Magazines.com: Request a FREE $10 Check?!
Wow! If you are signed up to receive Magazines.com emails, then you may have gotten a very *HOT* email… an email that you may have trashed thinking it was junk. So search this email address service@email.magazines.com to see if any emails pop up. Make sure to look in your trash and spam. The subject line of the email is “$10 Shopping Pass – 3 Days Only”.
Basically the email will provide you with a unique code to score a $10 discount on your purchases! Even sweeter, in the fine print it states “Your promotional code has cash value”. This means that you can actually request a check in the mail! Just head on over here, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form with your mailing info and gift card number. A $10 check will be mailed to the address you provide within 4-6 weeks. How cool is that?! 🙂

I got an email from them on December 3rd with the subject line “Go Gift Shopping On Us! $10 Gift Card Enclosed.” It was in my spam folder. Might want to search for that one, too!
I actually found 3 but when I tried to enter the 3rd one it said the code was invalid even though it says there is a “cash value” and it hasn’t expired. Anyone have that happen or know what I should do?
I tried from a separate computer, tried a different email, hand entered and copy and pasted…thanks in advance!

Has any one ever actually gotten the check? It says, “subject to approval”. If you decide to use the code instead of requesting the check, you can score free books like “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, “Driven” by Larry Bird, and “Think and Grow Rich”. Not a bad deal when you consider shipping is free.
They did this for $5 a few weeks/months back not sure. But I did get my $5 check.
These codes can be combined with their coupon codes so you can get free mags for up to $15 usually and you don’t have to even enter a credit card.
I have also requested and received checks from them.
Also mypoints.com has double points for magazines.com right now so you can score gift cards after getting free magazines!

I actually had two different emails. “Go Shopping On Us” from Dec. 3 and “$10 Shopping Pass” from Dec 12. Both giftcards went through! Can’t wait for a free $20!

UPromise contribution is 50% through 12/15 instead of the standard 25%. As you know, UPromise earnings can be redeemed for cash at anytime and the checks are mailed once per quarter.
Went through my old emails and found a second gift card code. I tried to apply it to an existing order (2 items), but it was not accepted. Instead I placed a new order and applied the gift card code. However you cannot double dip and also use a coupon code like $5 HOLIDAYMAGS offer.
This is awesome I just got an email confirmation that my check will be sent. My husband’s account actually got 2 x $10 gift card I searched for more on my email but I only received one. That’s ok because he got 2 confirmation for both of his giftcard. His was sent on dec 3 and dec 10, 2 different codes
Omgee this is really cool because I archived all my emails I found another $5 GC and $10 GC on my email after searching for more. It was sent Dec 1 and dec 3 and expiring dec 25 the email title “Editors Pick $$$ GC inside”. Are they really going to send these checks? I have a feeling they might get alarmed with multiple request.
