What is the cheapest in the home fragrance stuff? Thanks!
I have seen tiny candles for $4.50. The fall scents smell so good!
Mini candles are sometimes 3 for 10. I might do this and use my 20% off or just get one and use the 20% off.
Off topic but when I burn candles, a well forms and eventually the wick is all gone and I’m left with a lot of lovely smelling wax that obviously can’t be burned again. Is there a way to evenly melt the candle? And how to repurpose the nice wax remainders I have? Tia!
I never have the well problem with Bath and Body Works triple wick candles. The wicks burn themselves out with about a 1/4″ of even level wax left. I usually then put it on one if those plug in warmer bases and let the scent remaining in the wax finish itself. I usually get about 2 more hours of scent. Then I pour the melted wax into something I can throw away and recycle the glass container.
Use a candle warmer! Thats what we do and you still get the great smells even though the wick has burned out… lasts forever
When the wax burns down the middle of the candle in a well around the wick instead of burning evenly to the edges of the glass it’s called ‘tunneling’. A tunnel usually forms for two main reasons: if you don’t burn the candle long enough for the wax to heat up evenly so it melts to the edges you can get a tunnel or the wax itself is not good quality. Bath & Body Works has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on their products so if you get a candle that tunnels you can bring it back to the store and exchange it for a new one! I’ve only had this issue with one of their 3-wick candles and I’ve burned many over the years. The fall fragrances from Bath & Body Works are fantastic!
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I’ve had this happen several times even with the BBw sparking candles so I will get a warmer next time I’m out! It happens with glade ones too. I don’t have any 3 wick ones so I’m not sure how those are but I had one square candle in a Tin that burned so nicely and evenly! I wish they were all like that.
Ps the tunneling happens to me regardless of how long I burn it.. I have bad luck with even burning. I’ve never heard of a candle warmer though so i like that idea a lot.
to Pharmchick, try wrapping the candle into a foil, for a while on the sides , it will keep the temperature in and let the candle burn evenly.
You are all lucky.. No stores near me are participating… Have fun…:)
