I Just got the cutest email from a reader, and thought I’d share:

So I have a funny story to share with you (and possibly the rest of us hip2savers out there). Not too long ago you posted the free Disney Enchanted call. Of course, I jumped right on it. Well, as many of the hipsters, I was having issues. I tried the free code a million times but it was still trying to charge me a fee. I ended up giving up and going to bed.

I was hoping to have a call scheduled for my son’s first day of school. So today I had my usual 1-800 numbers calling me and I was ignoring them left and right. My son was getting off the bus and I wanted to take a pic (of course 🙂 ) So after the 100th call from the same number, I decided to answer the call. It turns out it was Mickey Mouse calling to wish my son a great first day of school. I completely forgot!!!! I am glad that they are so persistent. His bus was almost an hour late so I would have missed to opportunity from my first missed call.

Just wanted to share the story and tell you thank you for this deal! My son was so excited because Mickey was calling him! Have a great day!!!! 🙂

And, this fun freebie for the kiddos is still available if you haven’t taken advantage of it yet! I am glad to hear you had a good experience. I had a bad experience with Disney Enchanted Call. I scheduled a call for my daughter on my mobile and told her to expect a special call. I never received a call that day, but I did receive a message saying the call had failed. I had my phone with me all day and never received any call! I contacted Disney Enchanted Call and never heard back. Very disappointing for me and I had to get one of my friends to call and pretend to be Winnie the Pooh calling later that day.

Thank you. I am sorry to hear your experience was not the same. I saw that many people were having problems the day I was signing up for the deal. That is kind of funny with the friend, though. I wish that it had worked for you also… but I am glad that your little one still had a fun experience… even that it was your friend haha.Your secret is safe with me!! 🙂

P.s…. I’m the mom of the little guy above 🙂

LOL I am sorry for your frustration but I am cracking up imagining your friend calling and pretending to be Winnie the Pooh 😉

I’m with you Lisa, except that I did receive 3 calls back to back at 3:00 IN THE MORNING waking up my 7 month old baby. And so my DD missed her goodnight call and the rest of us were woken up in the middle of the night 🙁

Thank you for posting the code. I ordered 4 of these calls last year through the Disney Movie Magic codes. My daughter loved each and every one. I couldn’t imagine Christmas morning this year without a call from Ariel, but Disney Movie Magic hasn’t offered it as a reward.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

    Cute story.

Tip – You should add your phone numbers (including cells) to the National Do Not Call registry to avoid solicited calls: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
This is also where you should report SCAM calls like the “Rachel” automated call according to the FBI. It’s made a HUGE difference for us.

I signed up for this offer in March 2010 & never got the call, when I try to redo it I am getting the confirmation information from the previous order.

Glad to hear that the where persistent in calling *someone* back. I was able to sign up just fine, and of coarse forgot about it. They called twice and we didn’t answer, and the email they sent saying they would try a 2nd time came after the 2nd call (all of this happened w/in 5 minutes.) Just glad that I didn’t pay for it!

Does anyone know if this can be done to call a group of kids? I have more than one child, and I know they would love to hear from Mickey, but I don’t want to pick just one child to get the call, and it can get pricey to get several calls…

yes, we just got a call from mulan and it was for “hannah and madison”. worked fine except i think out phone call got cut off for some reason

did this for my daughters birthday on sat., it worked great and she LOVED it… she is still talking about how cinderella called her for HER birthday :)…

Our daughter scheduled this (after I told her about this offer) for our 4 year old granddaughter while we were visiting from out of state. When she was told she had a phone call she wasn’t interested because we were baking but as soon as she heard Mickey’s voice she was amazed. A few minutes after we hung up she received another identical call from Mickey. I don’t know why she got 2 calls but it enabled me to get it on video the 2nd time around.

Just ordered a call from Cinderella for my 15 year sophmore daughter who hates school! I’m sure in her teenage way she will love this call to encourage her to do her best on the first day of school:)

  9. J

Never got my call either. I even sent them an email about it, and they nevered responded. Very disappointed and suprised this happened with Disney. I’m just glad I didnt’ mention the call to my daughter bc she wouldve been even more disappointed than I was.

  10. Ashley

I also had a bad experience. They called once, not at the time they were supposed to, and I missed it. They didn’t call again, and I got the email saying that it was unsuccessful. 🙁

  11. Sarah

I scheduled this for my son’s first day of preschool in about a week. I hope it works out like scheduled……… I was kinda disappointed that they had 8 different princesses to choose from but only 3 “boy” options……….I wish that they had Lightning McQueen since my son LOVES him, but my son does like Mickey too.

  12. Leslie

Well, I had a great experience last time they did this. I had Tigger call my Mother-in-law who is having some health issues. Tigger called her and gave her encouragement. It was silly but she enjoyed it! 🙂

  13. Laurie

I am trying to complete the enchanted Call for my granddaughter and it says that I need to fill out my credit card information and the charge is $2.49. I entered the code from Disney Movie Rewards in the Promotional field. Anyone else have to do this?
