WooHoo! Starting 11/19 – when the Planes movie is released (through 11/23 only), ToysRUs will be offering up a FREE $5 TRU Gift Card when you purchase Disney Planes Blu-ray combo pack with the coupon here. The Blu-ray combo pack will also be on sale for just $19.99! Note that at first I assumed this sale was only valid on the Planes Blu-ray. However, when I entered the product number 306702 listed on the coupon below (that goes with the $19.99 sale) on ToysRUs.com, the Blu-ray Combo pack popped up. So I’m assuming that means it will work for the $19.99 sale starting Tuesday. And if so, you’ll be able to score this *HOT* deal:

Disney Planes Blu-ray Combo Pack on sale for $19.99 (starting Tuesday)
Use the $7/1 Disney Planes Blu-ray Combo Pack coupon found here
Plus, use the $5 gift card offer store coupon found here
Pay $12.99
Get back a $5 TRU gift card
Final cost $7.99! What a fantastic price for a movie that will just be released!

(Thanks, Crystal, Penny and Nikki!)

I think there was also a 7.00 off coupon in disney movie rewards. But you have to use points to get it.

    • Alicia H.

You don’t have to use your points…you can get a special code on the Scott Shared Values site to unlock the coupon 🙂

  2. Krissy

I also have a $5 TRU rewards to use too! It will make the it $7.99 out of pocket and only $2.99 after coupon! This is on my sons Christmas list! Makes me so thankful when I can get nice things for a great price!!!

    • Rachel

I have the $5 rewards too I am going to use for this deal! I have been waiting to use it and now I am glad I did!

      • meagan

Guess I should have read commenta before asking… yay gotta love a great deal!

  3. Heather Nicosia (@HeatherNicosia)

Awesome! I wanted to get both movies for my kids stockings. Still have a groupon and got an egift card from ToysRUs. Yay!

    • Heather Nicosia (@HeatherNicosia)

Oh wait.. not the Little Mermaid 2. Should have bought it when they had the $7 off coupon for that too. Bummer! Either way getting Planes!

      • Tarin

They have 2 other promotions running. Buy one Disney movie get one 40% off and. Buy $40 in Disney movies and get a $10 gc. You should be able to double or even triple dip. The gc was in there big book for Christmas.

        • Heather Nicosia (@HeatherNicosia)

Thank you Tarin! That will work out great! 🙂

        • Erin

No double dip – I bought both movies and only got the $10 gc not a $5 too – manager said register would only prompt one

  4. Jessica

Do you know what the price would be for the 3D version?

    • michelle

I heard that TRUS wasn’t selling 3D blu rays any more so you may want to call & ask them to be sure.

  5. Liz

    That movie was awful.

    • Kelly

Then don’t buy it. I thought it was fine and my three year old loved it, so I’ll pick it up.

    • marlene

      i agree lol

    • CW

Yes I agree totally Liz and we are huge Disney fans. It is not a Pixar movie, it is of horrible quality. The public was sort of made to believe it was of Pixar quality and it is far far from it. It was made mostly in a subsidiary studio of Disney probably not even in a Disney US studio (take a good look at the credits, my husband and I were shocked…). My husband has every Disney movie ever made on DVD and we are skipping this one. Really, honestly, it is worth about $1 in the dollar clearance bin. Not a good deal for even $7.99. It is like a third world knock of off Cars. Notice how fast it went on sale. Disney never deeply discounts their recently released movies. That says it all. Just an opinion for those who have not seen it and are going to spend money on it. The reviews were terrible and rightly so.

      • Tammi

        Agree CW!

      • Liz

Thank you! My family and I are huge disney fans as well. We were actually just at the parks yesterday. This movie was such a fail. I don’t remember the last time I’ve watched a bad disney movie other than this one.

      • Stephanie

I’ve never seen the movie but appreciate the review. I think I’ll be skipping this DVD. I’m sure there will be other good deals on better movies coming up for Black Friday.

    • Nicole

I thought so too. It was the plots of Cars & Cars 2 all set in the air. Boring.

    • Katie

Agree completely. We saw it in theaters, it was lame. Zero creativity, just a knockoff of cars.

  6. Priscilla

Thank you! My little guy really wants this movie! Such a good price!

  7. Chandra

Anyone know if you can still get the $5.00 GC if you did a pre-sale for $1 to reserve it? I haven’t paid for it yet only reserved it when I bought Monsters University. Thanks in advance. 🙂

  8. Chandra

Anyone know if you can still get the $5.00 GC if you did a pre-sale for the movie? I haven’t paid for it yet just reserved a copy for $1.00 when I bought Monsters University. Thanks in advance. 🙂

  9. pinky

How was this planes movie by the way? We loved cars but cars too was a disappointment. Any advice?

    • pinky

Oops meant cars 2! I need caffeine 🙂

      • barbara

Viewing Movie in 3D at the theater was not up to par wish I would have seen in 2 D. However, the story was good. I am buying the movie DVD because the story is about being honest, perseverance, having dreams and being a good friend. It is worth $12.99 especially with the additional $5. Recommend for the DVD purchase. Avoid the 3D version. I have never watched a 3 D movie on a TV but I am assuming that the theater version in 3D quality is probably better and I was not impressed with it. Hope that helps.

    • Tammi

My kids usually love any Disney movie, but they were so bored when we took them to the theater for this one since it was so much like the Cars movie. At this price it’s an ok buy in my opinion, but I wouldn’t pay much more for it.

      • pinky

Thank you so much Barbara and Tammi 🙂

  10. Caitlin

The planes coupon says it cannot be combined with any other offer?

    • alexbabot

      I noticed that too!

    • Heather

Yep, so I dunno if it will go through with all cashiers :/

  11. Pam

When I go to ToysRus it seems they only allow one coupon per order. Anyone experience this?

  12. Heather

Planes was cute and worth buying at this price. Not sure if I would buy it at regular price though.
**Also if you are a rewards member don’t buy it on Tues. Wait until We’d when they offer double rewards points!**

  13. Charity

If you go in today and reserve a copy you reserve $10 off any other disney movie priced $19.99 and up

  14. Heather

Does anyone know whether or not I can do this deal at Babies R Us?

  15. Meghan

Does anyone know if this would work online?

    • Meghan

Never mind…I read the it closer!

  16. Shannon

I have the $5 reward too! Awesome deal!!

  17. sara

Lol I love the critiques of the movie like it was supposed to be oscar-worthy. My 4 yo and 2 yo were entertained so it’s well worth $8 to me 😉

    • Kristi

No kidding! My 3 and 5 year olds both loved it! I agree it was very similar to Cars, but I think that’s what appealed to my kids, since they love that movie so much!

  18. Emily

Also, add it to your wishlist. Make sure you bring a printed copy of the wishlist and scan it along with your rewards card. ToysRUs is very tricky with combining promos. I tried price-matching an item and using the buy $50 get a $10 gift card coupons, and they wouldn’t let me. I was going to spend more than $100 if they had let me, but now I prefer to get the deals at target since I know the deals work.

  19. meagan

Idk if im only one but I got my t r u reward points the other day… came to $5 but can I use with both those coupons? Its an e-certificate

  20. Shayla

Last time I tried to get a Blu ray/DVD combo pack at TRU they never got any in and my coupon/gift card I bought specifically for this movie went to waste; had to go to Target to price match (think it was Super Buddies). Skeptical to say the least at TRU lately, might stick with my Meijer plan instead (coupon plus Mperks).

  21. R

No one’s seen a coupon, specifically for the Ariel Double Feature, have they?

    • Linda K

I think the coupon above is good for either DVD/Bluray combo, since it does show Ariel.

  22. Shelley

Can you pre-order Disney planes today and get the $10 off any Disney Movie of $19.99 or higher, purchase the Little Mermaid using the $10 from the Planes pre-order and get the $5 gift card for Little Mermaid and then use the $7 Manufacturer and $5 Gift Card for Planes? I have never used pre-order so I wasn’t sure if you could combine these coupons with the pre-order coupon. Thanks!

  23. Linda K

Now I wish I hadn’t pre-ordered it at the Disney Store for $21. :/ But, I did get a $10 free coupon (or $20 off a $40 purchase) & 6 small posters with the purchase, so I guess it was still a decent deal. And my 3 kids, ages 4, 6, & 9, loved this movie! They’re big Cars fans, so they were excited to see this movie too. It’s cute & age-appropriate.

  24. Julie Johnson

Toys r us says they didn’t even get enough of the DVDs to cover all the preorders, so you won’t be able to get it in their store tomorrow. I’d call your local trus before going there.

  25. melissa

I’d love to know if the combo pack with the digital copy does come up $19.99 and if the $5 GC works for it since it’s not pictured. Shows $29.99 online right now. We aren’t close to a TRU, but I can have my dh stop on his way back from work. Crossing my fingers!

  26. Jennifer

Small print on the coupon says “this coupon cannot be combine with any other offer…” can it still be used in this deal????

  27. andrea

If anyone bought 3 Disney DVD’s please report back how the deal worked for you. I’m curious if this will double or triple up ($10 & 5 giftcard + 40% off…). I can’t find the details on the $40 get a $10 giftcard anywhere, does anyone know where to find info on that? It’s not in my ad 🙁

    • Kara

I went yesterday and got planes combo, and two jake and the Neverland pirates movies. There were only a few movies that were buy one get 40% off and I didn’t like any of them. I used $6 dollar coupon with the jake movies, $7 coupon for the planes and used 15% off regular price item coupon, and got back $5 and $10 gift cards. No problems with coupons. You do have to give them the coupon for the $5 gift card, the register won’t give it to you without the coupon.

  28. Nicole

I just tried this deal. The combo pack is priced at $29.99-in store and online. Also, the manager said they can’t combine the offers because of the fine print on the $7 coupon. Darn!

    • Rei

Did he say the ad price was an error?

    • Sarah B.

Thanks so much for reporting back..figured it was too good to be true. Won’t be rushing out then!

    • Chrissy

I bought it this morning and it rang up $19.99 and I was able to use $7 coupon and got gift card

    • Angela

I did it and it worked with both coupons. Total out of pocket was just over $14 with tax and I got the $5 gift card.

  29. Sarah B.

I’m going to go to Target – $22.99 minus 10% off cartwheel discount – $7 coupon should be around $13 or so? and then the 5% off redcard discount..definitely not terrible!

  30. Jacque

It worked for me in the store this morning! Thanks Colin!

  31. Amy

I arrived at the store as they were unpacking the boxes today. I picked up the Blu Ray combo pack and it was indeed priced $19.99. Both the $7 coupon and the $5 gift card back worked with absolutely no problems! Thank you!

  32. Lindsey

    (apologies for the long post)

I posted this on another thread involving this deal – but I was able to get 2 copies of Planes (in 2 transactions) using two $7 manufacturer coupons and two “Free $5 giftcard when you buy…” coupons.

–I changed the wording a bit from my other post – the “free $5 coupon when you buy…” adjusts the price from 29.99 to 19.99)

I originally tried buying both combo packs in 1 transaction, but the second Free $5 coupon beeped(and the cashier told me I couldn’t use duplicate coupons).
I think the 40% and possible the $10 giftcard would work if you bought 3 different movies. Planes, Mulan I/II and Monster’s U or something – but I didn’t try it since all I needed was 2 Planes combo packs.

    here’s what I did:
    Transaction #1
    29.99 Planes Blu-ray combo pack
-coupon for Free $5 ToysRUs giftcard when you buy Planes or The Little Mermaid combo pack (coupon adjusted price to $19.99)
    -$7 off manufacturer coupon
Total: $12.99 OOP and $5 giftcard

    Transaction #2
    29.99 Planes Blu-ray combo pack
    – coupon for Free $5 ToysRUs giftcard when you buy Planes or The Little Mermaid combo pack (coupon adjusted price from to $19.99)
    -$7 off manufacturer coupon
    -$5 Toys R Us giftcard (from 1st transaction-was active immediately-surprised the cashier)

Total: $7.99 OOP and $5 giftcard

So…$20.98 OOP and still have a $5 giftcard for ToysRUs.

Thanks Hip2Save for all you do!!!

  33. stacy

Anyone actually able to do this deal at TRU?

    • stacy

Oops, I hadn’t reloaded to see Lindsey post.

  34. Amy

I bought two this morning in the same transaction… paid $29.08 OOP and received $20 back in promotional gift cards. The cashier said there was a $10 gift card promo in addition to my coupon for the $5 gift card. I questioned her, but didn’t push it 🙂

    • Kris

I was wondering if this would work since it was 2 cents under the $40 (spend $40 get a $10 gift card). Do you know if it prompted her to do that or if she just did it? Im hoping to get all 3 little mermaid movies and planes nice and cheap.

  35. Laura

Does anyone have a copy of the coupon unless you have a pc to install the coupon on can not print yuck yuck., Im all about downloadable coupons from the phone.

  36. Sarah B.

Guess I should have done it at TRU then..haha oh well! I went there anyways and used my groupon and rewards and got a killer deal on the lego advent calendar plus got a free lego christmas tree so I’m happy 🙂 🙂

  37. Jessica

Worked just fine for me. I paid $14.39 OOP.

  38. Julie

I went out and got it at lunch. Thanks for posting the deal. Both coupons went through fine.

    (TRU – 9555 N Milwaukee Ave Niles, IL 60714 )

  39. holly

Sold out in Boise, ID. They said there was a line for them this morning. I hate it when all the other couponers know about these awesome deals 🙂

  40. Babs

I bought 2 copies of the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo. Shelf price said $29.99. I was ready and checked out at the video game section. I shared coupons with the manager who checked me out in the video game section since he was going to buy this for his 3 year old boy. I had 2 of the $7.00 man coupons, 1 of the $5.00 gift card wyb Planes TRU coupon, 1 $3.00 birthday coupon from TRU and 1 $5.00 off $25.00 TRU coupon from a postcard I received in the mail.

    Planes $16.51
    Sale $19.99 $29.99-$10.00
    $5.00 off $25.00 $19.99-$2.50
    $3.00 off $3.00 $17.49-$1.50
    $10 giftcard promo
    $5 giftcard promo
    Refund Price $6.51

    Planes $17.49
    Sale $19.99 $29.99-$10.00
    $5.00 off $25.00 $19.99-$2.50
    $3.00 off $3.00 $17.49-$0.00
    $10 giftcard promo
    $5 giftcard promo
    Refund Price $7.49

    Giftcard Promo $20.00

    $10 giftcard promo $10.00-
    $5 giftcard promo $5.00-
    $5 giftcard promo $5.00-

    Vendor coupon $7.00-
    Vendor coupon $7.00-

    Subtotal $20.00
    Tax $1.78
    Total $21.78

    I walked out with a $20.00 giftcard so $1.78 for 2 Blu-ray/DVDs.

  41. Matt

Are u sure you have it right?? Buy Planes with $7 off coupon, then with the coupon you’ll receive a $5 GC back. Not use the coupon to take off $5, and you get a $5 GC back. Check the math.

    • Babs

Mat, I had a $5 off $25 coupon along with the coupon for receive a $5 gift card when you buy Planes movie. I also had a $3 birthday coupon from TRU. So for 2 movies, I had 2 $7 manu coupons, 1 $5 off $25 coupon, 1 $3 off coupon and 1 receive a $5 gift card with purchase of Planes. I got a $20 gift card that broke down like this: get $10 gift card for purchasing $40 in Disney movies, and 2 $5 gift card for buying 2 movies.

  42. Paula

I was able to do this deal at Babies r Us, for those asking, and it worked on the $14.99 DVD version of Planes. 14.99 – 7 coupon- paid 9.04 including tax and got the $5 gift card.

  43. Susan

I was able to use the same deal as Paula. I purchased the regular DVD ($19.99), used the TRU coupon for $5 off, then the $7 vendor coupon. I also had a $5 gift card promo. Final cost was $4, and I received the $5 promotional card on top of that.

  44. Chris

I arrived at 10:05 to my closest TRU and they had sold out already of the Planes Blu-Ray Combo Pack (they had 2-3 for their store). What a rip off.

  45. Matt

OK….The “TRU” coupon is not a $5 off coupon… you only get a $5 GC back with the purchase. It reads as if you use the coupon for 2 discounts. This a manipulating posting. Your out of pocket still remains $12.99. You get a $5 GC to go pick up something at no cost, but you still have a net cost of $12.99, not $7.99. period!!!

  46. Stephanie

I was able to use both coupons at TRU this morning for the DVD which was on sale for $14.99. I spent $9.30 OOP and received a $5 gift card = net $4.30 for the DVD.

    • mel

It let you use the $7 off blu-ray combo on the DVD?

  47. Ms. Sanders

Hi, thanks so much I was able to score this dvd for $2.70. I did the price match at Target on the regular dvd which made it $14.99 then used the 10% cartwheel discount that was an additional $1.50 off ($13.49) and then used the $7.00 off mfr cpn taking me down to $6.49 the tax took me up to $7.70 total. I then used the $5.00 egift card from the specially marked Eggo boxes which left me with a OOP cost of $2.70.

    • mel

Target let you use the $7 off blu-ray coupon on the DVD?

  48. Susan

I just found a $5.00 mail in rebate too…. you just have to buy 2 bags of bolt house 1 lb carrots also (which cost only around $.97 each.)
