This is a fantastic product. It’s inexpensive, ergonomically friendly, and sharpens very well. Because it is both small and attractive, I can leave it on the kitchen counter beside my knife block for very quick, easy touch-up sharpening (use the ceramic slot for this purpose).
Man, this thing is tiny! I don’t mention that because it affects it’s performance, I was just surprised, as it appears larger in the pictures. This sharpener performs well, with plenty of rubber coating on it for a good hand grip and good traction on the counter.
I love this thing so much. I recently bought another product that I considered the absolute best price/value product I have ever bought on Amazon, but this little sharpener is a new contender for that title. To put it simply, I just can’t afford really good knives, so I’ve put time into learning to sharpen knives. I am OK, but I wanted something that I could use to put a quick edge on my kitchen knives whenever I’m about to use them, and this is a fantastic product for that.

My mother sharpens her knives on the rough bottoms of ceramic bowls/plates. Swipe it a few times along the flat edge of the knife at a slight angle. I’ve tried it and it actually works!
I do something similar! I sharpen my knives on the bottom of ceramic mugs. Or on one of my bricks on the patio!

hmmm i don’t know what it was applied from but on checkout – i got the free shipping b/c I had another item in my cart I needed that was 31.99 so it was over $35.00 but then it applied a $5.00 promotion to the knife cutter and it came up on checkout as .99! WHOA!
