I always use the carving pumpkins for roasting seeds and making pies. They’re fine!
These are not baking pumkins there is a difference.
You want the small sugar pumpkins for that. They are much better.
I use these pumpkins all the time to make pumpkin pie!
We always buy these (especially after Halloween—-super cheap) and roast the seeds. I also bake them and then can and/or freeze the pulp since we like pumpkin year round. They are great for baking, pancakes, etc.

I placed an order for 2 medium pumpkins and it went through fine, and I got an order confirmation. But just received a call from Lowes stating they are out of stock and my order was canceled 🙁

If lowes is out of stock, Aldi has “medium” .. Really they are big!! For 1.99 🙂

Yep, got the same thing; a call stating they had none. From TWO different Lowe’s, telling me they had none when one store had 7 and the other had 12. There is something going on here.
Darn, I actually have to go to Lowe’s today, but it seems my store is out of the orange ones and has only one of the Autumn Variety in stock. Oh well, I’ll just carve up some winter squash for my jack o’lanterns like I have in the past.

Bummer! The store called and cancelled my order…said just this am they had to throw away all the pumpkins as they were rotten.

I called Lowes Customer Service and told them what is going on and the lady called the store. She says the store count system is running behind and because they are LIVE products the counts tend to be off. I am still going in to check after work though.
My store said all the pumpkins were rotten this am so they were thrown out. Their system still showed inventory, but it has not yet updated.
I do find it strange too considering several hours after I receive the cancellation call, Lowe’s website still says its in-stock for my locations.

I got my big pumpkins at Aldi. They were $0.99 each when I bought them last week. I don’t know how much they are today but Aldi always has the cheapest price on pumpkins.

Ordered 3 from Orland Park in IL. Website showed 9 available, but after I placed the order, the store called and canceled it because they were out of stock.
I ordered 2 large ones and went to the store. They had two, but they were much smaller than I expected. I ended up not buying them.
After my lowes cancelled, I went grocery shopping at Aldi today. Huge pumpkins on sale 99 cents!!! So happy I went. They had 2 big bins full still.
