Maybe someone can help me. I just moved to a new house and now have a gas range instead of electric, which I’ve used me whole life. The handles on my pots get crazy hot, never did that on electric. Do I need special pots or will it do this with all pots? Thanks for any help or recommendations!
I have this same set and a gas range. When I use the higher settings of the gas then they do get very hot. I bought silicone pot handle sleeves from Kohl’s that work well to abate the heat. Unfortunately they do not make them for the pots with handles on two sides, so I still use pot holders when handling those.
Still – I would never give up my gas range for anything! I’ve been a “cooking with gas” person my whole life. I hope you learn to like it too.
And this set is great. Nothing sticks which makes them easy to clean. Looks nice too. I bought a set for my mom for Mother’s Day and she is equally pleased.
Only other caution I would offer is to never take the glass lid off when its hot and set it down on the counter top handle up. I did this on my granite counter top and it formed a seal, trapping the heat and resulting in the lid shattering. I’ve learned to put these lids handle side down when removing them from a hot pot or pan.
Finally – this is a great price for this large of a set!

Does anyone know what the interior is made of? It says only the exterior is hard anodized…and that this interior is non-stick? Does this mean Teflon or something similar? I’m trying to stay away from things like that and I’ve read that ceramic, stainless steel, and hard anodized are safer options…but it doesn’t seem like the interior is hard anodized. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The cookware below dropped to $99.99 and uses a ceramic coating on the inside! I believe the one on this page is PTFE which is supposed to be safer than PFOA but there’s still debate on it.
