Hi Mae! In store or online?
In store, the 4.5 quart in silver.
Not a fantastic mixer if u bake often. I use my mixer about 10 times a week. I make my own breads, pasta, tortillas, etc. I’ve burned through two KA mixers! Now, I use the Breville Scraper Mixer and it really holds up! I love it!
Hi Lorraine,
I bake my own bread too. Sometimes, more than 3 times a week. I was going to step in & get this mixer. But after reading a lot of negative feedback on other sites, I decided not to. How is the Breville Scraper Mixer that you mentioned? Have you been using it for a very long time? I have to buy one… but want to make sure that I settle in for a good one.
Thank you!
Hey Tina, I’ve been using my Breville for about a year now. Its great! No complaints! I have other Breville appliances like the Smart Oven (3.5 years) and the Sous Chef Food Processor (1.5 years). Their products are fantastic! Now, that i think about it. Im not sure why i bpught KA mixer in the first place! Thank goodness for Costco return policy! The Scraper Mixer is whisper quiet which awesome. I have a 6 mos old and a two year old and I usually bake at their nap times! I know a lot of people opt for KA mixers because of accessories. I have a manual pasta maker (picked up for $20) whereas the KA pasta attachments will run about $150. Also, if you make products back to back, your mixer won’t get hoy at all. I baked three products back to back and the KA would be scorching hot…not a great motor. Or, maybe I bought two lemons in the past? Well, I hope the breville mixer works out for you as it has for me if you do decide to purchase it. 🙂
Thanks Lorraine! I might go for the Breville. I bake a lot of bread. So a mixer would really help me & cut my work in half. Thanks once again 🙂
Should it be opposite? Lower price for card holders, right?
I was asking if it’s true. Saw it on Instagram of a couponer and she said its in store only. Will drop by target later to check and will let you know if it’s indeed true
I have this exact mixer, have had for about 2 years now. I love it. It has 817 reviews on kohls dot com with almost a perfect 5 star rating. I use it for everything, including kneading bread dough and haven’t had any problems.
Kohl’s always exaggerates their regular prices…. the regular price for this one IS $349!
I bought the 4.5 quart as posted a few days ago on here……people were saying the 5qt is sooo much better but I didn’t think it would be a big deal. I opened up my box (it arrived the other day already) and inside was a note saying ‘Congrats, we ran out of the other bowls so you are upgraded!” I got a 5 qt bowl with handle instead of the 4.5 qt!!!!!!! Sweet! After ebates, the rebate and kohls cash i got it shipped to my door for $101. I’d rather do that than hunt at our target store, which never has anything in stock on sale because everyone reads these blogs!!!!!!!!
I looked at our local target and didn’t find any mixers on sale.
