Dollar General switched all summer/swim items to 90% off yesterday including toys and pools too (I checked a DG Market and a DG store!). Load up on 10 cent sand buckets and 10 cent chalk, bubbles and silly putty. All items pictured were 90% off!!! I scored over 100 items for $10!!! Lots of toys for the treasure boxes at my kid’s school. [/h2s_box]

Some stores may have already taken up their summer/swim items and replaced them with their Christmas stock. Also, check clearance bins. My DG Market only has clearance bins but they mix items in with 70% off items too..so its more of a “dig” at that store. Hope this helps! Kites are 90%off in swim/clearance section too.
I’ve been waiting for this since I got lots of things last year but all 3 stores that I checked had next to nothing left when it was 70% off last week. : (
I went to 3 stores in douglasville, ga. I didn’t find much.
Our store has a TINY section left. I’m gonna go and see what we might be able to find.

I’m looking for some cheap clearance beach/pool towels… Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? We’re going on vacation and I forgot to buy beach towels and we don’t have any! :-0 lol
I saw some at Target the other day for $3.88, they were on an end cap in the bathroom section. I did not get any since I stocked up when Kohls had a sale but thought it was good price. Good luck and enjoy your vacation:)
I would ask a close friend or family member. I always ask my mom..she always has the best beach towels.
Just came back from our TINY store because we are rural town but much to my surprise I scored some stuff! Make sure you browse around the store because I found a pool and sprinkler toys up on a top shelf and they were not marked but low and behold were included in the 90% off. $30 pool for $3 and the cute sprinkler toys that were $10 and $6 for $1 and .60! I am putting some up for next year and donating some. Thank you for the heads up!

I wish! our dollar general doesn’t have anything summer left… I went months ago when they did the 50% off and the store had no toys, bubbles or chalk but congrats to you talk about a score

I always have a hard time telling the cost of/deciphering which items are clearanced and for how much. I went to 5 different stores for the last clearance event and I couldn’t tell what was what. Any suggestions?
Mine in Florida had lawn and garden items marked 70% off. They had lots of $2 and $3 pots (60-70 cents after discount) and other cute things. Books we’re 50% off and green dots we’re 60% off
I got a ton!!! i almost feel like i robbed the place! Ours here in wichita falls, tx (atleast two out of the five) had summer, 4th of july and garden stuff from 70-90% off. I got atleast two pools a ton of inflatable balls and swim rings, silly putty… etc etc. I probably should have spent about $100 but it came out to $15!!!!

Knowing from working at a DG at a point, these places are a bit of a mess. I happened upon my clearence without notice. Had them price check some items. Got hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for $10. Including pools for .80 and large pools for 1.80!!! Including tons of other stuff. Just grab any summer toys pools and pool toys and have them price checked by an employee!! Good luck.
I didn’t have a lot at my store but I got a few things to use as stocking stuffers and a few toys for the backyard next year!
