I’ve had the worst living social experiences. Most recently a company marked something I purchased as used, but I hadn’t used it. The company refuses to return my calls – it was months of this – LS told me it was too bad, but they couldn’t help. I’ll never buy another deal from them again. I definitely felt like I had no recourse and am now just out the money…..

Why on the Brookstone thing it says redeem by NOV 27 for full value?Do the vouchers lose thier value after certain time period?
Yes, the vouchers lose the promotional value, but not the value you paid. If you don’t use the $50 Brookstone deal by the expiration date, the voucher will be worth only the $25 you paid for it. I would love to get this for my husband, but since I want it as a Christmas gift, I can’t use the deal.

I was recently In a brookstone and they had this super cool sand! its 98% sand and 2% polymer really cool stuff like sand but was 20$ a container… now I can get two for the price of one! it acts like clay in a way. never dries out. holds together not a mess like actual sand but will never dry out like play dough. we live in the east coast sending some to my nieces in the Midwest a little east coast love 😉 please buy through my link and then search sand. any kid or kid like adult is goin to love this stuff 🙂

I too had a bad experience not with living social, as they did help somewwhat in finding contact info etc….with purgoodies.com it was the cell phone charger bank stick thing. They took over 2months to ship. It was broke and didn’t work. After several emails and calls…they blocked my emails and calls and never resolved. Again it was that company and not living social. So beware if it from the purgoodies website.
I had trouble with Purgoodies too. After almost a month I never received the band kit I ordered so I emailed and never heard back. But a week and a half later they finally came in the mail after I’d already bought another kit bc my daughter couldn’t wait any longer.

The Brookstone deal is still available thru Sunday 11/17 (11:59pm PST) using a different promo code, though it’s not *quite* as good – still worth it to me though! Use the Living Social promo code WEEKEND15 for 15% off. That makes it $21.25 for $50 at Brookstone.
The special polymer “sand” that others are talking about really is extremely cool and, along with the little sandbox/tools, makes an awesome gift for Dad (or anyone, really) to put on their desk at work. The sand is $15 each, but 2 for $25. That means using the promotion you could get 4 for $21.25 rather than $60! Not bad since as far as I can tell you can’t get the special (and did I mention SO cool!?) sand anywhere else. I also got a nifty set of molds for large balls of ice for whiskey/scotch (also for my husband’s stocking) and some clearance throw blankets (we LOVE the Brookstone “nap” blankets – they’re so incredibly soft and a great deal when you buy 2!
