IMPORTANT UPDATE: From reading the comments that have been left this morning, it appears that Simple products are not part of the 3,000 Balance Rewards points bonus for spending $15 on beauty products. 🙁 Sorry about that… but this was a confusing promo as it’s hard to really tell what is participating.

Calling all you Walgreens shoppers! Tomorrow, October 6th only, score 3,000 Balance Rewards points when you spend $15 on select beauty products using your Balance Rewards Card. As most of you know, 9/16, was the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program. Please head here to read all about it. The 3,000 points is basically equal to $3, and once you hit 5,000 points you can redeem them for a $5 reward!

Check out this great deal you can score on Simple products (October 6th only)…

Buy 2 Simple Smoothing Facial Scrubs $5.35 each
Buy 1 Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes $4.34
Total = $15.04
Use 2 $2/1 Simple Product coupons found in the  9/30 RP (limit 2)
(or use the $3.50/2 coupon found here – watch video to increase value)
Plus, use the $1.50/1 Simple Cleansers, Moisturizers, Eye Care, and Toner coupon found here or here
Pay $9.54
Get 1,500 Balance Rewards points for each Simple item purchased = 4,500 points
Get 3,000 Balance Rewards for spending $15 (valid 10/6 only)
Total Balance Rewards = 7,500 – which means you only need 2,500 more points for a $10 Reward!

*There is also a $2/1 Simple Moisturizers coupon found here that you can use if you buy that variety.

This is a great price for 3 Simple Skincare products… especially when you factor in the Balance Rewards points earned!

(Thanks, Rachael and Shannyn!)

Was just going to say this but I think the Simple deal is for 1500 points each. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! 🙂

  4. Lauri

I’ve been wanting to try this product. Might just have to make a trip to Walgreens tomorrow. Thank you!

  5. Sondra

Does anyone know does it have to be done in one transaction? I’m anticipating that my closed store might not have all that I want to purchase and may have to go to more than one store. Thanks.

    • wags ba

One transaction to spend 15 but u can buy other beauty products to get to the 15

  6. Sondra

    **closest store not closed

  7. anderson

i’ve got a 3.99 off one moisturizing product peelie… could i use that and make for a sweeter deal??

  8. Elizabeth

Can you do this deal more than once?

  9. Denise

I’d like to see deals here for other products that qualify as well since all the blogs are only talking about the simple skincare line, so you know by the time you get to the store, they may be gone. I think Loreal mascara is also qualifying for this. My absolute favorite mascara – called Voluminous. Not the specialty ones, just the original. It’s the best and I’ve tried them all! Thanks Ladies!

    • mkw

Many of the Simple Skincare items were already gone at my Walgreens last Friday. It’s not worth the trip (20 miles!) for me. Wish I had more than one WAGS in my area.

  10. ashley

Does anyone know if elf is included? I really want the Disney villian palettes 🙂 thanks!

  11. MJ

Can I use a RR and still earn the Balance Rewards?

  12. rachFL

I went to walgreens this morning, spent over $30 on SIMPLE skincare items and did not get the 3,000 bonus points 🙁
I guess it does not qualify…

    • Denise

Did you ask the cashier what the problem is? I happened to go to Wags 2 days ago – bought 1 simple care wipes with a $2 off coupon and got 1500 points, and that was before the promotion today.

      • Kate

I didn’t get my bonus points either. Frustrated as the E-mail from Walgreens said skin care was included. I’m calling seeing if I can get credit. There wasn’t any signage about this one day bonus and the cashier knew nothing about it. The manager thought it was only on cosemetics. Very frustrating as I made a special trip just to make this purchase I was interested in trying this product line.

I was bummed this morning when this deal didn’t work as planned. I just got off the phone (855-225-9225) with Jeff and they added the 3,000 points to my account. I’m glad they came through for me.

  13. yessy

I bought $15.04 in simple products but I didn’t get the 3000 bonus points. Still not a bad deal since I used two $2 coupons and earned 1500 points for each product.

  14. Krystal

    I didn’t get the bonus 3000 either.

  15. Beth

Here is the fine print for the 3,000 point offer. ” Points will not be earned in a transaction where Redemption Dollars or Store Credit is used.” Does “Redemption Dollars” include coupons? According to the website, Simple products are included in store and online.

  16. caroche

I did this deal this morning; got my 3,000 points, but only one of the 1,500 points. The cashier called the manager and she printed out my remaining 3,000. Love my Walgreens on Lynnhaven Parkway between Salem and Princess Anne, Va Beach!

    • Jn

Could you please tell us what transaction you did? Many of them didn’t get the extra 3000 points.

      • Janel

I did the deal and did not get my extra 3000 points as well.

      • caroche

I bought 2 Simple smoothing facial scrubs, 5.35 each, and 1 Simple cleansing facial wipe, 4.34. I used two 2.00 coupons and one 1.50 coupon. My total was 10.29 with tax. I had no problem receiving the 3,000 points. The young lady who works the beauty counter even mentioned it to me when I was selecting the items. I wonder if you have to purchase the items at the beauty counter?

  17. val

    Didn’t work in orem UT.

  18. Trinity

So this can be done whenever as long as its done today? Just not tonight? I do want to try this but am hesitant now that people are reporting back how it’s not working 🙁

  19. Lori

Did not get the 3000 pts on Simple facial cloths

  20. Sue

Did not get the bonus 3000 today

  21. Lori

I just called Walgreens Customer Support and the reason they told me I did not receive the 3000 points was because my final cost AFTER coupons fell below the $15.

    • val

My store tried with a 29.99 perfume and nothing, is not about the coupons.

  22. Scott

I did not receive the bonus 3000 either. I used some expiring Register Rewards and wondered if that’s where things went wrong?

  23. Caro

I did the deal on Friday of buying 2 products with 2 coupons, but didn’t get the 1500 points each. The cashier gave me the brochure about the Balance Rewards and suggested I call them. While on hold, I read the fine print on the brochure and in the “Earning Points” section, it says that: “Points will not be earned in a transaction where Redemption Dollars or Store Credit is used.” I had also bought 2 bottles of Pert shampoo. My total after coupons was $5.16 and I used 5000 points (Paid .16 – a good deal!) I didn’t want to wait on hold for 30 minutes this AM, so I ended the call. A store employee told me, yesterday, that if you have at least 5000 points and use them toward a total of less than $5, it will wipe out all of the points. Does anyone know if this is true? If one has more than 5000 points, will it wipe them all out?

    • blinkycoupons

I don’t think that’s how it works. I had 7000 points and the machine prompted me to choose how much I wanted to redeem and I said $5, and it only took off 5000 points. It shouldn’t wipe out all your points.

On a second note, I was speaking to the cosmetics cashier at my Walgreens (who’s super nice and also coupons), and she seems to think that the points are not printing if you use coupons in the $15 transaction. Does anyone know if this is going to be the case for ALL balance rewards? Like, if you use coupons, will the balance rewards not print anymore?

      • mel

Caro, if you use redemption points (dollars) more than the amount of the total, you will loose the balance. Like if your total is $12.25 and you choose the $20 reward, you’d loose the $7.75. But if you use the $5 reward and you have 15,000 pts, you won’t loose your points since you chose a lower reward to pay for your transaction.

Blinkycoupons, using coupons doesn’t interfere with earning points. I have bought 4 of the clear care shampoos this week + 1 Degree deo, used the free men’s clear care wyb degree coupon and have received the 1000 bonus points each time (clear care is an unadvertised monthly bonus deal). Nothing “prints” just the receipt keeps a running total of your points earned, you choose to redeem them when you ck out.

        • blinkycoupons

Haha, that’s what I meant when I said it prints – like it prints at the end of your receipt as the “closing balance”

I tried the $15 – 3000 points deal and they said that the price had to be $15 AFTER coupons for you to get the 3000 points, which kinda sucks.

      • Caro

        Thanks!

  24. wags ba

Guys I wanna say it a glitch simple is indeed part of it they sent us bas a email saying so nobody has been getting the 3000 points no matter wat they buy makeup perfume ect and some spent way over 15 wit or with out coupons go into the store and a mgr can add them for u apperntly system being wonky again

  25. TM

did not get 3000 points today, cashier told me that you only get 3000 points bonus when you spent 15.00 after all discount and coupons

    • mel

I bought some make up earlier for my mom, did not use any coupons and did not receive the bonus pts. So I think there is an issue on Wags end. I’m holding onto my receipt and calling Monday. If they can’t issue the pts I’m returning the stuff.

    • Kate

This is a new system, but if it is after Qs. That is crazy. Do any other retailers that offer these incentives do it after Qs. I did the Revlon deal this week at Rite Aid and received my UP reward eventhough I dropped below $10.

      • Kate

This is from the E-mail sent to me regarding the 3000 pt Oct 6th deal. It doesn’t mention Qs or using Register Rewards.
        * Balance Rewards point offer good 10/06/2012 except when otherwise noted. Point promotion will only apply to skin care, bath, cosmetics, and fragrance purchases. Does not apply to previous purchases or taxes. Points will not be earned in a transaction where Redemption Dollars or Store Credit is used. See Balance Rewards terms and conditions for full details.

  26. wags ba

if anyone did not get there 3000 bonus points for the beauty deal call the number on back of your card and speak to a repersentive they will add it for your as there is a glitch in the system it will take 24 to 48 hours for it to show up

    • Kate

      Thanks!

  27. Elke

I just got of the phone with Wags, I was told the out-of-pocket purchase had to be at least $15. Also, it could take 3-5 days for points to show up on an account. Not all points will be added immediately at the register.

  28. Nitza

I went this morning and i get 1 for $5.30 and earn 1,500 points 😃

  29. Nana

Thank you so much for the info. I didn’t get the 3,000 bonus points either, but I used 3 of the Cottonelle RR $3 that I got from Sep, and buy 3 Royal gelation for $0.39 ea, I paid $1.75 for all. Ya~! Thakn you again.

  30. rn30032

called and spoke with a Balance rewards CS agent and she credited my account the 3000pts…..dont talk with a regular Walgreens CS agent, she gave me a hassle and finally transferred me to the other agent.
