I’ve been buying meat there for ever and I’ve never gotten sick from it. It’s great meat. I’m doing this one again!

I don’t buy any meat at Wal-Mart either. No real reason to base my choice on other than it doesn’t seem fresh to me. Who knows, maybe it’s fresher than the meat at my locally owned grocery store but I just can’t buy meat at Wal-Mart : )
I don’t buy meat or poultry at WM anymore. Once I bought chicken breasts and they were so rubbery after I cooked them, that my husband joked it musta been cat meat! I didn’t overcook them, its a foil pack recipe I’ve made countless times and the chicken always comes out juicy and tender. We threw them away and went out to dinner that night! The other was ground meat. I bought it on a Friday to cook on Sunday. The buy date was into the next week. However, when I unwrapped it on Sunday morning, it had the funkiest odor, like sweaty feet. I brought it back for a refund. The lady told me to pick out another pack, but I told her no way. IDK, I just don’t trust their meat. I stick to Winn Dixie (they are the Beef People!) and 2 local grocers.
I would be nervous to do this again just because it has new dates…anyone know if we did two of the last one if we can do this one?
I would love yo do this rebate again , but is there a way to confirm that it is a new rebate and they will accept it when you already did the other one?

This is off the subject but I am having a hard time trying to print from Coupons.com….its saying I need to install coupon bar and I have done it several times and still will not print…any suggestions???? Thanks for your help!!!
try doing it on another browser.my computer wont let me print using firefox.it keeps on asking me reload the installer even if i just did.so i use chrome and it works just fine
If it’s saying to install a coupon bar – it might be trying to override your search engine and replace it with Ask.com. I have my computer settings to block any changes from swagbucks as my default search engine. Go back in to reinstall the coupon driver and make sure that you uncheck the box for Ask.com if that is what’s goofing it up. Good luck!
I haven’t been able to print since October, i did an update on my Mac and zip. I now print from the app on my phone to my eprint printer.
Coupon “Bar” or coupon printer? I have had the “need to install” come up at times.
Sometimes when I let the screen sit for 10 or so seconds…it reads that I already have their coupon printer thingy installed and goes into print mode. And sometimes I just hit the “back” button…and it has corrected itself.

Ellen, I was wondering the same thing. But truly I think it’s a gamble to submit two rebates on one receipt. I wouldn’t want to not receive them because of that.
I did it (because of not being able to split up the hamberger helper coupons) but have a feeling it’s not going to work and I’m going to really regret doing it. I’ve already submitted mine, so when I hear something either way I will post so we all know next time!

Meat from Walmart sounds so tasty! If you guys eat out, u might want to think where your food comes from. It surely doesn’t come from your favorite grocery store.

I was told a while ago by a walmart Butcher they had a 100% money back guarantee on their meat. Not sure if still the case but worth inquiring if worried about quality of the meat.
Does the ground beef have to be $6.44 or less? All of our ground beef is in packages of $9.99 or more. Can I buy the $9.99 package and will I be reimbursed the $6.44 or will they deny the rebate since it was over the $6.44?
I got a package for $6.98, so I hope they reimburse $6.44. It says on the form that you can get any size. I submitted two recipts, also. One with my name and one in my husbands name.
My in laws live close so I’m thinking about doing one to their house as well.
FYI – in Walmart’s ground beef and most of their beef products, they sell select grade instead of choice. Select beef has less marbling and may not have much juiciness or flavor. Choice is higher quality and sold in most grocery stores.
Thanks for the post, Stacy. Not to be a snob but I have a hard time paying whatever Walmart charges when if you follow the sales at Whole Foods, you can usually get ground beef for $3.99 to $4.99 a pound. Tonight we will be picking up some 90% lean for $4.99 a pound.
Oh wow, you consider $4.99/lb a deal? I picked up a 4 lb package of 93% lean at Walmart for $12.59 ($3.15/lb) just a couple days ago, and still considered that a fraction high (although, I typically buy 80% or 85%, especially for grilling purposes). I’ve never found their meats any less appetizing than what I purchase elsewhere. Of course, if I were in the market for a really nice cut of meat, I probably wouldn’t be looking for it at Walmart 😛 so I couldn’t say how they compare at that level.
just FYI… walmart was one of the hundreds of retailers that received meat from Rancho Feeding Corp. in Petaluma, CA which had 9 millions pound of meat recalled this last month. Target, 7/11 and other well known fast-food restaurants were also in the huge list.
Just be cautious. If it never happened to you to get sick, it doesn’t mean it never will.

I have yet to receive my rebate and it has been 12 weeks. On another site, a user said she had contacted Walmart and was told this was a scam. I sure hope that is not the case. I have a hard time believing that this was a “scam”. I say this because it was posted/linked through Walmart, General Mills, and coupons.com.
To be fair, the offer sheet DOES say it can take up to 12 weeks for processing after the receiving date. Mailing on the very first day of the promo, and allowing at least a week for USPS delivery and opening the PO box, 12 weeks would only put us to about August 1st anyway. If by mid-September no one has yet received anything, then I’ll start feeling ripped off by Walmart/General Mills (but still, not scammed).
I have contacted Walmart on the Facebook site. I made copies of both my rebates I sent in on the Hamburger they have ask me to send them this. I will let you know when I hear anything back from them.
Still waiting here, too. Received my rebates for two others that were submitted after this (Armor All and Smart Must Haves); but also still waiting for another one (Heaven Hill/Cinerator — when I search their database using the link provided, it says they don’t have me on record .____.) Hopefully these pull through.
I read on another site it saying that this was a scam. But below it says they contacted General Mills and they say the rebate should be there today. I have emailed General Mills with my copies of both rebates I have sent in today.

I done two of these I contacted Walmart weeks ago on Facebook they told me to send the information. I haven’t done this yet. On another site people say they contacted Walmart and they said it was a fraud. But I did find on another site they said they had emailed General Mills about it And said their rebate was to be there this week. I have sent General Mills copies of both my Walmart Receipts and my Rebate Forms that I sent in on June 12th this week in a email. As of today I still have not heard anything from them. I will post something as soon as I know. If anyone else has got their rebates please post so we will know I have other people who done this before me and still do not have theirs.
General Mills has contacted me and said if I do not receive my Rebates by 9-9-2014 to call them they have sent me a number. So I am waiting. Will post when they arrive.

I had 2 rebates arrive today on 09/02/2014 waiting on 2 more at my mothers house, their male hasn’t come for the day.
I only did one rebate because I forgot to mail my second one in. I received the rebate check in the mail finally today.
