I wanted to share my finds tonight at Barnes & Noble! Our store in Springfield, IL had 3 tables chock full of stuff and even more stuff under the tables! I added up the regular price of all the items and it was $178.34 worth of items for only $24!!! We definitely made out! Thanks for the tip![/h2s_box]

(Thanks, Emily and Kristi!)

It was $2 clearance at b&n in North raleigh at Crabtree but was mostly just Christmas and books. They had some nice unicef cards.

Super jealous that you could get out and check today. I am in Greenville and the whole town is shut down from the snow and ice. Argh.

    • Stephanie

Hey Emily, I am in raleigh too. Going to hit triangle town tomorrow….hoping they have some good deals left!

  2. sheela

    i got $250 worth of items for $40. each @ $2.
the globe puzzle that u posted, I did the store pick up and I went to pick it up today and It was only $2.
    thank you

I don’t see a 180 piece puzzle on BN’s website. Did you get the 270 piece one? My store has them but they were not with the clearance items. My son was drooling over the 540 piece one yesterday, but it is probably too old for him. I’d definitely get the 270 piece one for $2!

I went to a few Barnes and Nobles in my neck of the woods outside of Seattle. I got lots of good things. I got a guitar “how to” set with 2 dvd’s and a stand for music ( i think it was originally $25), I picked up 4 canvas Christmas bags which I will be using for my grocery shopping (only looked Christmasy on one side.. very high quality bags..), I picked up 4 different Beattles books, a Bob Dylan book (big one- hard cover..), a kids crystal kit, a snow globe, slow cooker cookbook, a few Elf on the Shelf items, journal, cupcake Christmas wrapping paper and some cool Christmas advent books with pop out mini books for them to hang on the tree. Lots of fun stuff! Thanks so much for the heads up! That was fun! 🙂

Can you tell me the name brand of the crystal kit? thanks!

The family calendar is a hit as it includes cute stickers that the kids can add to remember a birthday celebration or event. I found a weekly planner by Sandra Boyton also, thought I would give it a try. Can’t beat the price and hopefully it will help me to be better organized and prepared in 2014! The calendars can also be repurposed behind inexpensive frames to add personality to your kids rooms in the design of their choice for a really low cost!

I’m from Springfield, IL! Crazy to see a reference to my city! 🙂

    Nothing in Richmond.

    • sri

      What location in Richmond?Shortpump?

    • Laurel

      Richmond, VA?

      • Erin

Yup. There were some random books, a broken Elf on the Shelf cookie ;), some weird stuffed toys (Domo maybe?), and *tiny* bags of “coal” candy, which I thought was pretty high for such a small bag. I would have expected regular price to be $2 for the candy.

        • Laurel

Ok awesome thanks! I live down in Dinwiddie so I really didn’t want to make such a long trip for nothing! I wonder about Chesterfield Towne Center?

          • Victoria

Chesterfield Towne Center has quite a few planners. They also have a few books, coal candy as mentioned before, a few Angry bird plushes, Hanukah cards/bag, and a few other random odds and ends. But no large ticket items.

            • Laurel

You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for saving me a trip out with a toddler for nothing!! 🙂

  7. Elena

I wish I could get out of my house! I live in Georgia and am iced in! I can not wait to get out and explore the great deals!

  8. Amanda

I want that ice pop set!

  9. Laura C

Has anyone checked out B&N in Columbus, OH (Sawmill Rd.)? Just curious 🙂

  10. Angela

I found a lot of stuff left last night. I got several puzzles, a memory game, Melissa and Doug pick up sticks, a box set of board books, sudoku puzzle books, learn to draw kit, lots of books, and a really cool kit to make a ship in a bottle. Nothing big or over the top but I’m happy with my finds!

Lydia, If you have an iPad, I found a great app called Awesome Note (aNote). I think it was $4.99. There are different tabs, so you can have a calendar (that syncs to the google calendar), a to do list, a menu planning tab, and I made a “expiring soon” tab to remind me of my extrabucks or free coupons to use before they expire just to name a few. My goal for this year is to become a little more organized. Like you i wanted a way to do a small daily journal to record silly things my boys say, as well as events in my families lives. One thing I like about the app is that I can put in a small daily journal entry. I can also add pictures from what I take with my phone. I am going to try to keep up with this and make a large family yearbook at the end of the year for my husbands birthday. This app has helped me keep on track! You can also upload the entries to Evernote or your Google drive. I like that it is digital so I can cut and paste the text later into the yearbook software. 🙂

I got a 15% off purchase coupon in my email this morning. Didn’t see an exclusion for clearance items.

  12. Adrian

Went to the one in Columbia, MO last night. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Same thing last year. I am beginning to think that our town hates to give people a good deal! 🙂

  13. Allison

Nothing good at the norman, ok store- bunch of cards and books

  14. Kelley Q

I stopped by the B&N near my home in Sacramento, CA, today and found 4 tables and a couple of end caps filled with the clearance items. There were wall calendars, desk and pocket calendars, a few Elf on the Shelf items, Christmas books, cards and wrap, Advent calendars, a few odd small toys and some puzzles. I bought several calendars and day-planners, a gift card holder, a 1,000 piece Autumn Peacock puzzle, a crafters book and a “Discovering Crystals” kit — about $80 of stuff for $19!
