Operation Backpack: Free School Supplies and Backpacks for Military Children on July 31st
Calling all you HIP Military Families! If you are a member of the service, have school aged kiddos, and serve at a military base on which an IB Express store operates, here’s a great back to school deal for your kids – Operation Backpack! On July 31st, between 6PM and 7:30 PM, IB Express Base Supply Centers will be giving each child (accompanied by parent) a brand new backpack filled with the basics for school (such as crayons and pencils) free of charge. To view the full list of IB Express stores that will be participating in this event, click here.
Also, be sure to check out the details on Operation Homefront that I told you about here for details on how to score more free Back to School supplies!
(Thanks, Freebie Finding Mom!)
Darn, its not available on our base or any of the other bases here in Georgia 🙁
When I try to see the list of participating locations it Says page cannot be found. Is there anything close to miramar or San Diego that anyone knows of that is participating?
Edwards is your closest. It’s Vandenberg, Edwards and Beale for California.

I was at Dollar Tree tonight, and they have a campaign going on for military children for back to school. They are asking customers if they want to purchase an item, in a basket at the counter, for back to school to be donated to military families! Kudos to Dollar Tree! Thank you military families for all your sacrifices!
