A hint: I was at Sherwin Williams picking up a sample because I knew this sale was coming. Even if you don’t have your paint colors picked out yet, you can purchase the gallons of white paint and have them tinted at a later time when you have selected the color you want! I verified with the associate at the store that tinting is free and can be done whenever you are ready. This is a great price for quality paint even if you aren’t 100% sure on your colors yet and don’t want to make any snap decisions you may regreat later 🙂

We are building a house, this is a great tip! Do you think they would be fine to sit in a basement for 6 months before tinting?
You would have to pick the right base color, which varies for light and dark colors.
You don’t need to pick a color base at this time. All paint cost the same no matter what tint base you buy except some colors of red which have there own tint base. Sherwin Williams is an excellent paint and I used it for years when I was a painter. The paint will be fine sitting around for quite some time. Just return it to the store and have them shake it up there before you are going to use it because over time it separates. If you have a color in mind that you found somewhere else they can match it up for you. Hope this helps. I am sure most stores will let you return it to tint at a later time. Be sure to ask your local store because you don’t want to be stuck with a bunch of white paint. If you have any questions just ask.

Yes! I called my local Sherwin Williams store and they said the coupon can be used with the sale price. My local store has their HGTV Home Paint at $24.59 a gallon and you have to spend over $50 to use the coupon. I hope this helps. 🙂

I have purchased and used their Harmony paint for my home & highly recommend. It has zero VOC’s which is great for children & pets.

My local Home Depot takes these coupons as competitor coupons, your mileage may vary, but it’s worth an ask. I got a gallon of Behr Ultra for $10 cheaper last month using a Sherwin Williams coupon.
