Does Toys R Us price match? We went to the building event on Saturday and pre-reserved the Blu Ray for $1.00 (cost is $19.99) now I got an email telling me that they didn’t get their shipment and it’s not in stock for pick up today? I see all of these other deals going on, can I price match another ad when I pick up?

    • cropsofluv

yes they will price match and your $1 pre sale will count towards that price.

    • Steve

Every time I’ve ever pre ordered from therei I’ve gotten the same email. They’re always in stock and especially if you pre ordered it.

    • katie

They usually get the movie a week or so before the release date. At least they did when I worked there a few years ago.

  2. Coleen

Just saw this movie for $14.99 at target

    • Steve

That’s for the DVD and digital copy.

    • April

$14.99 is DVD and digital download.

$22.99 is blue-ray DVD digital download, some copies advertised a booklet with stickers.

    • Sara

That was the DVD these are blu ray prices

  3. Queenmum

My 4 year old really wants this movie but we haven’t seen it yet. I heard there is blood shed in the movie.
Is it appropriate for little ones? Any input would be most appreciated 🙂

    • Jessica

I took my seven and three year old to see it and they loved it. I didn’t think there was anything bad about it.

    • Jess

      I agree. Perfectly fine I think. 🙂

    • Jackie

Very cute, took my boys 11, 6 and 2, WE ALL liked it so much!

    • allison a

My hubby and I took our kids (3,6,8) to this in the theater – it was well worth it. My 3yo was just as entranced as his big sisters. I’d say the worst of it is some of the words, b/c everything is done in real Lego blocks (mostly CG, some stop-motion), including the fighting. Just be sure to watch it before your son does so you know what’s coming.

    • Marie S.

I have to respectfully disagree. There was a lot of violence in this movie. My daughter, who is older, was bothered by it even though it wasn’t “real”. I think it depends on what they are used to seeing though.

      • Jen B.

I have to agree with you. My 7-yr-old son and I saw it in theaters and I ran out and bought it today on DVD (which we are watching right now lol). I think it would be too intense for a 4-yr-old during some scenes, not to mention quite a bit of the humor would be lost on them. It’s a great movie though. After I bought it at Target, I went to Costco and saw that they had the BluRay version with DVD and digital copy for $17.99 which is a great deal given it was only $3 more than the regular copy I purchased.

    • Jessica

This movie actually has a really cute story line! Took my 4 and 6 year old to see it and they both loved it!

  4. Anne

Got it this afternoon from amazon. Kids are watching it right now. I’m happy I didn’t have to leave the house. They seem to be enjoying it, they are 5 and 7.

  5. allison a

Just a heads up for those of you who pre-ordered on Amazon. I just chatted with a guy to get it adjusted to $17.99. The pre-order price adjustment only counts up to the ship date. But they do adjust if their price goes down within 7 days of shipment. Just a simple online chat and I now $7 more in my pocket while watching the cutest kid movie in ages. Yay!

    • Anne

Not sure what you meant, I paid 14.96 pre order on amazon.

  6. Steve

Here’s the price for Best Buy next week.
Blu ray DVD digital copy $19.99
3D Blu ray Blu ray DVD digital copy $44.99
    DVD $17.99

  7. Lisa

I ordered the blu Ray $17.99 combo from Amazon. They’ve also price matched Target in the Lego movie video game being $39.
Got that, too! My sons birthday gifts are now complete…Lego everything.

  8. Rachel

Does anyone know that if you price match Best Buy’s Price for the Blu-ray if you can still get the $10 off the Lego set?

    • Michelle

Yes! I price matched best buy for $17.99 blu ray and the register automatically gave me the $10 off on a Lego movie video game. The 3Ds game is on sale for $19.99, so I got both blu ray/DVD/UV combo and 3Ds game for $27.98!

  9. Michelle

At Meijer it was on sale for $14.99, reg price $19.99. Plus I had a 15% off from my meijer credit card!

  10. Sarah

Just looked and there is a $2 off mPerk coupon (for Meijer) for the Blu Ray of 3D Blu Ray Combo.

    • betsy

What is the blurry price @ Meijer? Thanks

  11. Robin

Will Target price match and give you the $10 off with the lego purchase?

    • Kim

No. I tried this morning. The $10 breaks down over the 2 items. The blu ray was $18.20 and the lego set was $20 and some change.

    • andrea

I price matched amazon and got the $10 off of the lego. But you have to find the blu ray combo pack without the book.

      • Monica

Kim, the Target price-match worked fine for me.
I price-matched the Walmart price ($17.96 Blu-Ray) at Target today and I also got $10 off a Lego Set. My receipt lists the Blu-ray as $17.96 and the set as $25.00, with the -$10.00 under the package subtotal. Total cost for both together was $31.31 plus $2.19 sales tax on my Target RedCard (extra 5% off).

  12. Salena Begley

Costco has the DVD blue ray digital hd for $17.99

  13. Amanda

I actually ordered mine on saturday from walmart.com with free shipping @ $17.96 for the bluray combo pack. but when it gets here i am returning it. because today I went to Target and picked up the same one and price matched it to walmart.com @ $17.96 AND got the $10 off a lego set my son wanted so that was only $15 instead of $25(org. $30 but already $5 off right now on sale!) And if you pay attention at Target they have 2 different sets of the bluray combo pack. one with the blue cover and another with a yellow cover. and the yellow cover has an activity book with stickers inside it! 🙂 so for $33 i got $66 worth of lego movie merchandise! 🙂

    • Amanda

and I used my target card so and extra 5% off, making it $31.35!

  14. Taylor

My walmart in Michigan had it today for $14.98

  15. Nona

Costco has the Blue Ray/DVD/Digital copy combo pack for $17.99. Thats the best price I have seen for all three. Picked it up today.

  16. Katie

Not Lego-related, but I’m hoping for some advice from other movie-buying moms. I joined Disney Movie Club last month and was wondering if
    1) the current Buy 1 get 1 40% off w/ free shipping offer is the best I’ll get as a non-VIP member
    2) 3D combo packs count toward fulfilling my commitment
    3) DMC has double feature offers (2 diff movies for special price, not original & sequel of same movie)

  17. Laura

Got it for $17.99 at Costco, the Blu Ray pack too.

  18. Renee

Went to target got it priced matched from Walmart for $17.98 then got a set of Legos $29.99 on sale for $25 then got $10 off that set making it $15. Both Legos and blue ray set with Legos $32.98

  19. Sena

Costco had them for 17.99 for the blu-ray dvd digital copy.

  20. Hilary

$14.98 for the DVD at Wal-Mart. Got it as a surprise for our daughter to watch on the way to the beach tomorrow! She loved seeing it in the theater.

  21. Katie

Just a heads up: I bought mine at walmart today–DVD (not Blu-Ray) and inside was a free kids ticket to LegoLand Park or LegoLand Discovery Center!

  22. Angie B.

At my local Walmart, they had the Lego movie in a display that said the price was $14.96.

  23. CGY

Honestly, unless you have a really high pixel HDTV, there isn’t much difference between the quality of the Blu-ray vs. DVD. At least my kids don’t notice the difference. I usually just go with the DVD for kids movies unless the Blu-ray deal is equal or better. Sounds like Walmart may have the best deal on the DVD??? The DVD price at CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid is $16.99 (after any money/points back).

    • Casey

If you have a 1080p TV you need bluray.

  24. Kelli

    I thought CVS was doing extra bucks…. 19.99 with 2extrabucks (16.99)

  25. Trish

Please remember that Target will price match Walmart, Best Buy, Toys R Us, and Amazon! 🙂 Happy shopping!!
