My son, unfortunatly, does not do well with the Walgreens brand but does with the Meijer brand. If you use a store brand other than Walgreens check this site out as they offered the same coupon to other stores-including Meijers! Thanks Collin!!!

Anyone use this formula? We used parents choice with my son and I am currently pregnant with # 2 and have been stocking up but wanted to know if this is comparable?

    • JenW

Based on what I read at Store Brand Formula’s website, it looks like they only have one Advantage (Similac Advance generic) formula that they market for Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc. One Premium (Enfamil generic) formula that they market for Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc. If that’s the case, then Up & Up, Walgreens, Parent’s Choice Advantage formulas should all be the same. Does anyone else interpret this the same?
We use Up& Up Advantage, but I’m thinking of buying Wags Advantage b/c this is a really good deal.

It wasn’t for us. We used Gerber Good Start at first. When I decided to switch to generic, it was because I found Walgreens brand on clearance. Tried it and my son had stomach problems and constipation 🙁 However, he did great on Walmart and Kroger brands. At this price, I’d give it a shot.

Thanks for the info. I may go ahead and buy it. If it doesn’t work, I’ll return one of the cans or donate to the Domestic Violence Shelter.

        • katee

you are not allowed to return formula at walgreens, they dont accept it back, for safety reasons

    • Jennie

My son has been on the Walgreens brand formula for about a month now and so far so good…

    • Samantha

I primarily breastfeed, but my son gets formula at daycare. He is 10 months now and I had been using Similac only since he was born, until about a month ago when I switched over to the Walgreens brand. He had done great with it, no issues at all. It is MUCH less expensive than Similac and the package is much larger.

  3. Clarissa

Has anyone tried any of the other store brands that they have listed. TIA

    • JenW

We have tried the Parent’s Choice (Walmart) and Up&Up (Target) Advantage formulas without any problems….

      • Clarissa

Yeah, my daughter is using the Parent’s Choice. We have never tried Walgreens, may give it a try.

        • sarah

Walgreens formula is the only formula I buy! My pharmacist said the same thing. Very comparable to enfamil.

          • Clarissa

Great to hear!!! I will be going to Walgreens tomorrow.

I assume the RR is off 3 and that it doesn’t stack….?

  5. Janice, Maui Coupon Network

think I’ll give this a shot. at about $20+ a containter (in Hawaii) can’t go wrong. Thanks!

  6. Kelsie

I just went to walgreens and the total comes out higher then $6.24 more like $14.46 give or take depending on the tax where you live.

    • Kelsie

My mistake I read this wrong. Sorry! Total is $6.24 for one and $14.46 for two!

  7. Jennie

My son has been on the Walgreens brand formula for a month or so and so far so good…

  8. trish

What is the Enfamil deal for next week? Is it a better deal or about the same?

  9. Becca

I was attepting a Wags spending freeze this month. So much for that!

  10. Jen

Has everyone had luck with these unadvertised RR deals? I tried it with the Chex Mix one two weeks back and it didn’t work. How do you prove to them that you should have got one if it isn’t advertised?

    • Stacy

The smart water RR just worked for me. Then the register gave me a coupon for $0.75 off one vitamin water. 🙂

if you have 20% off with rite aid wellness, rite aid will be a good deal too…
rite aid with $10 enfamil q and 20% card discount worked well for me…

    • chris

lee, what is the $10 enfamil q your are referring? I’ve only seen the $5 q’s from Doctor’s offices, or home mailers.

      • grocery

        $10 enfamil q is now expired…was a q on coupons.com

Learned something new this evening at Walgreens…if the sale is buy one get one half off (or whatever percentage) and they only have one left, they will give it to you for the half off! So I bought the last tub of Walgreen’s Advance Formula for 7.49, and used the $5 MQ to get one tub for $2.50! I had a RR that was about to expire tomorrow, and so I got some 75% off Christmas candy as a filler item. After tax, I paid $1.13 for the formula and the chocolate! So don’t be shy to buy the last item from a buy one get one X% off deal! I just asked for help since there was only one, and they told me they just give the last product at the % off price of the second item since they don’t have two! I breastfeed, but I do use formula to mix into baby cereal starting at 4 months for the iron. At this price, I couldn’t pass it up!!
