I have this mop! I LOVE it. Well worth the price. Ours is still going strong a year later and believe me it gets used!

    • Krissy

Yes I own it and LOVE it!! It works great, just uses water and the pads are reuseable just wash and dry them in your machines. Makes floors squeaky clean, I use this on hardwood and vinyl.

I just purchased mine today, and tried it out as soon as I got home. It works great! A bit heavy on my floor, but that is because mine are old and worn (I can’t wait to get new ones!). I then ran a clean, white dish cloth over the floors, which were very dirty to start off with, and it came up clean. I am a convert! I did sweep the floors first, to get up any big debris.

Does anyone know of a steam mop that has a vacuum feature on it? I am looking for one that does double duty with vacuum and steam. TIA.

    • EG

I have the Shark Vac Then Steam Mop. I really like it. Does both jobs great.

I have a different brand with no features, and I love it. Paid the same as this one…wish I had found this offer a few months ago. Love cleaning with just stream. My floors are spotless. Would love to have the cleaning solution option.

    • diane

Hi Teri. I’m new to this steam cleaning. Do you vacuum your floors just before steaming them? I’d love to have spotless floors. Thanks.

      • Teri

Yes Diane, I do vac or sweep all the floors first. There is a small amount of residue (dust) left over from each steam cleaning session. I use the pad itself to just wipe the floor one sweep over the line of dust with the steam off. That is my ONLY complaint. I love my little cheap-o Shark. This one has tons of features and is well worth this price. I can only clean with water. Which is ideal for me, I have two senior dogs. I am able to clean so fast, and most importantly my floors are spotless. I love cleaning with steam. Hope this helps.

One more thought, I had an old vac and steam cleaner in one…and I hated it. That is why I thought I would not like the steam cleaning, so I purchased the cheapest Shark I could fine just to test it out…I love the steam alone. I can get things cleaner and super easy to use and to store. 🙂

        • Teri

After reading some of the more recent reviews, I can recommend the Shark brand. Not sure about other brands. But I love steam cleaning, gets the floors spotless…and I have two dogs.

What kind of water do you use? If you use tap water and happen to have a water softener that could be the culprit! I’ve been using distilled water and it works great.

I purchased this last year on Black Friday for the same price. It left my hardwoods streaky. I was worried it had ruined my floor so I quickly cleaned again with my regular cleaner and luckily it went away. Then after I cleaned my tile kitchen I was concerned that the pad was hardly dirty. So I also re-cleaned the tile with a swiffer wet mop and lots of dirt came up. Luckily Home Depot let me return it! Still searching for the right steam mop!

Would this work on laminate flooring as well? That is my next major project, new flooring in downstairs-can’t wait!

    • Krissy

Yes! But be cautious to wipe up any water afterwards so it does not sink in the cracks and expands floorboards.

That’s funny– Home Depot’s BF ad has this exact mop for the exact price!

I guess some BF deals aren’t the greatest deals anymore.

I have this steamer now paid almost $100! I like it but not as much as I liked my haan steamer . The haan was much more light weight & shined the floors up better. Unfortunately my Haan broke after about 6 months. The Hoover does the job though and had great reviews too. I also had pain in my wrist because of holding the button while steaming kinda hurts your wrist and fingers after a while. It seems heavier & cleans well. You can’t beat this price though!

Thank you for that reminder. I always forget about that when I shop there.

  12. brianne

Coll in seems to be a bit of a mind reader now! I have been shopping for both a cordless vac um and steam mop for my kitchen (messy 1 yr old!). Just received my Electrolux (adore it!) and am planning on purchasing this too.

I have to mop nightly now, would this product work well for that?

  13. Ger
