A 27oz bag is not a really big bag…you can get a better deal from Walmart any/every day. Thanks though for the hard work Colin! We love you.

    • mistercheap

      Sorry J,

But you are incorrect. This is TWO BAGS 54oz total for $10 (nearly 3.5 lbs).

You cannot get these that cheap at Walmart. Only stores which come close would be Costco or Sams Club and those have a $40 a year membership fee.

    • LHW

I just noticed on Amazon that there is a 3 pack of 27 ounce bag for $18.24. Free shipping with Prime. I think that might be the best deal.

      • Kim

@ LHW….the Staples deal is still better at .19 cents an ounce, the Amazon deal is .23 cents an ounce.

      • Ms Tee

Do you have a link to this? I might like the amazon deal better since the closest Staples to me is an inconvenience. Thanks!

  2. Chandra Rikke

The shipping on the peanut M & M’s is $9.95. I also couldn’t get the total to update with the coupon code. I gave up. Of course, I would not pay the shipping cost anyway. I can get them in the store for less.

    • Kim

@ Chandra…..have the product delivered to your nearest Staples store and there isn’t a shipping fee.

    • mistercheap

Choose “Ship to a store near you” for free shipping to your local Staples. The coupon code should show/deduct at checkout. It will take off $9.95.

Sorry, but you CAN NOT get 54oz for $10 in the store. (except maybe Costco/Sams).

  3. Extreme Coupon Queen

For those who are wondering how this compares to buying the single serving packs: This is like buying 31 packs at 32 cents or so each, as they are 1.74 oz each.

  4. Kim

This works out to be approximately .19 cents an ounce and Walmart had their 30.5 ounce bags for $8.00 or .26 cents an ounce. So over all this is a great with Staples. Thanks!!

  5. Janette

Figured 5.00 a bag would make for a HUGE smile on kids faces when they open this from under the tree!

    • Ashley57

Sounds like a great idea 🙂

  6. Ali

Staples did this in October and it shipped for free to your home. Staples must have purchased a TON of these! I bought it last month and I thought it was a great deal! Love your site!

  7. Christine

I know this might sound strange but I can M&Ms for use in cookies or we take a couple pint jars with us when we go hiking, mix them in trail mixes for school, etc. If you have a FoodSaver and a jar with an old lid, you can get the FoodSaver® Jar Sealer you can can 😉 all kinds of candy. I suggest the ones without peanuts because the nuts inside the candy still go rancid after a while. We just opened a jar that was 3 years old and it tasted completely fresh 🙂 Just an idea.

    • Sarah

We have M&Ms in our (stand alone) freezer from 2007. My brother and sister-in-law bought a bunch of pink M&Ms for their wedding and there were lots left over. We opened a pack a few months ago and they were still good.

  8. Beth

I was able to apply my $6 Staples Reward in addition to the coupon code so my OOP was under $5! Love it!

  9. Sara T

    • Amanda

      hhahha love it Sara T

    • Collin

      😉

    • Janette

I understand Sara I’m 3 weeks away from my due date and it will be very hard to stay out of these and wrap them for presents LOL

    • Jackie

I’m with you Sara. I’m 7 weeks away and don’t need many excuses to buy candy when it’s on sale like this 😉

    • Rebecca

Okay, I am not pregnant, but LOVE peanut M&Ms!!!!!!!
So, I agree, forget the gifts on this one!!!!

This is the time of year when I try to stockpile my assorted colored candies like these. I then sort them into colors (with the help of my toddlers..even though we eat some of our stash) I use the orange/brown ones in cookies for thanksgiving green/reds for chirstmas, green for st. pattys. red for valentines day..stretching that candy dollar!! the treat the troops cookie recipe is my fav for making mnm cookies and we send a box to our troops too :)here is her recipe: The basic recipe is 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 2 large eggs per box. You can be creative by adding Rice Krispies, raisins, white chocolate chips, M&M’s, etc. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes (but underbake at least one minute). visit https://www.treatthetroops.org/index.htm is you are intersted in baking cookies for the troops 🙂

    • Jackie

Great idea! Do you do this with the peanut m&ms? I’m sort of wishing these were plain m&ms for sale.

    • Megan

As the wife of a Marine who is getting ready to deploy and former AF myself I thank you for doing that! You have no idea how wonderful it is to get mail from home and how AWESOME it is to open the box to homemade cookies. (We fight over them!!!) 🙂

      • cheapomom

Because we live in the south, I usually make southern style like redvelvet cookies (redvelvelt cake/whitechocolate chips), or southernpecan (pecan cakemix and pecans) or chocolate w/mnms…We always write a note..if they are stale when you receive these cookies..Please feel free to use them as weapons! 🙂 There is never a shortage of addresses at our local churches so we always ask them for extra names of local servicemen during Christmas. GodBless you for all your service. It takes sacrifice on all in the family of a Military family and we are truly greatful for your part in that. :0)

  11. Heather

  14. Ms Tee

How fast does it ship to your store?

    • mistercheap

usually within 5 business days, sometimes as soon as 1 or 2. Many of you should be able to pick them up late Tuesday or Wednesday. You’ll get a notification.

      • Ms Tee

        Thanks!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

A craft shop like AC Moore or Michael’s (with a 40%off coupon, of course!).

    • Jenny

Big Lots has the cheapest price on these.

    • guest24

I just went to an All Town Garage Sale yesterday. I needed four 2 1/2 C. Mason jars w/wide mouth lids. Got them for 10 cents each. She wanted me to take the case. Wish you were there.

      • bucksaver

Check for cute jars at Salvation Army or Good Will or your local thrift store.

        • guest24

          Also a good idea.

  17. Niki

I want to use my Staples Rewards from the battery promotion a couple of weeks ago. Does any know how long I’ll have to wait for my “November statement”?

    • mistercheap

Staples rewards should be available online later this week (before this sale ends)

  18. Brianne

Got 4 bags of M&M’s (some for Christmas presents…they are my dads favorite! & a bag for me :o) ) & 2 pkgs of the TP for $31.08 shipped to my house. I love deals that I don’t even have to leave home for :o)

  19. Barb

Sorry, I’ve gotta laugh. We women must not have a lot to do 🙂 considering how much conversation there is over a couple of large bags of M&M’s. Just too funny – and here I am commenting on all the comments! HA!

    • guest24

That is exactly what I like about Collin’s entry’s. We comment, we add our idea’s, And most of all we help each other…. The BEST blog around.

  20. Kelli

    Colin-

You just earned me a humongous hug and smooch from my peanut M&M loving husband. I bought 4 bags, got the BOGO discount, bought some tape (for Christmas presents) and used my ink cartridge reward check and paid $2.47 TOTAL for my order (had it shipped to the store)

You ROCK! Thanks for all you do.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just FYI, the 56 oz peanut m&m bag is $9.68 at my Sam’s club. I only know this because I have to buy one every time I go there for my addict husband.

  22. kellis

unless you have some super good deals this is nothing compared to the black friday riteaid ad from what I can see I will get 12.5 oz bags for .50 each If I have RR then they will be free:) I do have some pretty sweet coupons 2@ 1.50 a bag and $1 off two my sunday ad today.

  23. Cfernq

    OOS

  24. amy

Really, you are going to put your hands all over these candies then give them to someone as a gift. That’s pretty disgusting.

  25. Myself

Good luck getting them at Rite Aid. Even on a regular Sunday, getting the deals can be challenging.
