There was only one lonely box in my store. These may be hard to find for some people.

  2. Cindy

Got it at my CVS in Springfield MO with no problem! Thanks Hip2Save!!!

  3. Kristi

It is full price on the website. How do we know it is on sale for this price?

    • Kristi

Store near my mom doesn’t have it in fort worth.

  4. Rachel

Got it at my CVS just 1 hr ago in Mn no problems! Thanks Collin!

I’m so sorry for the confusion! You are right in that this razor is actually part of the 2000 series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention…I’ve updated the post!

Just got one in PA. There were two on the shelf but I left one for someone else because it was the second CVS I went to. The cashier had to ask the manager if it was okay to take the coupon. He said it was the correct series#, rang me up and it beeped so he had to use a key to override the transaction. No problems he was very pleasant. The coupon machine did not give me any of the other coupons people have mentioned.

  7. Marcio

We just got 2 in L.A. Their system was not accepting the 20 dollar coupon, however the cashier called the manager to override the coupon to our purchases.
With the 4 off 10 coupon we ended up paying 8.69 each!

    Thanks

  8. Maricela

Just got mine in CA. Paid only $8.39 by using the $20 & $4 CVS coupon.

  9. todd

So i went to one CVS and the cashier said they had to over ride the amount and the supervisor needed to do it, but she was on lunch to come back in 40 mins. I decided to go to another CVS down the street, and the cashier put my coupon under a black light and said a hologram is supposed to appear if its a real coupon. I told him hiw is there supposed to be a hologram if i printed it from my printer? He said all high value coupons have holograms and alot of coupon sites are getting sued cause they are bogus coupons… Thats f’ing ridicious. So im gonna go back to the other one that said to come back in 40 mins. Has anyone experienced these “black light coupons scanners”?

    • Aly

The black light scanner is not supposed to be used for coupons, we use it for drivers licenses, checks and cash. Sounds like the cashier BS’d you.

      • todd

        Really?? Thanks Aly.

        • todd

Yeah…i figured he didnt know what he was doing, if u get a coupon in the Sunday paper, i doubt they have holograms on them. But i believed him. Oh well….im going back to the origial location that told me to come back.

          • Eunice

That cashier was so stupid for telling you that your printed coupon should have a hologram. How can a coupon printed online have a hologram? Only coupons mailed from the manufacturers have it and you can see it with your naked eye and no need to put it under a machine to check it lol

    • Debby

I just used mine 5 minutes ago at the CVS in Pismo Beach, California…and no problem! Got mine for $9.99!! Extra razor my husbands gym bag…cheaper than a disposable razor!!

  10. Van

    Sold out at my store!

  11. Jeremy

My cvs would not take coupon. Said they received email that this razor is not a 6000 series.

  12. Jess

Sold out at Schaumburg IL CVS stores 🙁 ….

  13. Karen

I actually found two at the first CVS I stopped at. They were not signed on sale so that’s probably why they were still there. I used two 20. coupons, $4/$10 and $12 in ECB’s so 4.62 for both inc. tax!

    • Thu

Did your coupon go through fine? I am confused, some people’s coupons beeped and some didn’t. Did it give you any problem or did it beep at all? I also have the $4 CRT but I will just try 1 $20 coupon.

      • Karen

It did beep but just because it was $20 and needed a mgr to ok it. Now I see its the 2000 series and the coupons don’t match. I just wonder how anyone would know that in the store without looking it up online because the model number is in the 6000’s. Why Norelco make these coupons for certain series but then none of the packages are labeled w/series numbers.

      • shirin

my coupon beeped too.the manager fixed it.but i asked him first abt the series.and he told me that if it is starting from number 6 it is 6000 series.and i was lucky to get it.

  14. Heidi

So I was able to get one and use my coupon which was great but noticed that tax is charged on the original amount before any coupons. So a little over $3 just in tax. Is that normal? We live in Oklahoma. It’s still a great price but don’t think it’s fair to have to pay full price taxes which were almost 30% of my total purchase.

    • Leslie

You always pay tax on everything based on the before coupon price. Totally normal.

      • Nik

False! It actually depends on your state. In Texas, we are taxed AFTER coupons.

    • Ashley

I’m in Oklahoma too and we are charged before coupon price. This is why I love Target so much because if you have Target store coupons, they reduce the price of the actual shelf price, so less tax.

  15. Aly

If yours isn’t marked as on sale in your store, scan it at the coupon center and check. A lot of smaller stores don’t have time to put up these monthly price cut signs, so sometimes they get thrown away. With a coupon over $10 dollars, it needs a manager’s approval, so if it beeps it is promoting the cashier to get the manager’s approval.

    • Aly

      Not promoting, prompting.

  16. Laurie

I was able to get one in MI with no problems. No beeps or rude employee. Great deal thanks Collin!

  17. bali

Got one in KS without any issues, yay! $9.99, awesome deal. Thanks for the heads up!

  18. Janelle

The Target in Royal Oak/Troy, MI (on Coolidge) said it must be a 6000 series and claimed the Model# 6948XL didn’t apply. However, the Target in Madison Hgts let me get qty 1. (had enough coupons for two but they said one per customer)

    • Kylie collins

      How much was it, Janelle?

      • Janelle

I had them price match the target.com price of $24.99. So $4.99 tax after $20 coupon 🙂 Good luck!!

  19. actionman3

it worked for me. i printed the coupon, she scanned it and it gave me $20 off, no hassle, barely anything said at all. just try to have them scan it before they give you any trouble about it.

  20. Rose

I got mine! Here in Virginia thank you!!!!

    • Lisa

Where in Virginia? Did the coupon beeped?

      • tiffany

i wonder the same thing, im in chantilly va

  21. m

If you look at norelco site, all of them 6??? Is part of 6000 series. I was able to do the deal, manager had to clear it first since it was high value. Fyi my cvs has told me if i need something i can order it frm them, so those of you whose stores are sold out ask about ordering or get a raincheck

    • Nik

Just because a certain “model” starts with a 6 does not mean its part of the series 6000….

    • nicolegammeter

I’m so sorry for the confusion! You are right in that this razor is not part of the 6000 series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention…I’ve updated the post!

  22. L.K

I cant find them in stock anywhere but got a raincheck just in case.

  23. Chelsea B

My CVS wouldn’t let me do it and the cashier even yelled at me about trying to buy it because they already had someone try it earlier and it didn’t work. What the heck!

    • Sheela

SAME HERE!! someone tried to use it, and they claim Loss Prevention told them NOT to take it. this is so dumb.

      • mel

No, not DUMB. Smart catch on their part and shame on bloggers promoting this deal. This razor IS NOT part of the “6000” series. Just b/c the model # is 6948XL, does not mean it falls under the 6000 series.

        • nicolegammeter

I’m so sorry for the confusion! You are right in that this razor is actually part of the 2000 series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention…I’ve updated the post!

          • mel

Oh gosh Collin, I am soo sorry, I did not mean to come across as snarky. I wasn’t pointing you out, but another blogger that said to just continue to use the coupon!!

            • nicolegammeter

No worries at all, Mel! 🙂

  24. pam

That is not the right razor its in the 2000 series called norelco

  25. angie

Just got mine @ 11 & harper scs mich for $7.79 with $20 mani & $4 cvs coupons. They had 4 left in stock.

  26. Nik

I emailed you Collin. This is the incorrect razor. So many people misusing this coupon. The 6948xl IS NOT A SERIES 6000. The 6945xl is though.

    • nicolegammeter

Thanks, Nik! I’m so sorry for the confusion! You are right in that this razor is actually part of the 2000 series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention…I’ve updated the post!

  27. Monty

What a great deal! I had been postponing getting a replacement for a dying Norelco and then this came along. The closest CVS to me had 3 of these but I only needed one shaver. Price was marked $52.99, but the Magic Coupon Machine confirmed that with a CVS card it was $29.99. An experienced helpful cashier took the coupon and let the computer beep a couple of times before charging me a great big $10.81 including tax. The best deal in a long time!

  28. Emj

Thanks, got the only one at my store!

  29. marcela

The ones on CVS are the only ones that doesn’t have the series on the box i went to target and Walmart and on the box it says is the 2000 series =(

    • nicolegammeter

I’m so sorry for the confusion! You are right in that this razor is actually part of the 2000 series. Thanks for bringing this to my attention…I’ve updated the post!

  30. Lori

    Got one in St Louis!

  31. Colleen

Got the last one at my store! Manager and cashier were great, said I got the last one! Paid $5.99 plus tax for it!

  32. Monty

I don’t understand why Norelco would put model 6948 in series 2000. Their dumb reasoning got a good deal for many of us.

    • Karen

I agree. That’s why I don’t feel so bad getting the deal. How would anyone guess a model number starting w/ a 6 would not be a 6000 series if they box did not indicate anything different.

      • shirin

        i agree…i got 1

      • Potato

Maybe you should feel bad that CVS is now not going to be reimbursed the $20 they are out for each of these coupons wrongly used. That is who is going to suffer from this, and they didn’t assign the model number to the product!

  33. A L

I find it amusing that other deal sites took Collin’s picture of this razor. it has the Hip2Save watermark on the picture on those other sites!

  34. tammy

I found one In VA. Total after coupons.
    . $8.58! SWEET!!

    • Lisa

Where in Virginia? Did the coupon beeped?

  35. Cheryl

I like how it’s totally different everywhere! I went to cvs and got one just fine – no questions, no hassle, no rude people. Went through like normal. I had to pay $12 with tax, but still an 81% savings! I live in Indiana.

  36. janet

After coming back from Wal-Mart disappointed because the manager wouldn’t override the price, I decided to call Norelco themselves, apparently the 6948xl razor is a 2100 Series and not a 6000 Series…. Bittersweet. :/

  37. jan

So is It part of the 6000 series?

  38. jojossi77

    Price match mine at target

  39. YG

Got one in MD. The cashier beeped due to high value coupon. Manager has to override it. He told me I could not use the coupon due to the statement on the coupon “cannot be combined with special offer.” He claimed the “sale price” is special offer. He did finally override it.

  40. Kay

Score! Thank you for the tip. Picked up the only one on the shelf. I had no problem at the register. I used the $20 coupon, $3 coupon off razors and $4 bonus bucks for a grand total of $2.99 plus tax.

  41. Kim

Now I’m super confused… I bought a different model number than what is listed here… I bought the 6945xl but was originally $60 on sale for 29?

    • Kim

I just checked on their website… The one I bought is a 6000 series? So everyone should check which they bought, you might have bought the correct one too

      • Kim

Philips Norelco 6000 series dry electric razor 6945XL/41 CleanCut heads Flexing heads
        6945XL/41

Can anyone tell me if the coupon was supposed to be used on the one I bought?

  42. julie

actually that coupon worked. with my cash rewards I built up I got it free. Also u can ask for a rain check if they are out of the razor

  43. tammy

i feel like even after reading comments, people know that its not the right coupon but are still trying to use it anyways. this is coupon abuse!

    • Loyda

Totally agree! I don’t like that, it’s going to be bad for us the couponers in the future. Please, even if it is a great deal, but it’s not the right coupon! It’s sad ppl are still doing it.

  44. Janna

I got one for $5.99! Thank you!!!

  45. Jennifer Kula Spirio

I just got one on Long Island. In my store next to the coupon machine people leave what they don’t use. I got the $4 off $10 on top of it. The manager over rode the Coupon and with $5 extra care bucks from a past visit. $1.00

    • beth

But then wouldnt they (cvs) lose 20$ for not getting the coupon value, and another 20$ to reiumburse you for an incorrect coupon?

    • Diana

Coupons are meant for a specific card #- your not supposed to use another cvs cards coupons.

  46. Kimi

For anyone that purchased this razor and felt terrible about finding out that the coupon is not for this product, simply return the product and get an in-store credit. It can’t hurt either way–for me, it an honest error. I just don’t want the sales associate and managers to risk their jobs for not verifying that the razor was in the correct series. The plus is the return of the product. The negative can not return the coupon, so they still have to issue you a store credit for thirty plus dollars…

    • Potato

That is still a loss for CVS of $20 though, just now it is a loss of $20 of store merchandise ultimately.

  47. Jane

If you return it, they give you 29.99 and tax credit, which seems grossly dishonest. I am perplexed and unsure what to do. Please help me clear my conscious.

  48. Kim

Can anyone answer my question about my model? 6945xl?

    • Leslie

I got this model as well and norelco lists it as a 6000 series so the coupon was correctly used. Hope this helps.
