I have actually been through the Dave Ramsey FPU class and have kit. I will tell you, it is amazing. It really changes your life. It has changed my view on how I look at money and budgets. I really recommend this to everyone who is ready to take charge of their life and finances!
I can’t sing the praises of this kit enough! It feels so good to be debt free, it does take some practice and patience but once you figure out what works best for you and your family it’s so easy! The one thing he stresses is that if you and your spouse, partner, etc. can’t get on the same page with the program it’s not going to work. I have friends who went through the program and she thinks it’s dumb and to much work so they just live day to day struggling right along with the rest of the world! Go figure!
I am a FPU graduate and can’t say enough good things about this program. BUT they are currently unveiling a new box set/program (giving hints daily with the big announcement coming in another 11 days). So if you plan to self-study this is a great buy, but if you are intending to actually attend classes (which I HIGHLY recommend!) you may want to pay full price for the current version since it seems that is what all the classes will be using.
This looks like it might have some of the elements of the new program because it has the Complete Guide to Money versus the older version of the Financial Peace University book…we have the above version (that we bought 3 weeks ago at a Ramsey Live Event) and are currently in a FPU class and are the only ones with the above version, everyone else has the old version…
I highly highly recommend FPU. We did it before we got married and gifted it to my brother in law and his (now) wife before their wedding. My other brother in law is getting married next summer, so I just snagged this for him and his fiancee! A great price on an amazing program … though I would have paid full price for it regardless. =) It’s a GREAT wedding gift and can really set a couple up for success in their financial lives.
I completed the 13 week course that just ended 2 months ago and this program is AWESOME. Good price for the info you get. This program will TOTALLY CHANGE the way you look and deal with money. Highly recommend it!!!
Awesome deal for FPU, but keep in mind that this is a lower price because a whole new version of FPU is coming out in the Fall. You might see better deals as the summer wears on.
I love love love this program! It changed my life forever. It truly does change the way you look at money and spending money. I highly recommend this! Dave doesn’t make you feel bad for the choices you have made in the past, we have all been there. Instead he shows you way to change starting today with the way you budget and handle your income.
Also..download the Dave Ramsey podcasts for free and the app which has about the last 60 days worth of podcasts on it. It is amazing!!
