Can someone please comment on the quality of this product? I’ve used Scott before (long ago) and remember it being one ply, and having to use tons of it to cover anything. Is this the same stuff or better now. How does this compare to the blue Charmin? Thanks.
Good Morning,
i believe it is a cheap product. If you want the deal then use it in your guest bathroom.
The scott extra soft is nothing like the scott 1000 (1 ply). It is good quality, NOT cheap toilet paper. It is soft and thick. I have not used blue charmin so I cannot comment on comparison. HTH
I agree that the extra soft is good…this is my family favorite tp.
I agree, this is the total opposite of the Scott 1000 roll and it is our favorite too. It is soft, durable and good for septic tank homes.
Wont buy anything but Scott Extra. I like it better than Charmin. Charmin to me is too soft. It tends to smear if you know what I mean.
we couldn’t stand this product, it made us use much more hand soap if you get my drift, won’t buy again.
I do not like the “regular” Scott, but really like Scott Extra Soft.
This is much better than their 1 ply tp. I love the Scott Extra Soft, its the only kind I buy.
The Scott extra soft is considerably thicker than the original Scott. I think it seems thicker than 2-ply toilet paper while still being 1-ply. It says it is still septic safe. The only down side to the extra soft is it seems to leave ‘toilet paper lint’ after using it. Kind of funny but not very pleasant. Hope that helps!
Trying to get the deal on my phone as I’m not @ a computer but can never seem to find the coupon. Can someone help?
You have to view the Full Amazon Site. You can’t clip Qs on the mobile site. I’m not sure what device you have but I have an iPhone. Once I click on Colin’s link I open the page in Safari. Then scroll to the bottom of the mobile page and select ‘Amazon.com Full Site.’ From there you are able to see the Q to clip (if its still available). HTH.
Thank you ladies, you are the best ( and Collin of course)!
The price says $16.47 for me, which may or may not be a good price.
You have to choose “Subscribe & Save” on the right side, then clip the coupon….that brings it to $13.65.
I prefer to buy this from CVS. The 18 double roll packs are on sale for $6.99 and we have $1 coupons to use and it is part of the spend $30 get $10 ecb.
I’m with you on this one. Much rather get the bonus of $10 ECB!!!
This is my favorite TP, I love it!
Thanks, Collin! We were gonna need this soon 😛
There was much discussion on Amazon’s subscribe & save program on Mashup Mom. Rachel and her readers have discovered the price of the FIRST shipment is now adjusted.

WOW Sara – thank you SO MUCH for this info. VERY surprised that more people have not noticed or been alerted to this (apparent) bait-and-switch tactic from Amazon. Truly makes me think differently about Subscribe n Save.
Seems we all need to be extremely vigilant about **the cost** when the product is shipped, which is apparently **NOT** always the advertised price. I understand not being charged until an item is shipped, but for the price to change until the item is actually shipped is just plain WRONG. Amazon Subscribe n Save Buyers Beware!!!
I am not sure how it happened but my total was only $12.00 🙂
I bet you had the remainder of a gift card in your account. I had that happen to me the other day, I had 1.59 or something left on a gift card and was surprised when the total was not what I expected. A happy surprise 🙂
Forgot to clip the coupon. Any way to go back and redeem it?
try canceling and repurchasing with coup have done that before good luck!
