      doubt it. their stuff is so flippin expensive so even a few orders make up for it. And noone got anything for free, you had to spend over $25 so everyone spent about a dollar, some even more. They are affiliated with big name companies like the Gap and Old Navy…they aren’t losing any $$

        No one was charged yet, you don’t get charged until the items ship. They pre-authorized the cards so the charges are “pending” and they can easily cancel the orders without ever truly charging is.

          i was “charged” because it didn’t just preauthorize, it removed the money from my checking and it’s not on “hold” as those items always are

              i have been shopping online for 20 years..since the internet came into our homes. I have NEVER had an issue. I use paypal, directly tied to my bank account, I use my debit card, I don’t own credit cards. I shop on every website that is secure and if it’s unknown, I don’t shop there. My husband has been in the IT industry since the industry was started, and I am confident with what is safe and what isn’t

      I’d watch out with that because many of the codes were coming up as already having been redeemed although they were just generated….

          That’s not true. I placed an order for me on March 20. After reading all the posts here, I decided to wait til that order shipped before using my other code. My order was cancelled that Saturday so I called about it and a super nice guy said that the reason listed for cancellation was that the customer cancelled it, which was not true. He happily reordered it for me, using the discount and it shipped. I then placed a second order the last day of the promotion (3/27) under my husband’s name. I received part of that order today; the rest should be coming tomorrow. I think the problem was the initial rush that resulted from blog posts. If the same number of orders had been placed gradually over the the seven-day period of that promotion, it probably wouldn’t have raised any red flags. Plus, by the last day of the promotion, everything was back in stock again.

    Ok everyone I just spoke to Piperlimes customer service and they said as long as your order went through and you were generated a conformation code then your order will go through as promised. They will not be reversing ANY orders. However she did read me a script reguarding this situation and they said they are going to get to the bottom of this whole situation by finding out where this all generated from. I would hate to be in their shoes… But I am happy that I snagged a few pair of Chucks for less than $10!!

    They cancelled my orders and said it was because they were distributed by a third party and so all the orders generated from that third party are going to be cancelled.

    if it helps anyone who did order…I just checked and I did two orders with two different codes and they both have already shipped. I went on immediately after this deal was posted here and bought reef flip flops for $26 so I did pay $1 for each order. So, I guess they can’t cancel it if it’s already shipped, right? They both have FedEx tracking numbers and everything so we’ll see if they arrive!

    Just used my code this morning with the Piperlime Rep on the phone, while I was online. Order the Michael Stars Colorful Season Scarf. Final cost was $3.16. Representative said it should be okay, and the order should go through. Let’s see what happens! Can’t have too many scarves in New England !

    I placed two orders yesterday, one from the promotion posted here and one from someone using my referral link after purchase. This morning I got an email stating both were cancelled. I called customer service about one order and she said it was cancelled because the item was showing up out of stock but when she rechecked it was showing in stock. She said the promotion code was still good and all she needed was to reorder and run my credit card number again.

    I am calling back to do the same for my other order

        They sent me an email saying someone used my referral link. CS said its suppose to be only one $25 referral code per person. I was under the impression it was for as many people who signed up.

        I called CS and they reordered over the phone. She said they could also send another code but it was easier to just do it on the phone.

    My order got cancelled. Has anyone called to see if they will tell you why they cancelled it? If their facebook page says that it was supposed to be one per person I wonder if you can make one order go through. Has anyone tried this? If so, did it work?

      I called about my orders separate, I had two one from this deal and one from using my link after purchase. The referral link purchase I was told showed up out of stock but she checked it and it was in stock so she pushed it threw.

      Other order was told only one $25 per person.

    I ordered pretty early on (I think there were less than 100 comments…I was shocked to see 1000+), March 20, 2013 01:56 PM (EDT) to be precise and I have received shipment notification and FedEx tracking on a pair of $26 Reef flip-flops (they were $1 plus tax). I only placed one order, my order was above $0.00 and I ordered pretty early.

      They (the company) aren’t saying it was a third party. Piperlime posted on their Facebook page that they did indeed do the promotion and that they had a huge response. They also mentioned honoring people’s first orders (I am assuming some individuals abused the system and placed multiple orders).
      I think it was a few misguided customer service reps that mistakenly remarked it was a third party. I think they did a great promotion but not all the customer service reps were aware and becomes overwhelmed by all the phone calls.

          That was more for anyone who had a mis-informed rep. There has a been a lot of complaints that reps are claiming it was a fraudulent 3rd party or app. 🙂

      It’s anybody’s guess but the logical assumption would be yes. If it would have been cancelled then your whole order would have been cancelled.

      I did call customer service, and the representative put the order through for me. She was very nice. So if your order was cancelled, you might try calling CS to see if they can help.
