Just for reference in case anyone’s in the area– I went to my DC WF yesterday to score the chocolate chips deal, and the cashier told me the corporate office tells them that stacking is not okay, but that some stores will do it against company policy– and to ask the customer service desk about a specific item and 2 specific coupons for it.

I’m just going to try to get in his line next time since he seemed to know his stuff and told me he thinks they’re two different things and should be stack-able!

    • Tracie

Collins link to the frugal find has a link to whole foods corporate coupon policy. I looked at the mid-atlantic region policy, and stacking is ALLOWED. Perhaps you should print the policy for him.

    • wendy

I live in cleveland area, and was told once that they don’t stack. Then went back the next month and was told that all whole foods would now be able to stack coupons. (new policy or something) Haven’t tried it yet, but now ask every time and they say yes you can stack and there is no limit on coupons any more. I used 14 yogurt coupons in one transaction.

  2. Kimberly

I wish that I had a whole foods near me 🙁 but as a former chef its probably for the best that I don’t! Too much temptation!

  3. filipinoapril

And remember to use the voucher that was available several weeks back if you bought it…

  4. filipinoapril

Just called Orlando WF and customer service said stacking is OK. Yay!

  5. Ana

I find my local whole foods to be great about stacking coupons. They do look at me like I have grown two heads though when the bill goes from 15$ to 3$. Funny thing is, few if any, use coupons at whole foods. They are used to pretty well off customers but this doesn’t deter me as I love this store!

    • irene

The people who shop at WF regularly can’t be too concerned about finances. It’s hard to buy anything — even bulk items — without making a significant dent in your wallet! The cashiers are always nice, so presenting coupons shouldn’t be an ordeal. As an avid couponer, it is the only place I haven’t attempted to coupon shop — just seems odd, like couponing at Saks!

      • Tracie

Actually, I disagree. The 365 everyday value items are a *really* good idea. If organic and natural food is your priority, it’s really hard to beat those prices. Now there are some pricey items, to be sure, but the staples can be pretty inexpensive (as long as you’re comparing apples to apples, and not organic brown rice to white minute rice with a coupon).

        • Kate

Agreed. I’ve looked at other stores that sell organic/natural items and WFM usually has the cheapest prices than compared to other stores. PCC (a Northwest store) has low prices on some items too.

      • wendy

we have food allergies and don’t have a choice. we go to trader joe’s first and then drive 1/4 mile down the road and go to whole foods. $300 every month just at these two stores.

        • Lisa H

We are the same way…FOOD ALLERGIES! I do save $30- $40 avery two weeks at Whole Foods in coupons alone and I typically dont buy anything there unless on sale.

          • irene

Sorry to hear about all the dietary restrictions! I prefer organic and non-processed foods as well, but am lucky to live near a farmers market that sells everything about half the price of WF. I go to WF to window shop and gawk at the prices. LOL!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I will be near there Friday! I Love the Terra Chips and I have been waiting for a sale….. 🙂

  7. CT

If you guys have not tried the Zevia yet, it is worth it! It is now the only soda I will drink, it is sweetened with stevia so it is sugar free and caffeine free! The black cherry and orange are awesome!

  8. Connie

The Zevia coupon I printed from that site says 1 per customer. Isn’t it a violation of the terms to use two at a time then?

  9. Anonymous

Regarding the chocolate chips, the online coupon will be posted for 50¢ off. The $2 off coupon is a Whole Deal print only offer (meaning you have to go to the store and get it out of the printed Whole Deal).

  10. aesha

are the coupons online wf website same as the one in the book they have in store that you get? – zevia coupon is that in the book- trying to save ink.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my store in Deerfield, IL the Indiana popcorn some flavors are 2/$4. This is a really good deal if you have both the coupons.

  12. Michelle

I went to my Whole Foods Facebook page. A few months ago one of the cashiers said Corp Whole Foods was going to not let this happen, 2 per item.
I said heres the deal, I have always used 2 coupons when you have a deal and when a mfg has a deal. I shop every week, and some of your prices are higher for certain things, so being able to save on a few items due to the two coupons per item, helps. Now if you are not going to honor this I can definitely go to another store, and also tell more than my share of bloggers to spread the word that you are stopping this, and this will spread quickly.
I got an immediate response saying they are looking into it, give them a few days… A few days later… I got word on facebook (so I can print if needed) that they DO allow One Mfg coupon per Item along with one of theirs. I felt so good… You have to fight even if they are a big company for what you think is right……….. =)

  13. erica

My WF is super nice with the coupons!

Also!! WF had a Cliff bar coupon a couple days ago -I don’t know if its still on the coupon website but MAYBE your local WF has some leftover booklets!

  14. guest24

Boy, the prices ARE regional. I just went to my Whole Foods in Houston…. The Zetia 6-pack was $5.99, Imagine soup was $3.99, but the gravy WAS $2. The Sambazon juice was $2.99/bottle, and the Chocolate Chips were $2.99.

    • guest24

I forgot to say, Our Whole foods DOES NOT stack coupons. So, bummer for Houston. You guys rock.

      • Vee

I too am in Houston and was dissapointed to see those prices you mentioned. I still bought 4 chocolate chips, flour and chicken broth.

    • Houstonmama

I’m in Houston and stack q’s at WF with no problem! Although every time I shop there and present q’s the cashiers look at me as if NO OTHER CUSTOMER there has ever used a q (and I don’t think they have!)!

      • guest24

Houstonmamma, Great… Which one? I went to the one on Kirby/Alabama, bought tea, presented the 2 coupons, the guys said, NO… I could only use one… Then went to the “New” one on Waugh, picked up the “coupon books” asked the guy, He , also, said NO….I’m headed to West-U Tuesday, Do They “stack” ? Help. Thanks.

        • Houstonmama

Yes, West U (Bellaire/Stella Link)! I’ve shopped there and stacked q’s with no problem. Just to confirm that it wasn’t a fluke, I just called there now to confirm…YEP! Stacking is allowed. Go get ’em, girl!

          • guest24

Houstonmama, Excellent. You are my new “Best Friend”. Thank You for answering me back. Going w/West-U tour today at 9:30. Plan to have fun.AND, if they stack will be worth the drive to shop there, as I drive to Sellers anyway.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Collin. Today I got: a bag of pastry flour, a bag of corn meal, a carton of organic chicken broth and a bag of terra chips for 3.47.

The hipster cashier with the too tight girl jeans said to me in an unimpressed tone “Impressive. I’m impressed.” But I know he was impressed. That’s badass. 😉

  16. Qpon Saving Mommas

The Whole Foods Kids Club not free in my area. I called to verify and was told it is $15 a year, and each class they sign up for they get $3 off. Then they get a gift card for a free gelato. It probably varies area to area is my guess. I still may sign my kids up anyhow since my son loves to cook. Thanks for at least making me aware of this program, did not know about it.

  17. Lisa

I went to my Whole Foods today and got the chocolate chip deal. Turns out, the one in the flyer is a misprint. That is the reason the online coupon is only for 50 cents. I had to get the coupons honored at my customer service desk; register accepted one, the gave me cash back for the others. The stores were told to accept the ones in the book until they run out, or some stores have even gone through the books and removed that coupon. That is why some of the coupons are missing from the books.

  18. Joy

I just got back from Whole Foods (in Michigan). The chocolate chips are 2.69, but thought .69 was still a stock up price (the coupon rang up with no problems). Some of the Indiana popcorn was on sale for 2.78, so .78 after stacking. Some of the Arrowhead Mills products were on sale for 1.99, so free after coupons. I saved over $25 with my coupons, buying 14 items. My store told me that technically they do not stack but they have a policy of pleasing the customer, so all the cashiers do it. FYI, they have their 2012 calendar available for $3 that has 20 Whole Foods coupons in it and the proceeds benefit charity! Also, although I’ve never done it, I know some people will use 12 of the Whole Foods coupons to get a 10% percent discount.

    • rebecca

I’m in the chicagoland area and the CS guy actually ENCOURAGED me to go and grab 12 booklets and try for the case discount! WTG for the CS guy atmy WF <3

  19. cynthia

Hit my whole foods this morning and scored 15 bags of choclate chips. They were full stocked but I fought the urge to buy more..hehehe! With the “case” discount they came to .42 cents a bag. SCORE!
My WF just opened a few weeks ago and they are great. No issues with coupons or stacking coupons, super friendly and they are always in ahh of the money I save. Biggest score was the .49 for a 6 pack of zevia last week. used the $3.00/1 coupon (had friends and family print me some) and it was on sale plus the case discount! WF is my new BFF…hehehe!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is also a coupon you can get from Whole Foods for Pacific Natural Foods and Pacific Natural Foods has printable coupons on their website.

  21. julie

My WF in Chicago had celestial seasoning herbal teas 2/$5. There’s a $1 q in the nov/dec whole deal book as well as $1 in the 8/28 ss, so $.50 tea! It did exclude some varieties but a great deal.

  22. Erin

Wow. Prices do vary. The chocolate chips are $3.99 at my Whole Foods! I’m in Richmond, not NY, for goodness sakes! Even with the coupon, it’s not a great deal in my opinion.

    • Valerie

      Hi Erin,
Our WF in CT, also sells the majority of the chocolate chips for $3.99, but if you look carefully, you should see way on the end, is one baking choc chip for $2.59 in our store, but some have it cheaper. Our store was all out and the manager said that I could get a raincheck, but the likelihood that they will be restocking is very slim, as it was a huge misprint and it’s costing them lots of money.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The prices and the deals vary. I am in Chicago( ironcially in the zip code where the coupon found) and my Whole Foods do not stack so and their Chocolate chips were 2.69! I can only use 1 coupon per transaction so that even worse. I did get the whole wheat flour though> it was 1.99 here and they do not allow for overages in Illinois. I may go back and get the chocolate chips anyway and another bag of flour and cornmeal…. 🙂

  24. rebecca
