I have never gone to Rite Aid before as the closest one is about 45 min from my house. I was just wondering if there would be a max limit per customer on these?! I wouldnt want to drive there just to have them all gone.

Personally, I always calculate gas & tax in with the purchase price to see if deal is actually worth it. I would think 1-1/2 hours round trip would be way too costly in time and gas to make it worthwhile. Happy bargain hunting, Michelle.
It might be 2 UP per card, but how many cards does each person have? One of the cashiers at my local store told me that people come in there with tons of cards that belong to their aunts, cousins, parents, or siblings.. so that’s why the shelves are cleared.
I did this deal today! My rite aid has $1 off any size mq by the full repair in. Bought my 4 for $1.27 each with my 20% off rite aid discount and paid $1.08 + tax and got 2 $5 UPS.

i did this today in Cali combined it with the BigSexy, Crew, Chi deal and made out with a $10 MM.

I actually rarely shop there and there is one less than 3 minutes from me. They are constantly out of stock and I find that CVS has better deals.

My Rite Aid told me that they only get stock every 2 weeks. Seems like they never have the items to begin with. Would not go much but it is very convenient for me. And the staff is pleasant.
I don’t have a CVS or Rite Aid near my house, but I do love my Walgreens. hehehe.
Just bought 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners. They are regularly $1.49 here, and they rang up for $1.19 with my 20% discount. Got back 2 $5.00 +ups! Thanks sooo much Collin! Made my day – lol!!
A Rite Aid cashier just said (before ringing them up) are you expecting ups rewards, and I said yes. She said, the mgr said no, it was only for the regular size. I said, ok…well, could we just try it just in case? She said No! lol
how can a cashier freaking refuse to let you buy something?! how does she know you’re not going on a trip & need some travel stuff! ugh
And the above picture has the $5 posted right on the signs so they must be fully aware of this deal. They might want you to try this product and it is something John Frieda i’m sure reimburses them for.
my mom just was at RA and tried doing this and once it was paid for and all, there was NO Up’s that came out ?? My mom said that it isnt for this deal for some reason? not sure what happened then

I had the opposite happen. As I was making my second purchase with my reward, the women at the register next to me was complaining that she couldn’t get the larger ones, the cashier was telling her only the small ones were allowed.
She also wouldn’t let me buy more than one shampoo and conditioner. So I was only able to purchase one set for one up rewards. But one is better than none. 🙂
There’s a limit of two. Why would the store in turn limit you to one. How odd.
I did the deal and my 20% off discount was applied making it an even better deal. I only paid $1.19 for each of my trial size products.

I shop at my Rite Aid on Saturday afternoons because they get stock in friday night and restock saturday morning. Not many know that in my area though. So I don’t have to rush out to get it sunday morning and I don’t have to worry about no stock. My rite aid is pretty good about stocking and having supplies if you go the right day.
Does anyone know if rite aid accepts coupons for free products? I have a coupon for a free herbal essences that expires tomorrow ande would like to use it there

Rite aide is always out of stuff. I live 3 minutes away from one i still don’t like going because of this. Now, they will not give you rewards on a raincheck.
my Riteaid includes the Up Reward on the Raincheck, which is awesome, because then you don’t have to pay upfront. That’s why I don’t mind that the shelves are always cleared, because the deal is even better with a raincheck! 🙂
How would they apply a redeemed raincheck for two items at $1.59 each (or less) and apply a $5 +Up reward?
It did not work at my rite aid and the manager said he could not let me take it out of the store! Lol

I just did this deal in South California and it worked. The rewards printed for the first two I purchased and didn’t work for the second two I purchased, but the manager was nice enough (though in a rude way, which is what I hate about rite aid) to make them come out anyway.
She just clicked a few buttons and re-printed the receipt with them on it. So I made $10 dollars and only spent $4 out of pocket. Awesome!!!!
Be careful of this, looks like it may work for some but not others. Here in Richmond, Va I tried this on sunday twice because I saw them labeled and thought hmm awesome a money maker. I did not get one either time. I figure it was too good to be true, but thought I would try as stranger things have happened with couponing.
First of all I can’t understand how any store employee or Mgr wouldn’t permit someone to purchase something, regardless if there’s a reward afterwards or not. Please, call Corp everyone!!! This is rediculous. I’m pretty sure I saw these signs near the travel sizes at my RA but for some reason didn’t pursue this. I think I’m going to at least try the deal once and see what happens. My local RA is wonderful but the one across town is awful. So I guess YMMV.
it only works on the red bottled travel size. you also get a $5 up for each travel size big sexy hair, rusk items, and there was one other but i can’t remember what it was. limit four on the last group i mentioned!!
When I went in yesterday, I told the cashier what I was trying to do. She’s my buddy because I share my deals with the gals there all the time. We eagerly waited to see if the UP+s would print. They did and after we stopped rejoicing, she said that she’d be trying it herself. Make friends with the cashiers for their benefit, not just yours.

found a whole endcap of FlavorIce 16 packs 75% off (makes them .37 per box.), which I bought as a filler to roll my $3 UP. Love profit!
Don’t know if anyone has already mentioned this, but the tags on the shelf at my Rite Aid said this deal was good through 10/25! Not sure if this is true for everywhere, but if it is, you still have plenty of time to try again if your store is all out right now!
This deal works in GA! Just left with the last 4 bottles of Full Repair shampoo & conditioner. I had 4 $1 off coupons that did NOT exclude trial size plus my 20% w/ card. Paid $1.10 oop for all 4 total and received 2 $5 Ups!! And today was a good day! 🙂

I went to rite aid tried to do this it did not print a reward also there was no fuse beverage and no airwick candles on sale……
I m suprised it worked everywhere else…weird….

The register reward didn’t print for me, but when I told the clerk about the shelf tag, she went to look at it and offered me a $5 gift card. I was thankful for her willingness to honor the shelf tag and happy to receive a gift card. 🙂
(However, she removed the shelf tag by ripping it off of the sticky part, so I don’t think she was planning to put it back.)

I live on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I just tried this and did NOT receive an Up Reward.
I tried doing this deal today at Rite Aid ( i bought 4 total ) and my Ups didn’t print!! So i called customer service and told them that there were sale signs saying you get 5Up if you buy 2. She said that it was a mistake and she wouldn’t give me the Up rewards!! I even said that since the sign was up, it wasn’t my fault, they should still honor it and she said they would not!! Not a nice customer service representative at all! I was pretty bummed.
The same thing happened to me today! Rite Aid customer service refused to honor the deal! That is why I stopped going there. I made an exception to get these awsome deals today and what do you know, a major bust! Oh well!
I did this 3 times. The first time I only bought 2 and the plus up didn’t print, so I called customer service and she said it should have and is supposed to be sending me $5 in plus ups. However I did this again today and no plus ups printed, so I again called customer service and was told the trial size was not part of the deal and the stores were told to take it down last week and that I could NOT get the plus up even though there was a sign and it was their mistake not mine. I was very disappointed with their customer service this time 🙁

I’m in central California and this deal did not work. None of the John Freida products had a +UP reward. Was this in any of your weekly ads? It wasn’t in mine but I tried it anyway.
My RA didn’t have it marked on the shelf and when I tried it (I had to do one full size and one trial, because that is all they had), it didn’t print. So I guess YMMV on this one.
Tried this afternoon in S.C. and there was no tag. And no +Ups printed. So I returned them.

I went to 2 of my nearest RA and both stores had tags on travel size john frieda products and it is valid until 10/23. I was not able to try this because the shelf were empty.

I tried it this morning and the up’s didn’t print 🙁 I purchased a trial sized shampoo and conditioner and used a $1/1 for each but no up’s. I am wondering if I should go ask about it?
Went back and talked to manager, they wrote me the up reward 🙂
The company accidentally sent out signs for the travel size as well as the larger bottles, but caught the mistake about a day after the signs had been posted (once people started getting the great deal). The +UPs for those items have been removed from the system and won’t print anymore.
