If you’re wondering what a House Party is…
Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

What free stuff will you receive?
That all depends on the specific brand your throwing the party for. Each brand has their own unique Party Pack filled with all kinds of free stuff to make your party a success!

If your interested, follow these steps to apply:

I have a question, when hosting these parties do you have any follow up requirements with the company?

Anyone have any suggestions on what to write in your application to help you get chosen?

I received my Keurig party pack today. Woot!!! As for the question on suggestions on what to write to get chosen, I don’t know if there is any good answer. For starters, this particular party was only for Portland, OR and Seattle, WA metro areas. Some parties only ask you to fill out the application. This particular one did have questions before your initial address, etc. Another thing to think about is how many party packages are available. This one being such a high value (with the Keurig Platinum brewer) there were only 500 party packs available, where other parties may be 1,000 or higher. Just keep applying! This is the 3rd House Party I have hosted. I did a Chef Boyardee in 2011 and a DiGiorno in 2010. But I have applied for lots more. I don’t know if it REALLY helps, but they say to share you applied on Facebook, Twitters, etc and post in the party forums. Just keep at it!

Karla — you don’t have any follow-up with the brand itself. But you do need to post on the House Party webpage. You can do your invites through them. And they love to see pictures, but at least posts in the forums that you enjoyed your party and there are usually a couple surveys. They may send your guests surveys too. But nothing extensive.

It doesn’t seem as if very many people get selected.
