Is there a limit of one card?

  2. sheena

aww man, bummed its not available in mass!! :o(

  3. Kandi

Does it work on new ones or is it just transfers?

    • 4our2cents

Pretty sure it is just transfers.

  4. Kristen

Can’t do it because I have Express Scripts and they dropped Walgreens. 🙁

    • Maggie

Me too. Had to move to CVS since I refuse to add to the massive line of disgruntled people at Walmart pharmacy.

    • shelley

      same here 🙁

This card is not valid for and cannot be used by any holder who is a beneficiary of a Federal health care program such as Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part B, Medicaid, TRICARE, or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

  6. Peggy

They don’t accept tricare as of 2012

I’m bummed because back in the day when I signed up for walgreens.com account, I used my maiden name & it won’t allow me to update to my married name. Argh. Hopefully they don’t try to confirm my Medco coverage using my maiden name.

    • Mary @4our2cents

Have you tried calling Customer service. There has to be a way to change your name on the account. Either that or just create. New account maybe.

    • Laura

The same thing happened to me (not at Walgreens), they just added my married name next to my maiden name and I’ve never had any issues.

    • Ana

I had the same issue, but I was able to talk to their customer service through their chat link. They were able to fix it for me after I answered a few security questions. It did take a few minutes to kick in though.

HaHa, Oh my gosh Collin, love the Hip2Spend logo! Happy April Fool’s day, you are too funny and creative!

  9. Annie

Massachusetts is seriously one of the worst places to live. We get excluded from everything and taxed on everything.

  10. Jay

This might not make you feel better, but Ct, Ri, Nj, & Ny all have higher taxes than Mass.

    • jackie

Actually, that’s not always the case. I’ve lived in MA, CT and NY. Depending on your income level, income taxes can be higher in CT, but if you’re on the lower end of the tax scale, they’re higher in MA than CT. MA also has really high excise taxes that CT and NY don’t have. Captial gains taxes are WAY higher in MA and virtually nonexistant in CT (hence, the hedge funds!). CT has signicantly higher property (meaning land) some town, but other towns are on par or lower than the average in MA.

The worst was when I was living in southern CT and working in NYC. Got slammed with NYC taxes, NY taxes AND CT taxes!!!

Can we use the coupon more than once?

  12. Lori

FYI: once you go all the way through the process, there is a banner near the top of the confirmation page to print the coupon. I almost missed it because it looks the same as the banner on the previous page!

  13. nancy1191

It’s about time they have a clue and do something about it! I have transfered all our scrips to either Kroger (get $25 for trans scrip) or Meijer (I sometimes get a coupon). These places also charge less than my co-pay for many scrips when Walgreens is ALWAYS our full co-pay, Some scrips are even FREE! I have spread the word and others are finding the same thing.

  14. jamie

    love the new logo.

  15. Jacquie

So do we get an e-mail with eht coupon? I moved my prescrip. but I haven’t gotten anything yet?

    • Jacquie

      Nevermind, found it 🙂

    • Brenda Marie Bayus-Spriet

  21. cynthia

ugh…just filled 3 rx in the past week at CVS. Hopefully I can sneak in and get refills just before the expire date. tHANKS!

  22. Sara

Love the April Fools joke! Too cute!

  23. adrimom

Someone please explain to me how this works. I just got a new prescription for a medicine for my daughter. I DO usually get my prescriptions filled at Walgreens but this is a new one. Does it count as a “transfer”? I’m confused.

    Thanks!

    • Anonymous

If you have a new prescription and have NOT filled it yet at Walgreens… then I suggest you fill it at another pharmacy (Kroger, CVS, Rite Aid, etc). Then, transfer your refills from that prescription to Walgreens next month (before the 4/30 expiration date). This is the only way you’ll be able to use this coupon with your new prescription.

If you’ve already filled it at Walgreens, then it won’t count for this coupon. Current prescriptions at Walgreens can’t be transferred to Walgreens– the fine print excludes it.

  24. Brenda

Does the coupon come as an email?

  25. brenda

I did it on my phone and of course couldn’t print the coupon. I thought it wouldbe an email. Make sure everyone that you refill from a computer that you can print from!!! The banner for printing comes right after you submit the order. I almost missed it!

  26. Jenn

COLLIN!!!!!!!!!! HEADS UP! THE COUPON IS PRINTING WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE OF 5/30/12!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO! HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. cara

i did this over a year ago, does anyone know how soon I can do this again? (I had Rx’s at other pharmacy’s and transferred them to Walgreen’s to get the $25.00, and then back to original pharmacy.

  28. Nicholina Shelton

Can anyone tell us what the banner says? I see one that says Wcoupon Good at Walgreens, switch a prescription to us and get a $25 walgreens card.* Is this it?

  29. Cynthia

I tried to do this offer at Walgreens yesterday. I was there for almost and hour and they still could not figure out how to honor my coupon. How frustrating. They told me I was the first one to try and use the coupon and they weren’t given enough information on how to it. I had to pay–leave the perscription there and they are supposed to call me when they get the bugs worked out. The pharmacist was calling all over other Walgreens stores and the help desk and still couldn’t get an answer.

  30. pl4ygiirl

was worried it wasnt going to work =/ but gladly the manager was there and worked through it. They tried the Blue Gift card on the pix but it wouldnt work then they just used a regular card that is reloadable and it went right through. I was the first one to try so they thanked me lol. Now they are prepared.

  31. tess

I called the cust serv# b/c no coupon printed for me after I entered all the info. Spoke to a rep who said “Do not worry U may receive an email with the coupon included, but if not, do not worry U will receive it when u pick up the Rx” . Have my fingers crossed! =D

  32. kelly

I did get my card but it took 30 minutes, the staff had not done it yet and the directions they had to activate the card were not working. The wonderful staff kept at it and it worked eventually.

  33. Kathy

I went today, and spent quite a while waiting for them to figure out how to activate the gift card. They couldn’t get it to work even with the directions they had. Eventually they gave me an activated gift card that they had to do some in house paper work to account for. It was a very lucky day for me! I was just notified last week that Costco could no longer get the drug my husband needs, so I really did need to make a transfer. My oop for the rx was $1.10 and I walked out with a $25 gift card. Woo woo! Thanks hip2save and Wags!

  34. Heather

Bummer! My walgreens turned down when tried the second prescription..saying it is one per customer..even it is not anywhere in the coupon. Pharmacy manager was adament about not giving the card. I cancelled my prescription and came out..

Any suggestions how to to handle this rough managers?

  35. NC_Anna

🙁 I transferred a prescription from Walmart to Walgreens. Just checked and my $4 prescription at Walmart is $29.99 at Walgreens. They are transferring it back to Walmart for me. Gonna try and find another prescription to transfer for the gift card.

  36. Ana Radcliff

my Kroger just gave me $25.00 with a transferred transcription… No coupon…
call ahead and confirm with your local Kroger store.
