I have attached a picture of the items a friend of mine and I donated to our angel tree kids. Pretty much everything that we have in this picture represents a deal we scored because YOU posted it! Remember the Target free watch with the mobile coupon, the awesome $29 bike from Walmart.com on Black Friday, the free Brita bottle, the Circo 40% off Cartwheel for kids clothes, the Target toy clearance in July for 70% off, the Circo baby Cartwheel for 30% off etc, etc?! We got it all thanks to your posts! And now, they are making two little girls happy. Even the Dollar Tree video was helpful, since that’s where we got the wrapping paper, strawberry shortcake shower gel and some other items.
This just summarizes a year of us chasing the good deals you posted and stretching our dollars to be able to afford to buy lots of useful and cute stuff for our angels.

I am sooo grateful for your site as I have saved sooooo much $$. You helped me give my 3 yr old an amazing Xmas because of the deals I scored! I recently lost my job of 14 years in May….And have since been struggling to make my monthly bills.. Remember the next time you grab a good deal to get something extra(if you can afford it) for a child who would otherwise go without. What a great thing you have done for these girls. If you live near St. Louis are looking for a well deserving charity to donate too, look into Angels Arms. They help place children with foster families and your giift donations during the holidays go under the tree for these foster children!
I failed to say that I was ALSO able to get something very special for a 4 yeard old girl off of the Angel tree at Wal-Mart 🙂

Congratulations Ladies!! You did an amazing thing and they’re going to be thrilled! I do the same thing, I score all the deals all year long and then pick the kids that want the items that I was able to score! Anything extra goes into a big toys for tots bin at a local shop. Last year I got two razor scooters super cheap thanks to a deal that Collin posted and when I took them to the Toys for Tots drive, the local business collecting them was impressed by the car load of “expensive” gifts that I could donate. I just told them that coupons and sales go a long way! You did a great thing, I hope the good feelings that you have right now keep you warm all winter! Those kids will never forget this Christmas!

I love my fellow Hip followers! We were able to pick an 13 month old boy off the Angel tree this year. I love shopping for children that would otherwise have little to nothing for Christmas. This makes my heart so happy!!! I was able to do the same thing this year thanks to this blog. My family and I bought for 11 angels this year and only spent about $300 total on really great gifts.
Awesome job on the angel tree gifts!!! I LOVE it! I went to Toys R Us and with the deals, I was able to get $96.00 worth on Legos for $21.05 with tax. An acquaintance of mine, has a 10 yr old boy I have never meet. I have heard through the grapevine he likes Legos. I heard something had happened and the Dad’s car had been repo-ed. Now they were homeless and leaving in a junky hotel. I drove to 30 miles to town and bought that boy some Legos! I gave them to a friend of a friend to give to the Dad. I got a phone call a while ago, I guess that Dad cried when given the toys. Merry Christmas! I couldn’t afford it with being a stay at home with 3 children if I didn’t have Hip2save!

I love hearing that. There are so many who go without all year, and especially this time of year. I live in a pretty rural area and there were over 700 kids on our local tree. I can’t imagine what it must be like in more populated areas.

That is awesome! I was able to score some great deals for the Angel Tree in my town as well. A couple years ago I never would’ve been able to afford or get as much for the kids as I did with Hip2Save!!

For all those using the Victoria Secret Secret Reward card numbers here, it is possible for two people to enter it at checkout but only one will get use of it and the other will be charged the $10. Best not to post actual numbers here, best to do it through email.

Awesome. What a blessing you and your friend are. My friend and myself also adopted to families this year. We wanted to teach our kids that its about giving not receiving and we have been using your site too to score amazing deals. $5 coupon here, 50% off there, It all adds up and before you know it, you have an amazing stash of great gifts/items to give to help and lift peoples spirits this time of year. I truly don’t wish to start anything here by any means but just wanted to say that those of you who seem to do the “high and mighty” on the post last night if 15 was too many gifts and I saw alot of comments stating that they do not buy their kids much if anything and the holiday is only about family and what not (which is fine if that’s what works for your family) then went on to say how others spoiled their kids and are doing the holiday all wrong because they give their kids alot more. Than to say how great it is that these kids are getting an amazing Christmas (which I TRULY think is a wonderful blessing they did) and praising others who buy from the angel trees. Seems like a total double standard?!?!
It just hurts me that people are so quick to judge and think they know what is best for your family or your kids. When truly you may have no clue!
Thank GOD there are people blessed with the heart and the means to be able to provide for others that may go without. But try not to judge each other, just love each other.

I used to teach at a Title I school (a lot of the kids are on free or reduced lunch). Recently the local Walmart had shorts that were originally $12.94 marked down to $.25!! I had never seen ladies’ shorts go down that low and they were all really nice printed denim ones. I bought a couple dollars worth in a variety of sizes (the school goes up to 6th grade) and took them to the nurse. Told her to put them in her closet for spring. Well it turned out that there was a teacher who had a child who could wear a couple of the pairs, and I said to the nurse, I’ve donated these you give them out as you see fit. She was very appreciative and told me that next time to give her a call, she’ll get some too. Paying it forward always feels good. I love reading Hip2Save because I have found great deals on a variety of different items (including items to donate to local animal rescues). Merry Christmas!!

Beautiful stories and an amazing job. I know a grandmother who cares for her grandson he was in my sons class last year and getting to know her I know times are tough. I dropped off a black bag of toys for her son pre wrapped with a note when I knew she was working and he was in school. She was crying when she called to tell me I think she has an idea but I like not saying. Pay it forward is a blessing to all.
That’s awesome! Great job! It’s so fulfilling to donate. My daughter is a part of the ribbon club at school. They have bake sales and collect donations for those that have cancer. Last week she purchases seven books to donate to our local pediatric cancer hospital. They were so happy! Seeing the joy in a persons face is payment enough. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks to your posts I too was able to donate to the angel gifts this year, get a gift for the class gift exchange and to a family that I knew who were struggling financially this year due to her husband losing his job. So keep posting your are making a difference!
