Hi Ashley! I believe they do have to be used at Keurig.com. (Retail for the rivo is $229) I recieved mine last week (This was a free promotion through house party so I did not pay for it!) but i love it. Its so ridiculously easy, the milk froths really well and it tastes really good. I was really impressed! (Starbucks addict) I am nervous about the cups too ($$!) – however I was looking at ebay and they sell little foil covers so you can reuse and refill the cups you have. I am curious to try, and I HOPE they will come out with an eco-cup soon, as it is a pretty new machine. Fingers crossed! I am sure they are both great machines I guess it comes down to price and refill convienence!

just a heads up: i won a similar machine a couple of years ago and it takes pods/capsules, not k-cups which are everywhere and on sale frequently. and there wasn’t any of the adapters for sale either. i donated it to Goodwill.
