If you’ve been on the fence about whether a Disney Cruise is worth the cost, check out some comments left by Hip2Save readers on a previous post…

I just took my first Disney Cruise with my mom ( we are kids at heart) to Alaska and it was amazing, the service was fabulous, the activities were fun and being adults we never had that “oh man somone shut this kid up” expereince. We liked it so much we booked our next cruise on the boat! It’s very true you get what you pay for. I’m also a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member and it is the best!

We just got off a Disney cruise yesterday! It was so much fun! The entertainment rocked! Even though the boat was full, it didn’t feel too crowded. Disney does a good job if spreading people out. We will definitely go again!

And if you’re planning a trip to a Disney Resort in the near future, be sure to check out this post (and the 200+ comments!) for some great savings tips.

Thank you for this Kindle download! I’m a die-hard Disney fan. I’ve even considered moving to southern CA to work at Disneyland.

Got it. Lucky for me we live a hour and a half away from Disney world but if it will give me some great tips and how to save some money I’m all for it. I plan to take my grandson next January for his 2nd birthday.(if the mom will let me. I never know cause she says yes now but when the day comes it’s a NO. Wish we got along better)

Thanks Collin for this one. Perfect timing since my Aunt is taking my son and I to Disney World the first week of June. I won’t have to pay for the trip but tips on saving there will definitely come in handy!

One of my best friends works for Glass Slipper Concierge she would be great to call to book trips or cruises to Disney. She has worked at Disney in the past and knows all the places to see and go. Please Call her or email her for booking!

I want to take one with my kid but Disney cruises are so expensive compared to Carnival or Royal Caribbean. They need a payment plan promotion or something. Im just a single parent.

Check out the disney cruise line website often, they have a tab that says specials. It says check back weekly. Unlike Carnival, Disney cruise line includes more, so the price is higher. We actually met a couple with a little son and they regretted going on Carnival when they had to pay for every darn soda on the ship (its included with Disney, you just go to the deck and get it). And the stuff they have for kids is 10 times better. You even have a Wave phone if you want to leave one phone with your child in the play areas and go to the spa. They can call you anytime you are on the ship or Castaway Cay, its basically a free cell phone while on the ship or island.

you don’t have to pay for every soda. they have unlimited soda cards if you want to buy them. i personally don’t see the need, they provide unlimited coffee, lemonade, juice and iced or hot tea. besides the cell phone, what’s so different about a disney cruise? i haven’t been able tounderstand the price differential…what are they offering that justifies the higher price? just wondering.

I have been on a Disney cuise and many people I was with had also been on many other cruise lines and we all thought you get way more for your money on DIsney. Plus, if you watch for deals, then you go and get a great rate! We went for $2000. Meican Riviera tends to be one of the cheapest and always has good deals. The shows are amazing, everything is so kid friendly, obviously, and the staff is beyond amazing!

If you don’t have little ones, ck out other cruise lines if you are considering cruising.
Disney prices are higher than others like Carnival.
And if you have a generous budget-one of the coolest cruises is aboard the Viking River Cruises in Europe! Fabulous!

We went to Disney World the last week in February and I have never been so disappointed. They are remodeling and expanding and a few of the eagerly anticipated rides are now non existent. We have been many times before and it has been great but the park was so cram jam packed you could barely move…and the lines were horrendous.
With a two year old in tow we managed two rides. The restaurant food was awful and, of course, way over priced. Disney has lost its magic with me. I have done the Disney Bahamas cruise and it was superior in all aspects and I would do that again, but the Disey World Park, probably never.

Thanks for this Collin! We are planning a Disney trip for the beginning of June. I downloaded the book and already read it (it was short). I was already planning on doing most of the tips but learned a few new things….including how to park for free!

I used vrbo.com for my condo rental and am paying about $600 for the week for a three bedroom condo at a really nice resort. Full kitchen, etc. Can’t wait.

I am looking into getting a condo for our trip next year. How far from Disney and the beach are you at this condo? That’s a great price too!
