Heads up – there will be NO coupon inserts in the newspaper tomorrow, December 18th. This is a great excuse to spend the day doing something that you truly enjoy; I, on the other hand, will be trying to get myself organized now that I have arrived in Idaho. Hope that you all have a wonderful day tomorrow! πŸ˜€

Just curious… why wouldn’t there be any inserts? And how often does this happen? I am new so just trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks for everything Colin! Hope your new home feels just right this holiday season for you and your love ones. πŸ™‚

    • Melony

It happens several times a year. Especially around the major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas).

  2. Andi

Good luck settling in. Have a great Christmas in the new place.

  3. Linda

You are such a blessing to all of us here at Hip2Save, Collin. Thanks for putting the time in to put these deals up for us. I’m praying for easy acclimation for all of you over the next couple of weeks. Have fun in a new place with your family!

    • guest24

      Excellent…. Ditto.

  4. Shauna

Does that mean there will be 2 weeks in a row with no inserts? I thought it would be just next sunday (12/25) with no coupons, since that is the weekend of a major holiday (which is usually when they don’t put any in).

    • cynthia

I was wondering the same thing…

      • Denise J.

Sundaycouponpreview.com shows there is a P&G scheduled for Christmas day paper. Odd. Would have thought it would have been in this weeks and NOT next week.

        • Marie

Thats weird because Sundaycouponinserts.com shows no planned inserts for next weekend also.

          • mel

a few sites I have checked say there are no inserts on the 25th, a few say there will be a P&G! confusing!! I’ll just wait for the brandsaver email (If you’re a member of P&G brandsaver, they will send you an email telling you there will be an issue in the upcoming paper.)

          • scamhelo

i think its because the post on wenesday

  5. Beck

Wow, you keep up with this website even though you’re right in the middle of a huge transition. Great job and thanks so much!

I have relatives that live in northern Idaho. Beautiful country! Have fun settling in and getting reorganized.

    • D

I secretly want to believe she planned the transition around the no coupon thing, haha just kidding Coll, you’re just too sweet. πŸ™‚

  6. Katie

There will be a P&G insert on Sunday

    • Ginger

I thought the P&G was next weekend?

      • ann

        first week in January

    • holly

The P&G website says to look for the next coupon insert on January 1 which is a sunday so I am assuming there is probably going to be no coupons for 2 weeks….what a bummer.

  7. Tammy

Good luck getting moved. Just wondering do you remember which coupon inserts had the Johnson and Johnson $1 off first aid kit? Thanks!!

    • REgina

Check with a full cup .com to find which inserts your coupon is in.

    • Kabby

Try the Smartsource 11/06 for the Johnson& Johnson.

    • mel

the database LOL (see up at the top Collin is has coupons in her hand? click that box)

  8. Heather

Enjoy the time off ladies! We’LL be back in full force after the new year!!!!!

  9. Tina

Collin, I wish you and your family the very best with the move and for the holidays. You are truly an amazing woman. Being fairly new here, I have been so impressed with your wisdom and dedication to this site. Little did I know it was in the midst of a major life event. I am in awe of what you do and can’t thank you enough for all you do for those of us who wouldn’t have a clue about saving, without you. You ROCK!

  10. Jen B.

Thank you so much! I can sleep in now! Our papers sell really fast, so I have to get up early! I’d been so mad if I woke up, braved the cold and snow and THEN found out there were no coupons! You are an angel!

  11. lisa

I’m happy you made it safely…. Time to take a few days off and settle in you and all your hard work deserve it πŸ˜‰

  12. Sarah

Thank you so much for all that you do Collin!!! I can’t imagine moving AND keeping up a blog!! You have really been such a HUGE blessing to me and my family!!! We have had some rough times financially the last couple of years and I have learned how to save us a boatload of money through you. Through all of the awesome deals that you have posted I was able to buy Christmas gifts for everyone on our list (about 20 people) for less than $60 and the gifts are some of the best ones we have ever given. And the biggest help was that all of my shopping was finished a couple of weeks ago since I had a tonsillectomy last Tuesday. I can’t even take care of my kids by myself right now so shopping is definitely out of the question!! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH COLLIN!!!

  13. Natalie Masse

The best to your family. Happy Holidays!

  14. steph

You moved to Idaho! I was born and raised there! Now im in Arizona where they have a cvs safeway and Kroger! Sale city! Ha! Good luck! Love your site.

  15. Karen

Colin, you are amazing! You must be super orgranized to pack up the house, three kids, move across the country a week before Christmas and still keep up with the blog site! I have been reading your blog for three years and I am impressed every day how you manage to make time to do everything and still spend time to be such a great mom and wife. You are a great role model in many other ways as well to other young moms. Thanks for all you do!

  16. katee

  17. sierra

  18. Maha

    Collin…

I just wanted to say welcome home. I am so happy that you arrived to your new home safely. Hope you get settled in time for the holidays. Thank you for everything that you have done for all of us “followers”. I was on a MAJOR budget this year… I would not have been able to afford everything on my list this year without you!! Wishing you the best and much, much more!!

  19. Cindy

    Collin,

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate all that you do. I was shocked to find out you had moved and kept this blog going too!
You will enjoy Boise. Make sure you get downtown the see the Human Rights exhibit. It is truly amazing with the emphasis being on Anne Frank. I have stopped there three times and my travels and never grow bored. The whole exhibit is amazing. If the weather is good you can take your whole family on a nice outing. There are lots of places to sit and comtemplate the quotations and the really nice sculpture of Anne in the attic window. Don’t miss the stairs behind her that are meant to represent the stairs from the attic. You can then walk across the old bridge across the Boise River and then on to the Boise State campus.

    Enjoy your new home!
    Cindy

Glad to hear that you and your family arrived safely. Thank you for being such a blessing to our family. On a side note, my college-aged daughter asked me to teach her how to coupon over the holidays. She has already snagged some great deals from your site. I can’t believe that you were able to continue to post deals while 1) getting ready for the holidays and 2) MOVING!!!! You are AMAZING!!!!!!

  21. Dianne

Congratulations on your move! Have a happy holiday season with your family and thanks for all you do everyday for us all.

  22. Mon

No Inserts! What a coincidence? I think it’s because Collin moved and she’s is too busy to do the deals so the newspapers decided to give her a well-deserved break.
Or …on the other hand, did she move this weekend because there were no inserts? (LOL)

  23. Delene

Collin..So glad to hear you arrived in Idaho.. just ENJOY this week now that you are home with family and friends!! I am so very thankful for all you do for all of us.! Merry Christmas!

  24. Jenny

Thank you for all you do Collin! You are a blessing for my family. Merry Christmas.

  25. debbie

Wouldnt this mean no coupons for 3 weeks because of New Years?

  26. Nika

Yep, i didn’t realize, and bought a paper just for coupons to find none. πŸ™

  27. Jamie

So glad that you made it to your new home safely. I like that you make your blog personal too and share about your life events too. Thanks for your hard work and merry Christmas!!!

  28. Asia Payne

I have NO idea how you managed to move to a different state, with children, and STILL managed to keep up with the site!!! Do you have a clone??? lol!!!!!
You’re awesome – thanks so much for all of the help you provide!!!!
    Kindly,
    The Payne Family
