AWESOME! Just got one! Now my girls don’t have to fight over the leappad1 we got last year. : ) Anyone know if the apps can be loaded onto both or do I have to re-buy them for the new one?
I’ve never tried, but I *think* you can load the apps onto 2 leappads.
You do not have to re-buy them. I used the purchased apps on both of my kids’ Leappads. There is a way to add and remove apps to the Leappads once connected 🙂

Exactly! We never buy the cartridges because there is so much space on the Leappad we have. The LP2s have even more space! Plus you can get the app cards on sale often, I’ve even gotten buy one get one free deals! They are the best way to go and definitely help stretch the dollar! H2S rules!!

I stayed out super late last night finding a walmart that still had a pink one…but thinking about it now, a green one with a purple or pink gel skin would have been just as good. The gel skins are $4.99 on amazon or they were last night.
Just got the Green Leap Pad with a Pink skin, less than $50 shipped to my house, and I don’t have to run around! My 4 year old is now finished for Christmas…until I find some other great deals!
Just a heads up: I went to BestBuy.com and they will price match. The lady was so funny on the phone. She couldn’t believe the price. They are selling for $99.99 on their website. She said when we hung up she was going to get one for her daughter. It was a very easy process and I will be able to pick up my Leappad today in my local store.

They may not fully understand the objectives of the games but will grow into it. Plus you can get movie apps they can watch.
I think a 2 year old is a little young but they will grow into it.
My daughter just turned 2 and LOVES her big brother and sisters VTech tablets. I didn’t plan to get one for her at such a young age but decided to go for it.

Got one! I had one in my cart at Walmart but they will not sell/ship to Wisconsin?! Lucky Amazon came through for me. How do I figure out which games are the right ones? There seems to be different products.

Also please advise, do I need the rechargable power pack thingys too? I am a “step:” grandma and not too up on toys anymore.
It takes batteries, so I would buy a set of (4) rechargeable batteries with a charger at Walmart. Purchased ours for only $9.97!
Leapfrog does not recommend rechargeables for their products. And from my experience, rechargeables don’t last long! You have to get Leapfrog’s batter pack, which is another $40.
I use rechargeable batteries in mine. They last about a week where as the regular ones only lasted 3 days. (or longer if the leappad isn’t getting used as often)

I definiatly reccomend the recharge pack made for this product. I change my sons once a week and him or his sister are constantly on it. Its 27$ i believe on amazon. But i ended up getting this the gel case and the carry case and the recharge pack for like 80$. so i was happy.
Target has it for the same price, but you can save an additional 5% if you have a Target card. Note, you have to add it to your cart to see this price. Hurry, don’t know how long it will last.

Rechargeable batteries, Gel skin & carrying case.. in my opinion. Also, you don’t have to have a specific carrying case. I purchased the cute purse one but my daughter didn’t even use it. She liked toting it around in her padded princess lunchbox (LOL)!! The ones where the sandwich zipper is at the bottom (she held her games/extra batteries there) and put the leappad in the top. She’s a clever one!

I called the 1800 # and placed my order over the phone without any problem. They were out of stock online as well. She matched it because the price was still listed on their website as $39.99. Did you call or go to the store? I’m assuming it would be harder to do in store.
