    I hope this works!!!

  2. Amanda

I already did this deal today, woohoo free $36 ecb

    • sarah

Can they be in the same transaction or do they need to be separate transactions?

      • Lindsey Kelley

It can be the same transaction, but a $36 ecb will be harder to use than getting 6 of the $6 ecb.

    • TODAY DEAL

hi, where r u located? im in norcal. thanks

  3. Ali

I did this last summer. Loved the creme! Can’t believe they are doing it again! So excited to make a trip to CVS!

  4. Cindy F.

Limit is 6! Woohoo. You might want to do seperate transactions or you will wind up with a $36 ECB

  5. Elizabeth

Woot. Going to CVS in the morning!

  6. Stephanie

I just went to my CVS and tried this and it didn’t work for me.

    • Cindy F.

i think if you maxed out on the aveeno deal it will not work. dont know if that is the case for you but it worked for me

      • Allison

I think that is the case, because I maxed out on the previous Aveeno deal and this deal didn’t work for me. I know it was working in the store though, because another shopper in the store told me about the deal and showed me her receipt and it worked for her.

So, everyone that used the max. of 6 for the previous Aveeno deal – this deal won’t work for you.

  7. Nichole Thibodeau

yeah it never worked for me either 🙁 also they have two tags on them . a monthly and weekly but i only got 1 X 6ecb when i bought the big lotions.

  8. janel

How do you know for sure it’ll work?

  9. bhw

Can’t wait to try this…thanks Collin!

I’ve noticed that a lot of Hip2Save readers make tons of comments on the CVS deals and not quite as many on the Walgreens or Rite Aid.

I know Walgreens changed but not sure how. I used to have a valued customer card that I had on my keychain and then they stopped using it. Now they only need my phone number. If I don’t remind them I’m a Walgreens customer, they do not ask for my phone number. So I have to be careful to remember or I don’t get the sale price.

How do the points work now with Walgreens? Are they like Extra Care Bucks? TIA!!

    • Alea

I shop CVS all the time – it’s just a better organized store to me with better prices. Great customer service and I like their rewards program better than Rite Aid or Walgreens (which isn’t as close to me).

  10. katie

i JUST got back from cvs… haha.

im worried to try this… i wouldnt buy those normally, so i dont want it to mess up on me!

  11. Jennifer

This is part of the monthly deal that involved Curel, Aveeno, Nivea, Jergens (I think) and something else. If you already did your 12 items (6 deals), you won’t be able to get anymore.

    • Melissa

I’ll try it out in the morning! Thx Collin!!

    • Vic

My receipt shows me 8 completed and 2 more needed for the curel/ aveeno deal. Did they change the limit?

      • Gaby

That just means you’ve done the deal 4 times. The 2 just means you need to buy 2 to get the $6 ecb. You can do the deal 2 more times (4 tins).

  12. Mallory

got $36 earlier today! apparently it is part of the monthly deal so i think if you have done the aveeno at any point this month, it may not work for you or may lower your limit

    • TODAY DEAL

hi, where r u located? im in norcal. thanks

      • Mallory

        Indianapolis

        • TODAY DEAL

          thanks!

  13. Holly

I don’t see Nivea in my ad here in Sacramento, CA….is this an unadvertised deal?

  14. Stefanie

I hope they still have some left in the morning, I am excited to go check this out! 🙂

  15. LeeAnn

This is the same monthly deal as the Aveeno, Eucerin, Curel. So if you did it, you are out of luck. It’s probably a glitch, so CVS will probably fix it by tomorrow if not (b/c of Holiday), Tuesday. I would suggest to hurry out and get it.

  16. melissa

Can ppl plz post WHERE this deal was successful? I’m in the metro detroit area….wondering if this worked for anyone in my area? TIA!!

    • Alea

I’m in Canton and it worked for me 🙂

      • Kan

good to know…I’m in Troy and will try my luck tomorrow 🙂

    • Colleen

  18. Stacie

It didn’t work for me cause I already did the monthly Aveeno.

  19. Brittany

  24. sean

Will be dead now thanks to QS.

    • Alea

      QS?

      • sean

Q s killed the deal by sharing it… it will be dead by the am

    • kidsallgone

Who or what is QS? & why blame anyone? Just curious ….

      • sean

No offense but you must be a newbie…history has shown deal will be kiiled by the amp

        • autumn t

This is suppose to be a fun thing…lighten up a bit!!! 🙂

        • Kidsallgone

I’m not a newbie either, but still not quite sure what you have against someone posting a good deal??!!?? Also, what the heck does “killed by the amp” mean? Boy, I’m sure outta the loop on all these “words” (QS, amps) LOL! 😉 😉 😉

      • Erin

Q’s Coupons and Savings–the person who sent the deal to Collin. He’s right, though. If there happen to be any left tomorrow, the deal will likely be dead. That’s what happened last time, if I recall.

    • Rebecca

I’m not a newbie here, but what do you mean by QS?

    • fingers

so true when deals hit “mom” blogs it’s done since they tend to buy everything available.

  25. Amanda

I can never find these small tins in my local store 🙁

  26. Alea

  40. zach

    worked here in maine

  41. Arielle

    Works in SC!!!

  42. MICHELLE

Just went! Worked like a charm. Thanks, we needed this to get out of our couponing rut!

  43. Rebecca

Just did this in the Pittsburgh, PA area and it worked. Did 6 seperate transactions, paid $2.10, got back $6 ECB each. Have to love getting paid $24 to walk in to CVS! I agree with the above posters, though. I am sure most if not all CVS stores will be sold out by the AM. When I did my deal, the cashier was stunned that it was a MM, and ran back and bought the last 6 that were left on the shelf. This is one of those “lightning” deals as I call them – if you can’t get to the store fast as lightning, you most likely won’t get the deal.

  44. Conswalla

I literally live across the street from a CVS so I went over and grabbed the last 12 tins. Thank goodness there were 12 left. I’ve never tried this before so I was a bit nervous. It worked for me! I live in PA.

I also walked around the store and looked for clearance items. I bought my boys 6 Blade body sprays. They love them & they’re just as good as Axe. They’re on clearance for $1.12 each! Great shopping trip!

I forgot my coupons for the Coke soda deal spend $30.00 get back $10.00 in ECB’s. I’ll use the ECB’s I earned today, $36.00, for this deal tomorrow. This truly makes up for the Living Social deal I missed earlier. 🙁

    Thanks so much!

  45. J

Just got back from CVS and got this deal no problems. Got back $36 ebc.

  46. Ad

My cvs said they pulled them off the shelf per district manager, due to the eb being so much more then what you pay. I’m in Boston

    • Ayo

Thankfully that message didn’t reach Somerville! My store was well stocked before and after I maxed out the deal on my card.

  47. Mike B

Just went to my cvs and 2 ladies were there with all the Nivea in their carts.. UUUGGGHH!!! Sometimes you win sometimes u lose.

    • Trinity

Grrr… I hate that. But like you said, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I’ve read that some people have gotten like 36 tins (person mentioned she got 12 for herself, 12 for her brother and 12 for her sister). What the heck?!!! That’s just crazy.

  48. Olga

    Worked in FL

  49. Lindsey

    worked in Orland Park, IL!

  50. Patti

How can you spend only $1.98 and get back $6 in ECB? Won’t it very long before CVS realizes it is losing money?

    • jenn

It might seem like they are loosing money but given the big picture this is pennies to this company….if that. I always think of the number of people in the store when I am there for 20 minutes paying full price on everything they purchase…way more of them then there are of smart shoppers like those of us using Hip!
