It is so much simple than Ibotta but the only complaint I have that you have to earn $20 before you can cash any money.

    • Stella

I save up all my cash back money (Ibotta, Checkout 51, Swagbucks, Savingstar, etc) and cash them all out on November 1st each year and use that money for Christmas. Last year, I was able to buy my daughter a brand-new Kindle Fire and Otter Box with the money I had earned!

      • mel

I save all mine up too, except I split it into Dec – May / June – Nov. The first half is towards vacation and the 2nd half towards Christmas. Its a nice little bonus, so the $20 minimum doesn’t bother me.

      • shannon

I have never done Swagbucks. How does it work?

    • shannon

that was about my only complaint too.,

  2. toni

I earned 9 dollars last week.

    • Kristy

I did too . It won’t take long to reach $20.

Collin- couldn’t we pair the Glade Starter Kit with the CVS deal this week to make it a small MM?

  3. Lauren

I earned $8 last week and I was able to double dip with Ibotta on the milk. I agree that it is more simple to use than Ibotta.

  4. Camille

Definitely loving Checkout 51. So simple. I have $10 already. I had 1 issue with 1 receipt but they were great about fixing it.

  5. Lori Schofield

I concur with the others. I love Checkout51 and it is sooo much easier than Ibotta. Love the customer service too. Had an issue with a receipt on Ibotta and received a letter threatening to close my Ibotta account if I had the same issue twice. Not good customer service in my opinion.

    • CW

Agreed!!! So much better than Ibotta! I made $6 last week. I love that they send you a check and you don’t need a pay pal acct

  6. Lauren

Does anyone know if Checkout 51 has a referral program? Can’t seem to find the answer on the website or a link I could use.

    • Malyssa

As of right now, no. They’re looking into creating a referral program though.

  7. Theresa

I started with ibotta but became overwhelmed. Checkout51 is simple. I don’t have to worry about buying at a particuar store. I shop the sales.Love easy.

  8. Kristina

I didn’t know about this one. Thanks for posting! 🙂

  9. Kayla

I signed up last week and love it, thanks for the post last week Collin!! I used a Big Lots receipt for a few items, love that you can submit from any store! I made 7 dollars last week and expect the 1 dollar bonus to post tomorrow for a total of 8!!!!!!

  10. Stacey

I like this app too! I got $3 last week! I shop at Acme and Ibotta doesnt work there, so I never get any money from that app!

  11. Geena O Joseph

1000 times better than Ibotta…and I love that it accepts any store’s receipts…now I can save more on Aldi purchases..thanks Collin!

  12. amy

If you have a few items on a list can you use one receipt for all of them or do you have to have one receipt per item.

    • mel

yes, you can use 1 receipt if you have several purchases. You just tick off the offers after scanning your receipt that you want to submit for.

  13. crystal

I love checkout51. It is so easy to use and I love that I can buy my items at any store. I don’t have a smartphone so I couldn’t use ibotta.

  14. melgie

    I love checkout51! Thanks, Collin:)

  15. Malyssa

My account is up to $10. 🙂 I used a lot of the offers last week, but I don’t think I’ll be using as many this week. It looks like I still have all of the offers from last week that I didn’t use, plus the $1/2 Halls again, & some new offers thrown in. Hopefully the offers I haven’t used will go away after a few weeks. I’ve had the Special K cereal and protein & BelVita offers for 3 weeks. And the RoC & Aveeno for 2 weeks. I haven’t used any of those 5 offers & doubt I will. And the Halls offer was $.50/1 the 1st week, $1/2 the 2nd week, & still $1/2 this week. I bought it the first 2 weeks…not sure if I’m buying it a 3rd time or not, even though I can get them free at Dollar Tree. I already have 4 bags of cough drops! Lol

  16. SJ

I like that you can purchase anywhere, but the one place I shop they do not specifically itemize on the receipt (just says dairy, frozen, etc.) and so 3 of my purchases were rejected. I would not have bought the items had I known.

  17. jamie

My only complaint is that I scanned 4 receipts last week. One was for the Special K protein bars. You had to buy two, I bought 4 and they said they couldn’t find them on my receipt. So I missed out on that $. I did respond asking if I could resubmit the receipt with the items circled on it. I got no response. However, the other 3 receipts worked out well and I got $5.

    • Malyssa

I don’t know what your receipt looked like, but I had a receipt that was rejected for White Rain shampoo or conditioner. My receipt said, “WR Citrus Sham” and their system didn’t pick it up. I sent an email with my receipt ID # attached, told them the offer, where it was on the receipt, & what it said on the receipt. I got a response back in less than 24 hours & my offer was approved. 🙂

    • R

I just circled it in red to be safe. Though my receipts took two days they both went through.

  18. DM

Am I the only one that it doesn’t work for? I tried uploading, keeps spinning, nothing happens.

    • Malyssa

I’ve had this happen. I just let it spin for a minute or so, then hit the back button. Go back into the app on the offers page & it shows offers I’ve claimed. Also, under your profile, it should tell you if you have any receipts pending. So far, it has always uploaded, it just didn’t refresh the page & tell me that it did..

    • Ashley

I don’t have a smart phone and had to upload the receipts from my computer. I had problems getting them to load with Firefox, but when I switched to Internet Explorer it worked much better. So maybe try a different browser if you’re able to?

      • lenmar01

Ashley, how do I upload pictures of my receipts to the computer? I don’t have any I phones etc. Any help would be appreciated.

        • AG

          Digital camera

        • 78Brownie

I would say digital camera (like mentioned) and/ or a scanner

  19. Allyson

Thanks! I like to shop at my local grocery store and can’t use Ibotta there. I had not heard of this before, very exciting!

  20. Jessica

I am loving this app, thanks so much for sharing!! I joined last week when you posted this and already have $4 in my account. I’ll def be buying the eggs this week. I appreciate all you do Colin! Thanks for helping us save $$.

  21. karen

I earned $7 last week and love that i can use it at stores Ibotta won’t accept, like weis and price chopper. So much easier than ibotta too.

    • Happymama

      I may try Aldi today!

  22. nicole

Went shopping last night and didn’t upload my receipt last night, oh well maybe next time. I probably will forget to upload it when I do midweek shopping trips.

  23. Happymama

What I like best is that I know the offers end on a certain day. No forgetting, any no buying an item and realizing the offer is gone. I still like Ibotta though. Love them both, thanks Colin!

  24. steve

Can you use coupons on the purchases. (example glade starter kit on sale for $5.99 and I used $2/1 glade starter kit making my purchase total of $3.99, then submit receipt for $3 to checkout51 making my total price just 99C?) and also can I only submit for one or can I buy multiple items for $3 credits each? Thanks

    • Theresa

Yes, receipts start like the sales on wed and end at midnight the following wed.

    • SueB

I believe you can use coupons and still get credit but you will get credit for only one of a specific item. You can get credit for several different items on the same receipt if you check them off before submitting.

  25. steve

1 more questions, how old can the receipts be?

    • melissa

You can only use receipts dated Thursday through Wed of the current weeks offer. So if you bought glade yesterday you cannot submit your receipt. HTH!

  26. Theresa

This is my 2nd week I noticed some items I didn’t use last week rolled over into this week. Is that normally what happens? Just wondering loving the was of use and that I can use Any store.

  27. Joyce

Is the milk offer still there for people that didn’t use it last week? I’m deciding whether to add this app to my phone….there is so much couponing stuff to keep track of!!!

    • AG

The app is free, so no risk in downloading it. You can always delete it if you’re unhappy. There is an eggs offer this week, but no milk.

    • Double You

Check your offers. I didn’t see milk on mine but I got the eggs.

  28. Rosie

$1 cash back for 1 dozen eggs

    • Malyssa

Wow! Really? Mine is only $.50 back for 1 dozen eggs.

  29. llc

I am going to try this app thanks to all the positive reviews. I quit Ibotta after receiving a threating email when I submitted a receipt over a week old (it was 8 days and during the holidays). They threatened to deactivate my account which I thought was a little aggressive because I wasn’t aware there was a time frame. A simple you cant submit a receipt over 7 days would have sufficed.

    • Eli

I never had prob with ibotta so far since I follow the rules but they probably deal with lots of potential fraudsters that try to cheat with old receipts and thus use that type of tone. It’s not hard to know you are submitting an “old” receipt that doesn’t meet their rules when they always have a popup telling you what dates are acceptable before you can even upload the receipt. Not sure how you could’ve miss that popup.

  30. juan

in Ibotta, is it scary to open a pay pal account? I don’t have a pay pal account and bothers me about you link your bank account to it.. If someone could enlighten me about pay pal account. will really appreciate it.

    • Diane

I had to open a Paypal account to get cash from Swagbucks. I just went into my credit union where I bank and asked for a second acct. that was NOT linked to my first one. Since I struggle with computer stuff my daughter opened up the Paypal account for me and I have been able to transfer my swagbucks to cash though Paypal. I will say I was able to open a Checkout 51 account without any help from my children and I have been able to upload my receipts as well without any help.

  31. 78Brownie

I just mention the eggs somewhere. ShopRite still has loadable coupon for .75 off Safest Choice eggs (2.99) and there’s an eCoupon for .75 (1.25 doubled) . After coupons and Checkout 51 you’re paying .24.

  32. A.R

I have never tried any *cash back* sites before. I am tempted to try this one.
Just that I am not comfortable giving my personal information and/or full address to websites like these.
Can someone please help me understand the possible risks involved?? thank you.
