I’m stuck at the “Confirm Order” page and I clicked it and the first time it went to that error page again so I pressed “back” and pressed “Place My Order again and now it’s just sitting there saying “order processing”, but it says “Done” at the bottom, but I don’t think anything is happening. I’ve pressed the Place My Order button several times and it still just sits there. Is anyone else having to wait a while before it is confirmed or is something wrong?
Ok, I handed my computer over to my husband and he hit F5 and it refreshed and he pressed Place My Order again and it went through! So if anyone else has that problem that’s what you can try. Thanks so much! It took a while but I was finally able to place my order. This was perfect timing too because I have just started making my own liquid hand soap in order to save money. I was able to score 4, 8oz. bars of soap (enough to make at least 12 big batches of liquid soap) for just $6.91! That means each batch will only cost me about .58 cents and I can get about 5 or 6 bottles of soap from each batch, more if I decide to make foaming soap instead! I am one happy camper!
Btw, if anyone knows where I can get cheap soap bottles, preferably the foaming kind then please let me know! I used to keep my old ones from Bath and Body Works but of course I threw them away not too long ago since they were taking up valuable storage space and I didn’t think I would ever actually use them.
You can do a search online to find a recipe for turning a bar of soap into liquid hand soap. It’s really easy and only requires 1 cup of grated soap, 1 TBSP. of glycerin and about 10 cups of water. Just put everything into a pot and melt together on Medium high heat, stirring the whole time. It doesn’t take very long. Allow to cool completely before pouring into your containers. Mine was still pretty liquidy when I finished making it but I let it sit overnight and now it’s nice and thick. I think the final consistency of your hand soap depends on what kind of bar soap you use. I plan to experiment with different kinds until I find one that I really like.
To make your liquid soap into foaming soap, just add about 3 TBS of liquid soap and 2/3 cup water into your soap bottle that has a foaming pump and shake it until the soap and water are mixed. Voila! Foaming soap! I used to do this with store-bought hand soap at the daycare where I worked because we went through so much soap and it made it MUCH cheaper!
