If you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide. …And if the coupon jargon below starts to confuse you, take some time to read through the Coupon Newbie section.

Also, as most of you know, Walgreens finally released a corporate coupon policy. You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink.

  3. Ash

Can we use $5 proglide razor or cartridges coupon on Gillette styler?

  4. Stacey B.

I was wondering how to use a B1G1 free MQ with a B1G1 50% sale. Would the cashier take 50% off one item & I would get the other item free? I’m fairly new to couponing & for the life of me, can’t figure this one out! Thank u in advance for any help.

    • AG

Honestly, I usually avoid using B1G1 free coupons on BOGO 50% off sales because it’s a crapshoot. Some cashiers insist on giving the 50% off item free. You never know till you get to the register, because most stores don’t have a policy on it.

Also, I’d recommend passing on the Walgreens MIRs unless you’re planning to wait a long time. I submitted one November 6th and didn’t get my rebate card till the first week of February.

      • rashelle

they dont usually process the Walgreen rebates until the end of the coupon book. If you get your rebate back on a Walgreens rebate card you get an extra 10% and then the next time you submit the rebate you can enter in the rebate card number and you get the rebate back a little faster.

    • Michelle

According to Wags corporate you should get the full price item for free. I’ve called and confirmed it myself. How painful it will be to get that to actually happen at the store is another story.

  5. kim

free glade if you have the house party q’s! I was hoping for a deal on these before they expire in march!!!

    • LaToya

      I have these too!!

      • Kristin Robinson

I just noticed the samething YAY

  6. Alla

Thanks for the wonderful matchups, Collin. Seems like we got a decent week at Wags again. Woohoo!!! Your matchups are always the best. Have a great weekend.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks, Alla! You have a great weekend too! 🙂

  7. lisa

There was a pdf Hugggies coupon a while back. $3.00 off any Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers. Can we use this with the above diaper deal??

    • Lisa

Do you have the link to the PDF if it’s still available?

    • mel

Is that a legit coupon? I’m not aware of Huggies putting out coupons in PDF form.

      • amanda w

        yes i have it to!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! 🙂 Just updated the post with this link… thanks!

  8. Russ

If anyone has any of the hexagonal GSK coupon booklets that were all over the place last summer and fall, they have a $1/1 Poligrip coupon with no size restriction (x03/31/12).

    • Michelle

I thought I remembered seeing some in my stash! Exactly where mine came from whoohoo!

    • Sharon Fuller

Thanks for the heads up! I think I have them somewhere.

  9. Nikki

Quick question…we can only use the rr on our next purchase, right? So we’re still paying full price for the 1st transaction? (minus any coupons we have of course) When the “final price” is posted for these items, it is the price for the next purchase we would make, right? Sry, i get confused. Lol

    • mel

that’s how I do it. I never have counted my earned rewards on my first transaction. I know some people do, but to me, it seems like you would be counting the reward twice, once when you get it, then when you spend it. It just makes more sense to me to count rewards on the transaction I use it on, rather than when it was earned.
So if I spend $13 and get $10 back.. I still spent $13 of my cash, I just turned $10 of it into store $$. Then I deduct the reward on future transactions.

      • Alice

Alternatively, in order to avoid “double dipping”, we count the reward only when it was earned. That way, the item that was free after RR is indeed “free” and we just happen to have store credit that we’d need to spend on a future visit. Makes more sense to us this way, but whatever works!

      • cutsiecow

Mel I figure it the same way you do, because its cash out of my pocket.

  10. megan

If you printed the $4/1 Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Cleaning System coupon you could score that for .99 after your $4RR!!

  11. Mitch

More M7M’s! I have more than I can eat thanks to you!
And thx again for the got2be hair stuff, I used 8 coupons at once, the last one did not work, but I got 8 products for $5, I am quite happy with that!
    thanks!
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • AYESA

AT THE STORE I WENT TO THEY DID NOT TAKE THE GOT2BE COUPONS THE CASHIER KEPT ON SAYING THAT IT WAS FOR THE FULL SIZE PRODUCTS ONLY???????????? HAD MY BABY WITH ME SO I JUST WALK OUT OF THE STORE.

      • MelissaA

Your coupons were correct. If I were you, I would call Walgreens Corporate Monday morning, explain what happened to you, and make sure they know that you left everything there and just walked out since they did not want your business.
I think you’ll be surprised with the results you get. 🙂

  12. MA

Thanks for the wonderful list Collin. That took a lot of your time, especially with all the others that you do. You’re the best!

  13. mkw

There is a 50-cent Simply Juice coupon in the spring diabetic magazine available at the WAG pharmacy counter. . . .

    • Judy

Also, the 50-cent coupon for Simply Juice in the Spring Diabetic Magazine at WAGS is good on any size too! My Albertsons (Dallas-Ft Worth area)has the smaller 13.5 oz size on sale 10 for $10 or $1 each. Since my store doubles, it makes them FREE! Woo-Hoo!

  14. Shaina

Can you get rainchecks from Walgreens on things that are not in the ad? Like if there is a sale on cereal for 2/$4 but it’s not in the ad and they are all out, can I still get a raincheck for it?

    • linda

      yes you can

    • Nicole

I think so, but I know that if it’s a RR deal that you can get a raincheck of the sale price of the item, but you don’t get the RR if it’s past the week that it was originally offered.

  15. Marissa

    Thank you!

  16. Nichole

Can I buy as many of the glade expressions as I want and still get a register reward for each one I buy? I have $2 off coupons from hosting the Glade house party, so I think it would make these free plus make me $.01.

    • Serena

They must be bought in separate transactions to get the RR.

  17. sne3103

Can I do the Belvita deal multiple times and still get the RRs ?
    i.e.,

    1st transaction:
    Belvita Breakfast Biscuits 8 pk $2.99 = $1.99 RR
Use the $1/1 coupon found in the 2/26 SS
    Pay $1.99
    Get back a $1.99 RR
    Final cost FREE!

    2nd transaction:
    Belvita Breakfast Biscuits 8 pk $2.99 = $1.99 RR
    Buy a small filler item
    Use the $1/1 coupon from 2/6 SS + $1.99RR from transaction 1
    Pay $0
    Get back a $1.99 RR?

Would this work? Also, what is the cheapest filler item that they have available? Thank you so much for any help, I really appreciate it!

    • Jodi D

From my experience you can use the biscuit RR to pay for Tran #2, but it will NOT generate a second one because you cannot roll similar RR to print another one. Hpe this helps.

    • Marissa

Not if you use the RR to pay for it. Walgreens (most of the time at least) you can’t pay for something with the same RR and have it print. If you had a previous RR you could use that and it would print!

    • Serena

No, that will not work, you cannot use a RR from the same product to get the same product again. But, you could use the burts bees RR to get the be vita. Cheap fillers depend on the store, some have pencils or candy for .09 cents.

    • Gil

      Surprise!
Guess everyone knows by now there is no 8 pack Belvida.
      The boxes contain 5.
Don’t know why they listed incorrectly…we hunted all over for a larger size. But when we got to the register, it did indeed print the RR.
You can roll these puppies with the Burts Bee’s Cough Drops 🙂

  18. Dawn

Do all of these sales begin at midnight tonight or do they start tomorrow? Ours is a 24 hr store. Is the March coupon book out yet or do we get it on the 1st? My husband’s plane is running very late, so I’ll be up and needing something to do so I thought I would shop at midnight.

    • Alla

Dawn, my suggestion would be call the store you are going to shop at and ask them when do the deals start, just to make sure you get your register rewards. It depends on the store. I had this experience on Black Friday last year and since my 24 hrs was open I called and asked when the deals start and they said at midnight. However the one that opens at 8 in the morning had them start at 8 morning. So I would say call the store to find out. And make sure you ask them abt the RR deals particularly if you are planning to get the deal that invloves RR’s. HTH.

    • Amberly

At my store the deals start at 1:00 in the afternoon on Saturdays!!! Definitely check with your store.

  19. Gentle

When did FB have the coupon for the Nivea lip balm? I guess I missed that one. 🙁 I got a coupon from FB for $1 off body wash or lotion but nothing for the lip balm. I LOVE their lip balm.

  20. Karen S

Anyone have any problems with Walgreens adjusting down a mfgr coupon? I tried it the other day and the cashier told me she could not do that or she could loose her job. I wanted to do the Cortaid deal above this week but don’t think my store will let me adj. down the coupon to match the price.

    • kellie

Yes, I have had the same problem…..they say with their new registers, they cannot adjust a coupon down….tried with the Got2B products that were B1G1 at 5.99…had 2 $3.00 qpons; cashiers would only accept one $3.00 qpon…..

    • Gentle

I bought something the other day where the coupon would have been an overage and the computer beeped and said that my item didn’t match the coupon even though it did and so the girl entered it manually and gave me the full amount of the coupon. But, I doubt that will happen often if ever again because most of the clerks at my Walgreens are getting really obnoxious and hard to deal with.

    • Chelsea

Make sure you carry the coupon policy with you. I bought 2 got2be hair style items last week and the 2nd $3/1 coupon wouldn’t scan and the cashier wouldn’t adjust it down. She called the manager over and the manager wouldn’t adjust it down either. I brought out the coupon policy, showed them that it was n the policy to adjust the coupon down (they’re not losing any money anyway!) and they adjusted it and i was able to get my 2 hair stylers.

    • Marcos

Yep, it happened to me too with Got2b, tne manager make a MOD of the product to make the both st $3.00 so that way both coupons could be used, and no problem.

  21. Lynn

I was wanting to do the glade impression and scrubbing toilet kit in the same transaction. Both are made by SC Johnson, will i still get the RR since they are both made by the same company?

  22. jana

Walgreens has the new Infant Care coupon booklet out!! 🙂

    • Julie

Where do you live? What part of the store did you find it in? Do you know if there is the Wags diaper coupon in it again? I saved so much last year with that diaper coupon. Also, toward the end of December, the cashier took and cut out my Wags diaper coupon from my book and said that corporate policy had changed and I wasn’t able to re-use the Infant Care coupons more than once (I had used the same coupon book over and over in previous months). I called corporate and they didn’t give me a straight answer, so I am not sure what it the correct answer regarding their Wags store coupons. Thanks!

      • jana

        I live in southwest Missouri

    • Jessie

I saw these but the one I saw expires 2/28/12.

  23. jan

just asking.. having troubles with “my” walgreens. can i not use 2 coupons when something is on sales for b1g1?? they always have and the last 2 weeks they won’t. not a happy walgreens shopper at the momont:( usually LOVE my/our walgreens. any suggestions would be great:)

    • Robin

Their coupon policy says you can, but I had the same problem

  24. Tracy

Would this thermacare deal work? Buy 3 BOG50% off- 16.23 use 3 $3 Qs (need 2 computers) pay 7.23, turn in for the $10 pfizer rebate 2.77 MM!!!

  25. jana

I got it in the cosmetics. As far as I know they are still reuseable, not just a not time per coupon. Here isnt a WAGS diaper coupon this time. 🙁 There is Huggies and Pampers

    • Julie

Thanks for the info! Bummer on the WAGS diaper coupon… i probably won’t keep buying WAGS diapers without a coupon, i can get Huggies cheaper with coupons.

  26. josie

Just purchased tylenol pain relieved on sale for $5.00. I had $5.00 coupon for the item paid only.41 cents but it did not print out 5.00 RR. The manager said since I used coupon I do not get RR. She totally embarrassed me and continued to lecture me. I told her I have done this many times. I will be writting Walgreens corporate office.

    • MelissaA

There was no RR that was suppose to print for the Tylenol Precise deal. It was only on sale for $5 and the coupon made it “free”. That’s all there was to that deal.

  27. caroche

I can’t find the M&Ms coupon; does anyone have the zip code? Thanks!

  30. edy

Ayessa, I’m sending u cpns for other items, monday!

    • AYESSA

      THANK YOU SO MUCH

  31. robin

I went to my walgreens this morning to get the cortaid buy one get one, had 2 $3/1 coupons and the manager would only allow me to use 1 coupon. She said it does’nt matter what the coupon policy states. One coupon per transaction, and the buy one get one was a single transaction. I tried to explain to her that the second coupon should be adjusted down. I don’t understand why they make a big deal about it, they will receive the full coupon value.

    • Tera

There is a new policy that corporate email to walgreens supposedly. Stating that coupon will not be adjusted down

    • Amberly

They wouldn’t even let me use one coupon because it says excluding trial size, and she told me .5oz is trial size. How is it determined if something is trial size???

      • katee

i work at wags and as far as i know corporate didnt send anything like that. and we are still able to adjust MQs down. sorry 🙁

  32. Jami

Loved these deals! I had an awesome cashier and she let me get 3 Nivea lip balms (rung separately) and I got one of the Scrubbing bubble kits, which works great! I went at like 12:30 am and the sales were already working. I paid like $12 and got $10 back in register rewards.

    • Amberly

FYI my cashier told me that the sales start working at 1:00 in the afternoon the day before (Saturday)! 🙂

      • katee

it depends on your store, the 1 o’clock thing isnt true for all stores so dont plan on that! also, even if the sales do start ringing up saturday sometime, the RR’s dont print till sunday.

  33. Sandra

Hi everyone-wanted to let you know that I tried the UltimateFlora deal at two different stores this morning. It is ringing up at full price $24.99, and the cashier said it is in the register as a Buy one, get one half off item. Both cases, the manager was able to price adjust the UltimateFlora down to $10 & the machine still printed out the RR. Took some convinving on my part that it was the right product, then they had to go check, etc… I don’t know if it is a national problem or regional (I’m in Louisiana)…but it will hold up the checkout line til they get it fixed.

    • Robin

This happened to me also in north Mississippi, rang up as 24.99. The manager did a price adjustment and fixed it.

    • shirl

The ultimate Flora is a National problem. It happened to me too. The managers at my Walgreens all seemed to know about it and just make sure they do a price modify from $24.99 to $10.00. It prints out the Register reward and that is why I didn’t catch it at first.

    • Vicki

I was just reading thru the comments to see how the b1g1 on renew life would worksince it’s free after RR….thanks for experience.

    • tia

I had the same problem today too. and even though it was marked on the self the clerk on the floor said that the product was in the wrong place. It just so happened that the shift manager had come in while I was still waiting at the register and she looked in the system to see if it was the correct product. She had the cashier adjust it down and my register rewards printed. From now on I will be watching each item price more closely when the cashier scans it.

      • Ruby

“I work at Walgreens and I am also an avid couponer. Please be aware that this item is not ringing up correctly at most Walgreen’s sites. This item is supposed to ring at $10.00 this week. However it rings up as $24.99 and as a BGLP (Buy One Get one Lower Price). To have this item ring up correctly your cashier needs to price modify it to $10.00. The Register Reward will come out of the Catalina for $10 with no extra modifications however. If you buy one at the modified price of $10 you can get the second one at the BGLP price of $5 (and your cashier will have to modify that one by hand too) but if you did this in the same transaction you would of course only receive the one Register Reward. The best price is still to ring each of these items separately.”

I posted the above comment below but it was before I read all of the comments about this. The price is coming up in the system as 24.99, and it will until corporate corrects it. In the meantime, it needs to be price adjusted by the cashier. Not all managers will know this however.

Just wanted to let every one know that I purchase the 500ml bottle of the listerine total care Zero. It was 50% off at my walgreens for $2.99. I had a coupon for $1/1 and used that besides. After I bought it I recieved 2 Total care Zero coupons for $2 off ANY SIZE. I went back and picked up another bottle and only paid $1.

I have been wanting to try the breakfast cookies, happy I can get them for free!

    • Jaimchl

And they are really good I tried the blueberry ones to see if I would like them before buying more…and getting home I had one and went back to Walgreens!

      • Gil

Blueberry seems to be the only game in town here in the Atlanta stores-I was at 3 different ones Sunday and no other flavors available 🙁

My walgreens advertised Gilette body wash buy 1 get 1 50% off BUT at the register I bought one and got one for free! I paid $3.00 for two body washes.

Has anyone else tried submitting the rebate for the Baby Magic online? I have been trying and it’s not going through or something. It doesn’t take me to the page that asks what form I want the rebate in — whether it’s walgreens gift card, check, etc. Please help!

Regarding the ‘Renew Life Ultimate Flora Daily Care Probiotic 30 ct $10 = $10 RR.’

I work at Walgreens and I am also an avid couponer. The best price is still to ring each of these items separately.

Just wanted to keep you all aware–hopefully this will help you have a smooth transaction!

  45. Ruby

Just read all the comments and saw that you guys already know the deal with the Probiotic item. I also see lots of questions about Walgreens policies–feel to ask me. If I know the answer I will offer it!

  46. Marissa

There is 2$ off ANY children’s tylenol Advil coupon in the infant coupon book
Soooooo…. would that take an extra 2$ off or would it take off 4$ (2$ for each one you buy?) THat would make it a much better deal!
