awesome deals! But I can’t get to a Target until this Friday 5/16. Anyone think the canon pixma mg5520 will sell out before then??
Maybe call your store to see if they could hold it for you!
Anyone know the cost of ink for these?
I just looked on the Cannon website to see what the features were. Looks like each ink tank costs around $12, so you only replace the one that is empty.
Meg i have a wireless cannon printer (diff model #) and there are 4 different color inks, the bundle pack is about $25 and the black ink is about $12.99. that’s if u buy it in store, i’m not sure about the online ink deal places
I just bought a new printer last week & wanted one that I could print coupons from. Because Coupons.com is only wirelessly compatible with inkjet HP’s, I bought an HP Officejet Wireless Pro 8600 on sale for $119.99 at Best Buy. I used $100 in Best Buy gift certificates from Shopkick, my Best Buy Reward Zone, my register Shopkick credit card & bought the 4 yr warranty plan. My oop was under $95.
Haha that is too funny we just bought this Saturday and used $105 gift card I got from doing Starbucks and I had a $5 reward for best buy. Haha.
Swagbucks not Starbucks hahah
Did that info come from HP? I am wondering because I have an Epson Artisan printer and I print everything, including Coupons.com wirelessly.
Yes, that’s the info they provided in their site which influenced my purchase decision. I researched tons of printers for a couple of weeks before I finally bought one. Are you able to print from coupons.com with your Epson?
Is this a new thing with coupons.com?
FYI – I have been able to print from Coupons.com with my 2 year old $130 Epson Artisan 710. Would I recommend an Epson printer? NO WAY! It’s an ink sucker. The price of ink has doubled since I bought it… originally $40 for 6 colors now $80+. It has 6 different colors and if one is empty it will not print. The black and the cyan are empty most often…needing to be replaced every 5 months. It will not recognize the generic cartridges. The majority of printing I do is just coupons with an occasional school poster board project. It jams up often and you have to feed one sheet at a time. Totally frustrating machine!
Yes. I print from Cpoupons.com on a daily basis on my Epson.
with the HP printed you have a display and can print from the actual printer. so you can print the 2 sets of q’s from coupons.com and then print 2 more directly from your printer. hope that makes sense.
I wonder why the MG5520 is more expensive than the MX472??? I need a printer and I like the document feeder option of the MX472, but wonder if the other one is better, with the discount are pretty much the same price.
Oh my!!! I just got back from staples after buying ink for my son’s printer because mine locked up and I have not been able to print coupons for 2 weeks. I searched online and was completely frustrated with trying to find a wireless printer. (my printers have always been HP and wired) I know very little about Canon. Any insight will be helpful.
I just bought a Cannon All IN ONE Printer for $29.00 @Wal-Mart.com Model # PIXMA MG2500 SERIES. I had mine shipped site to store for free. The only thing that I should have bought online is the USB printer cord they are cheaper online than in the store. Printer works great and is compatible with Hp.
Does anyone know if you can print from an ipad/iPhone with these?
The ink on most of these cNon printers is not worth it if you just do coupons. I know from experience. But you can get discounted ink on eBay.
I use a canon printer and it works with coupons.com iphone app! I’m thinking of getting a second printer. My printer also takes generic ink with no problems!
Which model do you have? How much do you usually pay for ink?
Thank you so much! I was looking at the Cartwheel for the MX472 yesterday. Need to replace my printer/scanner in my classroom. Went and got it today for $53 after tax! Thanks again!
i have a photosmart 7525 from costco was $100 with there coupon and it had a sample of ink but now the ink is like $54 to change is it me or is that ridiculous because i dont even print photos i rarely use it should i just get one of these???
I recently went to our local ink shop. They were giving away used refurbished brother printers. All I had to do was buy the toner cartridge for 59.00. I get over 8000 pages with one cartridge. Will never go back to the other type printer with small cartridges that last 2 months for 25.00 a cartridge.
Does anyone currently have a Canon printer and have no problems printing coupons.com wirelessly with it? Coupons.com supposedly being only compatible with HP printers is news to me, and I don’t want to get a printer that I won’t be able to print from multiple devices from!
I have a Canon PIXMA MG5420. I have no trouble printing coupons.com coupons. I hated my HP printer…it constantly went offline and took quite an effort to get it back up and running. It only lasted a few months before it broke. It’s warranty replacement only lasted a few months too…it was still using the original ink tanks. Dealing with HP was the worst. Hours and hours on the phone, most of it with them trying to upsell you something. Go with Canon and be happy. Buy cheap ink tanks for $21 a set from Sophia on Amazon…here’s the link for the ones I need
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DC4OKZM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00DC4OKZM&linkCode=as2&tag=wwwhip2saveco-20&linkId=KQKY5CLXBP4HZE55
And you’re able to print wirelessly at coupons.com? Thanks for the link!
i own the MG3520 bought from Target a few months back. It has duplex printing (it will flip the page to print the 2nd side). It loads paper from the front which also helps me.
Canon ink is around $50 if I buy both the black and color cartridges at Office Depot. I use the $10 off $50 Office Depot coupons I get in the mail from Office Depot rewards. This is my 3rd or 4th model of Canon.
I almost bought the Canon printer that Walgreens now sells in store, but glad I didn’t because it doesn’t have the duplex printing or load paper from front.
You can learn about printers at https://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/home
One other thing, Canon printers have an ink blotter sponge inside. It collects ink drips or something. When it gets full you get a warning about it, but can keep printing. It eventually gets too full and you can no longer print. You have to buy a new printer. It took my 2 years before this happened with the last one. No one repairs printer for this problem, cause it’s not cost effective. Cheaper to buy a new one. I never print photos with mine, only documents and coupons.
I still use mine with the wire, not wireless.
p.s. The ink tanks that come with the models are smaller than the ones you can buy when you replace them. Look for the ones with XL or XXL in the number.
I price matched the canon 5520 with amazon. 72.99 and used the 45% cartwheel and paid with my red card. Total was 38.15 plus tax for a $150 printer!
Is everyone finding these printers on sale in store because online I looked at the mg5520 and it is the $149
Yes, they are on sale in store
I purchased the 5520 yesterday, and am pretty happy with it! It is a huge step up from what we had. Setup was fairly easy, although I had to download drivers from canon since I have a Mac. It was very easy to print from my iphone and the quality of prints was pretty good.
