Lucky you. I haven’t gotten any of the % discounts in months. I have tried to contact them to ask about it and always get the same answer..sorry but the % off discounts are sent randomly and you can get coupons from the coupon center in store.
When I accidentally washed a few bucks over the summer I emailed CS. The reply was they can no longer reissue ecb’s. I called CS and requested to speak to a supervisor who apologized and stated again they can’t reset them any more. But as a one time courtesy, she send me a complimentary ECB in the amount I washed. All you can do is call and ask. Good luck!

Did you by chance try logging into your ExtraCare at CVS.com? It shows me used ECB’s I have and gives me the option to reprint.

I have stopped shopping at CVS because of their coupon policy. I had a 20% off coupon and bought nearly $36 worth of items. Because I paid with $25 in ECB, they would only take 20% off of anything OVER the $25. For some reason, all I got was a measly 13 cents discount, instead of the $6+ I was expecting! I spoke with the manager who said that’s the way they do it. Very unfair. I am now shopping at Walgreens, until this policy is changed. Do any of your CVS stores have this same policy?
Without knowing what you bought, I’m not sure why the % only took off .13 cents.
The way the % off is calculated, is after any CVS store coupons have been applied. If you used a Beauty Buck, Pharmacy Reward Buck, any force printed buck, that is a true CVS coupon and the % will deduct after those Bucks have been applied. Even some of the coupons that print at the MCM may scan as a CVS coupon and will affect the % off discount. The % off also does not apply to any sale priced items. I have also learned there is also a difference between an emailed % off and a special % off you receive in the mail. A homemailer % off will calculate differently, and will show on your receipt as XDD. In order for it to apply to your non sale items, you have to have the cashier scan your items first, then give them your extra care card.
none of the items I bought was on sale that week – I checked – and the Bucks I used was one I got for buying the Paypal prepaid mastercard. I should have received about $6 or a bit more off by using the 20% off coupon since my purchase totaled over $35. And I would have paid cash to ensure that IF they had told me upfront I would only save 13 cents if I used my $25 ECB. I was in a hurry and the line behind me was long so I did not have the cashier return the purchase and re-ring everything, but I was not happy. If they don’t want me to use a 20% coupon and get its full value on your purchase, stop sending it to me! It’s just annoying to have this happen, enough so that, as I said, I will go across the street to Walgreen’s to shop!
That $25 ECB, was it a force print? b/c I thought it was $50 for buying the PayPal MC? If so, that is what caused your % off to take off so little. Like I stated above, the register recalculates your % discount after all CVS coupons have been taken off, and a force print is considered a true cvs coupon.
Sorry your deal did not work like you wanted. Just like Walgreens, CVS has some rules, that once you know them, makes playing at their stores easier.
I bought the Conair Secret Curler for $99.99 on Thursday and had a 25% off qpon that was emailed to me and I had it added to my card. It took off $25. I also used ecb’s that brought it down to $4.78. I got back $10 and will get 2 $5 beauty bucks. I am not sure why your percent off didn’t work on your total but it did for me. Sorry.
Without knowing what you bought it is hard to say but my guess is you bought items that were on sale or on a promotion that excluded the coupon. I’ve never heard of the change in the policy they are talking about. Anything in the weekly ad that is on sale would be excluded. I have never had anything but positive experiences with CVS. I actually prefer CVS over Walgreens. CVS will let you use numerous EBucks towards a purchase where with Walgreens you have to have the same number item to coupon ratio. Usually I’m always needing to pickup some kind of filler item. My suggestion would be to call customer service or even go back to the store and discuss it with a manager.
I agree….I’ll take CVS over Walgreen’s any day. I can’t stand having to buy fillers all the time so I can use my rewards. CVS has much better in store coupons as well. I have been shopping at both stores for many years, and Walgreen’s never sends me % off coupons, but I get them every couple weeks from CVS.
nope, actually none of the items I bought was on sale! I have always preferred cvs also, but this just hit me as wrong and one thing I can do is shop elsewhere. I am sure they (CVS) probably won’t notice, but I will.
Really sorry you had that experience. If it was me I would either call cust. service or go back to the store to go over your receipt with a manager. The system or register calculates the percentage coming off. It isn’t like an employee is going to change it somehow. My purchase a few weeks ago was simple but I bought 2 international delight coffee creamers that were regular price of $2.49 and used 2-.55 manuf. coupons plus the 25% off coupon I was mailed for that week and everything deducted right. Ultimately, it is up to you if you choose not to talk to anyone about it, but I would. Good luck!

@ Mary Re % off. I did not realize that if you use say 20% off coupon on a purchase at kohls and are also using kohl’s cash, the discount is applied to the amount after your kohl’s cash is deducted .
Hi Pauline! Yes, that is why I don’t value kohl’s cash like real cash because you can’t use coupons with it which really affects the total % off that you get. I’m a cardholder, so instead of getting the 30% or 20% off, the kohls cash will be applied first then discounts.

When mine were sent courtesy, I was told the ecb would be available for printing at the coupon center 48 hrs after the reset.
I was told the same 48 hours, that was 5 weeks ago.
I’d call CS back then. Mine printed when I scanned my card at the kiosk a few days after they resent it.
Axe Deordant. There is a $2 off 1 and $3/2 coupons on redplum.com. I also got a CVS redbox coupon for $2 off any (2) Dove Men+care, Degree or Axe Deordant. Using 2 of the $2 off coupons and redbox makes the Axe only $1.50 each!

I tried to buy the Gillette Venus single razor ($6.49 at my store) and was told I couldn’t use the $3.00 off qpon because management got an email that it’s considered trial/travel size, which of course is excluded. Anyone else have that same issue?
I highly doubt they got an email as P&G posted on their FB wall over the summer that they do not consider the single packaged razor “trial or travel size”. I’d try another store.
I had this issue at Meijer too. I loaded a $5/1 Venus razor (exc trial/travel size or disposables) and it would not automatically apply to the Venus Embrace 1-ct. thankfully, my Meijer pushed through from me after a long wait at CS but I too was wondering if that is considered a trial/travel, even though it is not in their travel/trial section of the store =(

I have bought the venus razor 6.29 at my cvs the blue one using cpns and my bucks printed. Now, and before a few weeks and it produces the bucks, my cvs is great have never had a issue
I recently found some ECB’s that I had misplaced but I noticed some have expired, one was a $5 Pharmacy Rewards and another was a$3 Extra Bucks for some food items I had purchased. Is it possible to have these reissued or am I out of luck?
Call 1-800-SHOP-CVS and explain it to them and they should re-issue them to you.
