These instant tents really are great. We have this one and it really is easy.
We already own this tent…….buy it! U won’t be sorry! My then 8 year old always put it up all by herself!!
I know it says you don’t need one, but will I need a rainfly?
The Instant Tent at Costco is orange, and it is a color exclusive to Costco, the Amazon one is blue….and we just picked one up last week also from Costco for the same price….the rainfly is not included on either of these (available for purchase separately) so we ordered ours off the Coleman website…it has free shipping for orders over $25 with the promo code free25 entered on cart page. The rainfly costs $34.99 on their site. We received ours in about 3 days… 🙂
I camp a lot. Rain flys usually come in handy for heavier rains… so since you never know what weather you will have when you go camping, I would recommend getting one. 🙂

This is a 6 person tent but only sleeps 4?
It is a six person tent…only if you sleep only using sleeping bags, 4 placed horizontally and 2 vertically. If you use 2 queen airbeds, that would take up more space. Then because of the extra space taken up by the airbeds, it would be more like a 4 person tent. : )
I always reduce the number of people significantly, almost by half. For regular family, not really royghing it style camping, you need to figure in extra space for air mattresses/cots as Robin mentioned, room for bags of clothing and a bit of space between to walk without stepping on things. It’s a six person tent maybe for backpackers who are sleeping in regular sleeping bags close together, storing their gear elsewhere and are just in the tent at night to avoid the elements.

Is this the exact same tent as the one from Costco? I always wonder the items from Costco might have less feature due to mass quantity.
According to Coleman Customer Service, the only difference between the Costco one (orange), and this one (blue) is the color. I was told this was to differentiate it as a Costco exclusive item…hope that helps!
