This summer, Apple stores are once again hosting Apple Camp for kids ages 8-12. This free camp lasts 1 1/2 hours per day on 3 separate days and is available at Apple Retail Stores throughout the country.

At Apple Camp, kids will learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at Apple Retail Stores, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival.

Space is limited and workshops fill up quickly, so head on over here and sign your kids up now! Just select your state and store and you will then be able to select the week you would like to sign up for. Please note that a parent must stay with the child(ren) during Apple Camp.

Fine Print: All campers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the Apple Camp workshop. Campers must also bring along a signed Camp Permission Statement (PDF) and a copy of their registration confirmation to attend.

do you go to all theree days or pick one day from the slot?

Yes all 3 days. When you click on Collin’s link that says “Apple Camp” above it shows the break down of what they do each day.

If your store is already filled for regular enrollment, I’d go ahead and sign up for the waiting list. We did that last year and actually got a call a couple days before the first workshop letting us know that a space had become available. My hubby’s son couldn’t attend with such short notice (he only visits us part time) but I think he’ll put him on the waiting list again since it seems like the chances of getting in are pretty good.
