Be sure to check for possible recalls on this company’s products. It seems that there have been multiple recalls in recent years, due to possible salmonella and other sources of contamination.

I’ve used Science Diet for years, but I remember at one time there was a recall on it also. I will try this because I like the idea of less filler. According to my vet, the more filler the more feces in the yard. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, what goes in must come out. Maybe he said it is smellier with the corn additives. Any thoughts from you dog lovers?
General tips when choosing good: As a pet-lover with a scientific background, the best thing I can advise you to do is look at the actual nutritional content of the food, not the marketing nonsense. Science Diet makes excellent food and does more for shelters and rescue groups than any other brand. Fancy Feast classic variety cans are a great nutritional choice for diabetic cats, while Blue refuses to share their nutritional values. Read labels. Try out a few. See what works.
