  3. Jen

The GE Energy Smart All You coupon says redeemable only at Walmart 🙁 but I thought I read somewhere there are some VV q’s for this?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Just updated the post and added the $0.50/1 coupon from the December Video Values.

  4. Russ

The $1/1 for the GE Lightbulb states “Redeemable Only At Walmart”.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Russ! Just updated the post.

  5. Casey

It has been a while since I shopped at Rite Aid. Could someone please answer this question? I read somewhere (perhaps this blog) that there is a new rule where you cannot use the +up rewards from one transaction on the very next transation on the same day. Is this true? Thanks in advance!

    • Elis

      Not true – roll away!!

      • Casey

Thank you so much for clarifying! This will help, I hate being stuck with +up rewards and feeling like i HAVE TO hurry up and go use them before they expire.

      • Casey

Thanks for the confirmation and for the link! Helpful 🙂

    • Katie

last time I was at my Rite Aid they told me I had to wait until the next day to use my +ups so maybe it just depends on your store?….

      • karol

they don’t know what they are talking about. No where does rite aid say that it’s just a rumor that got started and the employees always go with what they here. call 1 800 rite aid and they will straighten it out immediately!

    • Lachelle

I, too, thought they changed their policy so you couldn’t use the +up reward the same day it is earned.

    • fawn

It says that you are not allowed to roll the +ups on the application for your +ups reward card. my rite aid lets me but it does state it in the actual application that you are not allowed to use +ups for one trans. on another trans until 6am the next day.

    • Lauren Morrow

I was told by my cashier that as of January 1st you had to wait 24hrs to use your +ups, I always use the same Rite Aid so I’m not gonna try it, but their sales have not been that great for me the past few months anyways.

  6. Ze

There is a 0.50 video values coupon for the CFL Light bulb too.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Ze! Just added it. 😀

  7. Melissa Rose

    THANK YOU!!! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are welcome!

  8. Marlene Goldschmidt

Can you use the Stayfree BOGO MQ on the Stayfree BOGO1/2 sale? I can’t remember. Seems like a decent deal if you can.

    • Nichole

they let me at my rite aid and you can use a cents off coupon on the one you are paying 50% off for!!

      • Marlene Goldschmidt

So you’re saying that I can use a cents off Q with a BOGO MQ on 2 Stayfrees?

        • rebecca

As long as you are paying something for both, you can use a coupon for each. If you have $1/1, you may use two or you may use one $1/2 coupon. IF the items are Buy One Get One Free, per RA policy, you may only use a coupon on the item you are purchasing, not the free item. If you have a $1/2 coupon, you would actually have to purchase four items to use it since the two that you pay money for are the only ones the coupons would correspond with in that transaction. HTHs! 😀

  9. tiffany

I wonder if RA corp fixed the Skittles RA VVQ? A couple weeks ago there was a glitch in the system and instead of the q value being $.50 it was crediting $5 per q. They were notified and took the q off the website. It looks like they put it back on but with a different value.

    • fawn

it rang up at $ ,50 for me last week

  10. Arnela

If you received the Free John Frieda Precision Foam coupon for Rite Aid then it should make the deal a $2 money maker.

    • Traci Bidwell Lauritzen

      Thank you for the reminder!

  11. Susan

Question for anyone who may have an opinion about this….I got an email from Rite Aid yesterday about the Novartis Excedrin recall. I pulled my many bottles from my stockpile and planned to mail them back to the company. However, I really dreaded having to “inventory” everything (write down UPCs, expiration dates, lot numbers) since I have like 50 bottles. I just returned from Rite Aid and happened to mention this to my favorite cashier. She told me that RA corporate said to give cash refunds to anyone that brought in any bottles, regardless if they have a receipt or not. I was shocked. She did tell me that it would ring up at the lowest selling price, since there is no receipt. I would not receive as much as mailing them bottles in, but it would be A LOT less work. So, does anyone have an opinion on this or know anything about it that would be beneficial in helping me make my decision? I do feel like it would be sort of a “gamble” anyway in mailing everything in–it will take a while and then I have no idea what refund price they would attach to each item. Thanks for your help!

    • Stephanie

I’m not affected, but if I were, I would go the Rite Aid return route.

    • Amanda

I brought 2 opened bottles of 100 ct Excedrin Extra Strength to my Rite Aid this afternoon, and they scanned the bottles and said they could give me 8.99 each, so I left with a giftcard for $19 (cost of 2 bottles, plus the return gave me tax) as she said I’d have to take a Rite Aid gift card. It took about 10 minutes and seemed a lot less work than mailing them in.

      • Ana

If you were to mail them in do you have to pay shipping or do you go online and print a label from the manufacturer? Never had a recall before.

        • Brenda

          Ana,
I haven’t sent mine in for this recall, but it does say they will reimburse you for your product and $2 for shipping. Hopefully, you can ship it for $2 or less?! I don’t know if it’s worth it, I might just ask at my Rite Aid.

      • Susan

My store said they are giving cash. I will let you know how it goes. My cashier said to bring them in, and we’d scan them to see how much they come up for. If it’s ridiculously low, she said we’d just cancel the return. Would love the cash, though. Someone on Slickdeals said CVS was returning them for money to a giftcard, but the cash would be nice to tuck away for our summer vacation.

    • Heather

Go for it! And you should get shelf price. It is their policy to give a refund for the lowest selling price when you do not have a receipt, but a recall is different and the memo that the stores received even states to give customers a FULL refund.

    • rose

I have a bunch of bottles and am going the RA or CVS route. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the country (San Francisco) and I bet that the Novartis reimbursement will be a lot less than what I paid/will be reimbursed for locally. Others in the same sitch might want to factor that into their decision.

@Ana – the Novartis website states that you will be reimbursed a flat shipping fee of $2 or what ever shipping cost is printed on the package.

Website with all the recall info and forms is https://www.novartis-otc.com/otc/index.html

    • Kabby

Susan, I would take them to Rite Aid…take 6 of your 50 and give it a try….did you pay full price?? So have a number in your head what you would like to get for each one. Good luck.

      • Tilla R Ham

if she has a stock piile of 50 bottles, i’m guessing she didn’t pay full price or even near…it was a money maker with coupons last year and free twice since then

    • Jessica

I had 8 bottles I had to send in. Yes I had to fill out a paper for each one but I will be getting back the retail for each one plus $2 shipping for each bottle regardless of how you shipped them. So I was able to put all mine in a flat rate envelope which cost $5 to ship but I will be getting back $16 just for shipping plus the cost of all 8 bottles.

    • bucksaver

I took several bottles to Rite Aid. They would only refund one that had a Rite Aid price tag, but not any others. I explained that they would be reimbursed by Excedrin for all of the bottles they returned, even if they came from different stores, but they still did only one bottle. They gave me cash for the one return.

I tried to return several bottles at Walgreens and they told me it was too late.

I then went to CVS and they took the other 5 bottles and issued a gift card for the amount.

      • Brenda

        bucksaver,
Hmmm, it’s interesting how different each store responds. I’m glad you finally had success in returning them.
I brought in mine to Rite Aid today and told the employee that I wasn’t sure if I had purchased them at Walgreens or RiteAid and she had no problem taking them all. She said that it wouldn’t matter because they would be reimbursed for the products anyway.

    • Peggy

I’m not returning mine. I only have a couple bottles and couldn’t see any problems with them, nor was the recall for anything serious enough to take them back and risk being without them…or wonder if I’ll be able to replace them for what I got them for. I’d much rather have them on my shelf.

  12. christine

Can’t find the Finesse coupon mentioned – 10-16-11 SS. Not in the Michigan inserts. Sad.

    • Ana

Nether can I in MA. In fact I never get ANY of the Finesse products in my inserts.

    • Kristen

Me neither, and there have been a lot of good deals using those coupons since October. I can’t wait for that coupon to expire since I always get my hopes up until I remember that I don’t have that one, haha.

  13. Kat

I have a question about the KY deal…the second one will only be 2.70 so will RA accept a $3 MQ for it? One time I tried to use two John Frieda coupons on a BOGO50%off and the second one was less than the coupon value and they refused it. This would be a good moneymaker, but I dont even wanna try it if it wont accept both coupons.

    • Sephiria

It should work. Today I bought an item in which the MQ was more than the amount of the item, and the register took it. I *think* the cashier is supposed to adjust down your coupon in that case but they never do at the stores here.

    • bre

Yes as long as you purchase the 2 and use 2 coupons you are fine. The cashier had the same questions so he asked the manager and he said yes as long as my total for the 2 was over $6. If they refuse speak to a manager.

      • Kat

My store is getting a little crazy. Before they begin scanning coupons, they print out the receipt and look it over 10 times and check values of products against values of coupons and video values.

    • Ronda

  14. Ana

For the Finish deal. Anyone know how much the 10-12 count go for?

Also there was a 1$ coupon in the 1-1 S/S and a 1$ in this weeks SS.

    • Stephanie

It was on price reduction for $2.49, but I think the regular price was $3.99. I don’t know how good of a deal this would be, their cleaning stuff is priced high. IMO.

      • Ana

Yeah I always get this stuff next to free so even 2$ for 2 packs is too much. My Rite Aid allows me to use a coupon on the free item most of the time so maybe 1$ for two is ok.

Thank you! You saved me the effort of doing all of my math (with +UPs at the store)

    • Kristen

Yes, I think it’s on sale this month one for $2.49. So it would actually be a better deal to just buy 1 and use the $1 VV coupon and the $1 manufacturers coupon, which makes one pack $0.49. Although if you are used to getting them for free, even that is probably too much for you 😉

      • Ana

Oh cool! So the BOGO sale doesn’t apply to the item on price cut? Usually with Rite aid if there is a BOGO sale, one item rings at whatever the price is (2.49 since it is on a monthly sale) and the other rings at 0. Either way it’s a good deal!

        • Kristen

I thought I saw someone on another site say it was BOGO free at the regular price ($3.99), but I don’t know for sure.

          • Monica

I did this deal this morning and the BOGO is on the regular price of 3.99.

    • Jenna

This is a very good deal. I went to my rite aid with the rain check for when they were on sale for $2.49, but turns out they cant do a sale on top of a sale (BOGO) this week. So it would be better to do the BOGO sale , because i used 4- $1/1 coupons, and ended up paying $4.23 for 4 10cts of quantum! such a good deal!

  15. money_saver

does RA accept 2 BOGO coupons (one manufacture and one RA coupon or sale promotion)? when i watched collin’s videos, she says you can, but according to their policy it says:
Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased.  A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.  Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.

im new at this couponing thing so can somebody please clarify? thanks in advance!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In a BOGO sale, Rite Aid allows the use of one cents off manufacturer’s coupon AND one Rite Aid coupon. Keep in mind that Rite Aid does NOT allow Buy One Get One Free coupons to be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.

    • couponingintherealworld

Collin’s video was from “the good ol’ days” when we could in fact use the 2 together, …. but not since this past summer, maybe even spring.

That is good you read the Policy over, that will mke couponing easier for you right there…knowing the rules!!

  16. Nancy

I have a question on the Resolution Rewards – can we double dip on that? For example, if I get the $20 worth of Vitamins and get the $10 up reward, will the $20 still count towards my total goal of $100? I am at $50 and need to hit goal of $100 by next week so I don’t want to “waste” $20 if it doesn’t help me get closer to my goal. TIA!

    • Ana

Yes it will. Last week I did the OB deal where you bought 30$ of qualifying products (the OB was free last week) and got 10 +Up. All of it counted towards my Resolution rewards. Witj the John Frieda this week I will reach my goal. Honestly I am so shocked. I would have maybe paid 4 $ to get but the 10 and 20 + Up plus 100$ worth of stuff. I am new to couponing but this just blows me away!

I am not sure of this but check your receipt and it will tell you just like CVS.

    • Kabby

Yes, it double dips…I keep using my earned ups to pay for the next great item that has coupons and gives me more ups…..I just wish I could have earned more than one monthly reward…did it in a snap with hardly any OOP….look for the pamphlet near the weekly circular for the items included in this deal…..you will be shocked all the items included…good luck.

      • Ana

Does it print as a 20+Up or 2 x 10+UPs? Hard to make a 20$ purchase at Rite Aid for me.

        • Kabby

It prints a $20 reward….been working on some ideas to get to $20…I never have that high of a bill…one idea is to include some photos that are trapped in my cameras SD (have not printed pictures in quite a while).

          • Ana

Unless you want them right away I would wait. There are so many free pictures deals or 99cents for 99 pics (snapsfish currently) etc. Better to get an expensive products you love but would not otherwise buy. Maybe parfume for gifts in the future. Means no money out of pocket in the future. LOL I feel like I’m rolling in it!

  17. chantele

When I earned mine last week it my purchases counted in both totals.

  18. Amanda

Will Rite Aid take 2 coupons for a BOGO (ex, the Finish, using the 2.15 coupon)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In a BOGO sale, you can only use one manufacturer’s coupon per 2 items purchased.

This is taken from the Rite Aid coupon policy: “Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion.”

  19. Debbie

I have two q’s for free Jon Frieda haircolor foam would I still get the up rewards?

    • Susan

Yes–you will get reward, even if you get item for free. However, I’m not sure what the limit is on that deal, so I don’t know if you’d get reward for both.

    • Brenda

      Debbie,
Yes, you will get the up rewards. Easy moneymaker for you! Also the up reward limit is 2 so you can use both coupons and earn 2 -2 up rewards!

    • Ana

This will also count towards your resolution rewards.

  20. kel

I think I have a $10 off ky coupon…..will that work on the ky deal? And if so does anyone have a scenario? I have two of them….
    thanks!

    • Kim

if it is a printable coupon it is over rite aids limit of $5.00 HTH

  21. Melissa

are the VV coupons regional somehow? i don’t have a skittles one??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, the same Video Values coupons are available to everyone. I still have the Skittles coupon available under the Wrigley category. Hope this helps! 😀

  22. andrea

The KY Jelly coupon that I received states one per coupon per customer. Was this on all coupons that came out a few weeks ago? It also states that you cannot use more than 4 like coupons in the same transaction. Wondering if I could use the printable and the one that came from the insert even though both say one coupon per customer. Any thoughts?

    • Alison

They do state one per person, but the bar code number on my printable coupon and the one from the insert are different numbers so they aren’t technically the “same” coupon. I’m thinking we should be able to use both, since we would only be using one of each coupon

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Well, shoot! The fine print of the $3/1 KY coupon from the 1/8 SS does state “limit one per person” so I just updated the deal scenario. Darn!

      • Amanda

Also, I apparently have a $3 off coupon with an expiration date of 3/31 and a $2 coupon with an expiration date of 2/29. So I could use both of those and probably still get 2 for free (and it be a bit of a money maker). Right?

      • Melissa Marie

        Colin,

The KY Coupon I received says limit one per person, but it also says limit 4 per transaction. I think we can use up to 4. I was able to do so at RA this morning.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much! Just added it. 😀

  23. Lucy

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE MATCH UPS, YOU ROCK!! Quick question: On the Nature Made Deal wouldn’t the deal be: $21.98 minus $2, $2, $3, $3 so pay $11.98 instead of $10.98? Still a great deal at .98cents each.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for catching that Lucy! I just corrected that math error.

  24. Carol_R

Thanks so much for the match-ups Collin & all the hard work that you do in helping us get great deals!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome, Carol!

  25. Alena

Collin, could you please check this?
Brita Classic Pitcher or Replacement Filters 3 pack $14.99
    Get a $5 Single Check Rebate #8
Use the $4/1 coupon from the 12/4 SS or 1/15 SS
    Pay $10.99
    Get a $5 SCR
    Final Cost $5.99!*
I think you counted $5 SCR twice here.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Alena!

Even though I mentioned the SCR twice, I only counted the SCR once in the deal scenario. The item is priced at $14.99 so after the $4/1 coupon and the $5 SCR, the out of pocket cost is $5.99. Hope this helps! 😀

  26. faye

isnt there also a $2/1 KY Jelly coupon out there u can stack with the $3/1 coupon to make the OOP only $2? you may wanna check it out!

    • Amanda

I just saw your comment! I also posted the same thing above. But I think it would be: B1G1 50% off @ $5.39, total=$8.09, use $2 & $3 coupons, pay $3.09, receive $4+UP Reward=2 for FREE + $0.91 money maker

  27. Jessie

Does anyone know how much Always pads and Tampax cost at RA? They’re B1G1 50% this week and using the $2 coupons from 1/2 it could be a good sale.

    • Jessie

      oops meant 1/1

  28. Andrea

Rite Aid would not take the coupon for the honey bunches of oats because the word Walmart is on the coupon????? Anyone else have a problem?

    • fawn

I have but as long as it says man. Q on the top and i point that out they will take it.

      • Andrea

I did and they still told me no……….

    • Kelly

Yes — I just went to Rite Aid to use this coupon for the Honey Bunches of Oats, but they said the same thing to me — because it had the WalMart logo, they would not let me use it. It seems strange, because it didn’t say “Redeem Only at WalMart” on it. Kind of annoying!!

    • Kelly

Yes, I had the same problem, they wouldn’t take the coupon because it had the WalMart logo on it. I disagree because it didn’t say “Redeem only at WalMart” like some say. I didn’t argue, it seems it doesn’t do any good anymore because it seems as if they’re all sick of couponers!!

      • Andrea

I just had the same problem and tried pointing that out and the cashier when ask the manager just to be sure and it was a no go. Oh well.

        • Amy

It beeped at my Rite Aid and they wouldn’t take it either even though I pointed out that it didn’t say “redeemable only at Walmart.” The manager was all huffy about it too. I think this is the last straw for me and Rite Aid. They are making it too hard to coupon there and don’t appreciate my business if I try to use coupons.

          • Melissa R

I just chatted with Rite Aid about this issue:

Welcome to Customer Support. This is Dom B, how may I help you?
            Melissa
Will Rite Aid accept a coupon with a WalMart logo if it is clearly labeled as a “Manufacturer’s Coupon”? It does NOT say redeemable only at WalMart.
            Dom B
If it is a Manufacturer Coupon, yes. We will accept it.
            Melissa
What do I tell the clerk if they refuse it?
            Dom B
Ask to the speak to the manager, and he/she can clear up the confusion for you.
            Melissa
I hope will be that easy! 😉 Thanks for the information.
            Dom B
My pleasure Melissa. Thank you for contacting us today!

fyi there’s 17 new Load2Card coupons you can download to your Wellness+ card. I haven’t used any that I recall since the program started and so far they’re not exactly what we’ve been hoping for but nonetheless we’ve still been downloading.. =)

  30. Karin

FYI – KY deal there was a printable $3 off Q as well as the KY Q from the paper (1/8/12 SS – K-Y Save $3/1 product (expires 3/31)) Couldn’t you use one of each to be able to use 2 coupons on this deal?

  31. couponingintherealworld

I hope collin won’t mind me sharing, I have put together a scenario to get nearly $50 in products for under $5 Out of Pocket, this is assuming you have NO +UPs or GC to help you!
You can click my name above and scroll down or click Rite Aid to see the scenario.
I hope some of you will find this helpful!

Thanks for all the teaching the last few years Collin!!

  32. Dolly

The $2 UP reward for Conair is not printing. The manager said you have to buy the one in the flier.

    • Coupz

True..was about to post this !

  33. Gio

Just did this great deal at Rite Aid

    Purchased:
1 Maybelline color sensational shine lipstick 7.19
    1 Maybelline duo pearl eyeshadow 3.34 (50% of 6.69)
    used:
$2 Rite aid VV coupon for Maybelline Eye Studio (Jan.)
$2 Rite aid VV coupon for Select Maybelline products (Dec.)
    $1 Maybelline Color Lipstick
Total $5.53 rec’ed $3 Up for purchasing $10 worth of Maybelline
comes out to about $1.26 each after Up reward

  34. Ana

AT my store there was a KY product for 4.49$ at BOGO. Making the OOP 0.74$ (after 6$ in coupons) and a 3.26$ MM. They only had one of this and I wanted another product but look for it if you can.

    • Jennifer

Hi Ana – I tried this and the $4 +up did not print. They told me it was because I had to purchase the KY @ 5.29 or higher as stated in the ad to get the +up reward on buying two.

  35. Nancy

Am I the only one irritated about the Visa Gift Cards being advertised as a resolution reward again? Isn’t that considered “false Advertising”? I really wish they would offer an alternative or honor what the ad said.

  36. Ronda

Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner – $8.99
    $4/1 coupon (SS 01/08/12)
    Pay $4.99

  37. db

Does anyone know if Walmart will price match the Honey Bunches of Oats deal? My riteaid would not accept the coupons either. And if so, would they do 2/$5 or 2/$4? Thank you!

    • Brenda

      db,
I’m sure all Walmarts are a little different, but mine would honor the 2/$5 price only.

  38. Becky

Do the video value coupons work On one item only or multiple items per transaction?

    • Brenda

      Becky,
The Video Value coupons will only work on one item and each coupon can only be used one time. I sure wish they would work on multiple items, like Walgreens do!

  39. aleta

My rite aid did let the Honey bunches go through–love that cashier! I would think Walmart would match that price–let us know how it goes.

  40. Steven J Recore

The Colgate pro relief sensitive toothpatse and pro relief toothbrush is buy 1 get 2nd 50% off. The toothpaste is $6.29 and the toothbrush is $2.49 with 50% off. Now can I still use the $3 off RA coupon for the toothbrush? I have the $3 RA coupon for the toothpaste and the $3 one for the toothpaste I just don’t know if you can use the toothbrush coupon because with the 50% off brings below the $3.

  41. JenP.

I just went into my Rite Aid and they would not accept the coupons with the Walmart Logo for the Post Cereal. I tried to explain that they were just Manufacturer’s Coupons, but the manager would not accept. I have a call into Rite Aid Corporate. Did anyone else have this issue?

  42. Rach

Collin, you’ve seen some of the conversation here about the coupon with the Walmart logo not being accepted. I had the same problem at my Rite Aid. Do you have any suggestions as to what we could say to the cashier?

  43. luvpinsanity

I found a bunch of clearance at my store – all 50-75% off. There was no Christmas stuff left, and what candy was left was only at 75% off. What a bummer.
