  Laura, you need to research that. the 3ds games cannot be played in the regular ds’s.

  no, you cannot use the 3ds games in the ds, you have to have the 3ds. It’s a bummer because they are releasing many of the new games in the 3ds only version which is not right for those of us with dsi’s and dsi xl’s sitting in our homes!

  the 3d games will not work in the regular ds, but the regular ds games will work on the ds. so in the example about the blu-ray, it is retro adaptable, but of coursse the games will not be in 3d. I researched this before I purchased the 3DS system. Wanted to make sure that the games he currently has will work on the new system. HTH!

   I was told no. You can only use regular DS games in the 3DS. You can’t use 3DS games in a regular DS. You can verify on your own but this is how they work.

   I googled it. You cannot play a 3ds game on a regular DS. You can play regular ds games on the 3ds though.

   There are lots of XBox 360 games for 4.99 as well – one of the games my husband and I actually looked for this past weekend and were not going to pay 30.00 for it! Just go to bestbuy.com and search under your game system then by price- lots of good deals!

    I just got another gift for my nephew to open for $5.34 w/ tax. Thanks! (It is important to note that this particular game is for a 3DS system and won’t work in all of the Nintendo DS systems.)

  Yes, I received confirmation that I could pick 2 (different) games up in the store, and 1 game would be shipped next year. However, I never received any e-mail confirmation, and this I NEED…you need to print your confirmation in order to pick it up in the store.
  If it went through, I hope I receive a confirmation BEFORE Christmas! (I was already disappointed that one would come next year.)

    I didn’t receive an email confirmation either….I did notice this evening that when I went to look up the deal for a friend that the game was initially saying $4.99 but if you added it to your cart it came up $19.99…..
