  2. Terri

Hmmm, I get an error message when I click to print the 75 cent coupon: “We’re sorry, but an error has occurred while processing your request.”

  3. Amy

    Plus it’s rolling!

    • Cindy

Thank you Amy! that was my next question!

  4. Rowen

And we can apply the $3 to more of the exact same toothpaste?

  5. Michele

I bought the toothpaste today in two and not one register reward printed. The manager was baffled why not . I used points to pay not rr.

    • Maria

Same thing happened to me, they added 3k points instead, weird!!!

    • VB

I read online Texas stores were having issues with the register rewards not printing are you from Texas by chance?

      • Maria

        Yes!! Austin, TX 🙂

    • mamasweetpea08

I was just wondering what happens when one uses balance reward points. Anyone have any success getting register rewards to print?

    • greysw

same thing happened in WI, RR wont print, i ended up bought 2 in order to get the 3k points :/

      • Kim

Ladies FYI, I just purchased 2 Colgate toothbrushes, and it didn’t print, I mentioned to cashier, she knew the machine was out of paper…… She went to the next register it printed, so ask them if it’s out of paper, unless they have tuned off machine, you should be receiving those $3rr’s…. It’s advertised

  6. Rowen

    Oh! Is there a limit?

  7. Ophellie

    Yay, it’s rolling too!

  8. Heidi Sil

Two part question, What does rolling mean… and do you have to do separate transactions if you buy more than one… Thanks

    • bethwalgreens

Normally you can’t use a RR earned to purchase the exact same product and have a new RR print. BUT…sometimes it does work. “Rolling” Means that you can purchase the toothpaste at $2.59, get back a $3 RR and use that RR to purchase another toothpaste. You just need to add a filler so your total is above $3
You could purchase two Act II popcorn $0.25 each with in ad coupon. Your total would be $3.09, use the $3 RR and pay $0.09 and get back a new $3 RR. I hope that makes sense. 🙂 Also each item must be purchased individually.

      • Heidi Sil

        Thank you!!!

      • April

Do you work for Walgreens? If so seems odd that you are here giving advice on rolling.

        • Cindi

Haha why?? This whole site is dedicated to giving advice and help on how to save money, and rolling at walgreens, or anywhere for that matter, is a well known coupon skill. Is it possible she was trying to be friendly or helpful?

          • Cindi

My point being this isn’t dishonest or sneaky IMO, most employees or walgreens are aware of coupon policy and many find this acceptable if the system allows it.

        • Rebe

          April, why?

    • Nick

Normally at Walgreens you cannot pay with a RR on the same item you earned it from and receive another one. Like a Starbucks refreshed priced at $1 and earn a $1 RR. You cannot use that $1 RR, buy another, and get a $1 RR again. HOWEVER, a glitch in the system sometimes happens where that DOES happen. AKA “rolling”.

      • Heidi Sil

        Thank You!!!

  9. Sarah

Hi! Can you update the link to the $0.75 coupon? Thanks

    • bethwalgreens

the link should work now. 🙂

  10. livy

I accidentally threw away my register reward, does anyone know if they’ll be able to reprint it?

    • Erin

No. It is not linked to your card. Sorry!

    • Maria

No, you won’t be able to get it back. Sorry! I put mine in my wallet with my cash so i don’t forget and let it expire (I speak from experience)

  11. Rowen

Make sure you guys all get to the store asap, because we all know it will be sold out/they’ll fix the glitch!

  12. Abc

Tried to roll the $3 RR. On the second transaction I got a toothpaste and a $.59 filler. Total $3.18. The $3 RR from my first transaction wouldn’t scan. Then the manager tells me I can’t use the RR because it is a manufacturing coupon so one specific item in my transaction must be $3 or more, and not the combined total. Is this a new policy?

    • Erin

Nope. Just the manager not wanting multiple transactions with freebies. Or just ill informed, I guess. It’s always interesting when stores ad lib new rules.

    • Renee

I have had that happen to me on 2 different occaisions. The manager did not know why, so they made it work. Coincidentally, both transactions were at the cosmetics counter.

    • Maggie

This happened to me too. Another cashier said to just enter it as a MQ. She re-rang the transaction because she said they just got talked to about not just entering coupons and she didn’t want to get fired. When she re-did the transaction and scanned the RR first, then the other MQ, it worked. No idea why.

  13. Gels

do you need to have a walgreens card to get a RR? Do they limit the number of RR to each card?

  14. Teetee20055

I just did it three times. I add the 49 cents candy as a filter. Subtotal 08 cents and I paid 33 cents for each transaction after tax.

  15. Brandi

Has anyone in TX tried this today? I’ve got a toddler in tow and don’t want to hassle with RRs not printing.

    • Maria

      Same :-/

  16. mycouponlady88

Is it working for all advertised varieties? Or just the one pictured above?

  17. mycouponlady88

Is it working for all advertised varieties? Or just the one pictured above?

  18. Rowen

Could you buy one, get the $3, then buy three more and use the $1 coupons and the $3 rr to pay for it? It’s still over three dollars.

    • John K. Wilson

No, you only get 1 RR per transaction. Use other fillers.

      • Rowen

Oh okay. And we have to have the same amount of items and coupons? Like I can’t buy three items and use three coupons and the register reward, right?

  19. Kim

    Yessssssssss
    Working on all varieties,
And you can use regester rewards
    Still active…

  20. Doreen

  21. Natasha

    • Donna

  24. Ger

    Still working and rolling!

  25. Amy H

    Just worked for me.

  26. melody

not working in beaumont, tx on college

  27. Whitney

Did it at four different stores in Springfield, MO, rolling worked fine until the last store. Used the $0.49 candy as a filler, paid with rr and the new one didn’t print.

  28. Sam

    No longer working in MI.

  29. Livy

Not rolling in Houston anymore 🙁

    • Maria

Thank you for the heads up!

  30. Rachel

Not working in the San Francisco Bay Area. 🙁

  31. becky

I did this at lunch and it worked. just tried it again and I didn’t get the RR, so I think at least in my area they have it fixed. I want trying to “roll” either, just purchased one tube of the toothpaste.

  32. Trinity

Although the rolling isn’t working anymore, can I just buy 1 toothpaste and still get a $3 RR???

  33. Donna

    Sorry Trinity…the deal is dead.
