OK, so these markers just seem to love to go in and out of stock. When I posted about them last night, they were showing in-stock for some and out of stock for others? Well, right now, for me anyways, they show in-stock yet again.

You can pick them up in the store too. I ordered 2 of the fine through the website (and already received them) and then had a friend’s husband who works at Staples pick up 2 packs of the ultra fine. So hurry to your Staples store to get this great deal!

I’m not sure why everyone’s acting like there’s a Sharpies shortage, but they are available in store for the same price. I went to a small Staples store and there were tons, maybe because there’s a limit of two.
Considering the closest store to me, is 9 miles and I have no other errands that far away from home, ordering online is appealing to me. The price makes them great to inter-grade them into teacher’s gift for appreciation week in May.
I had these added to my cart earlier when they were out of stock. I just checked back and refreshed my screen and was able to process my order. I’m keeping these for my son’s easter basket. He loves to use them to draw and for school projects. 🙂

How did yours look? Mine were shipped in a bag and the packages were really beat up. I’m more than happy with the price and how quickly they came, but the packages are so beat up I wouldn’t give them as gifts as I had planned (or at least not in the original packaging).
Is this in their ad? Can I price match this at Walmart?
Just went to my local Staples and got a set of the fine and a set of the ultra fine. I got the last set of fine in the store. Great price! I love using these to address the kids birthday invitations.
I don’t know if I’m crazy or what, but (after I clicked on the link and saw that the pens were out of stock) I glanced down on the right side under ‘Customers who viewed this item also viewed’ and saw the ‘Sharpie® Ultra Fine Point Permanent Markers, Assorted, Dozen,’ which were going for the same deal. I actually prefer these ultra fine Point ones to the regular fine point ones for crafts/card making/etc. I got a dozen for $3.00 plus tax after the $5 promotion was deducted toward the end of check-out. Just thought I’d say something! 🙂

Try again! I just scored 2 packs- Fine & Ultra Fine online. The 3 stores near me were all out and I called & checked 2 before driving all over town. They only had black available.

Not sure how long the deal goes for, but. I posted how I finally got the deal Saturday evening. I received an email this morning from customer service saying the items are not available for me and I won’t be charged.
Actually, I received the same email. 🙁 But did you get another follow up email? I got one apologizing that they couldn’t even back-order the items, so they credited the two “$5.00 coupons” I used for two orders of the sharpies back to my account. I checked my credit card account online, and alas, they gave me $10.00. I basically got $10.00. 😀

After my order went through Saturday afternoon and was confirmed, I received an email today saying the order had been canceled. They do appear to have them in stock online, but at the regular price. So I called customer service and talked to a rather rude man who said they were out of stock and they would not honor the promotional price, ever, even if they got more in stock. Maybe it’s just me, but I have had bad experiences with both the local Staples store and Staples.com. (Oh well, I don’t mind getting the super-good deals from them but I go to their competitor for my large office supply purchases.)
I too got an email that they could not fulfill my order. I did not get an email saying I’d get $5 coupons, but I also bought an office chair when I purchased 4 sets of sharpies and I got the $20 off the office chair. Got the chair for $39.99. Gosh, if I’d bought more than 4 sets could have practically got the chair for free.
