For those of you who have ALDI near you, I buy packages of wipes there on a weekly basis for $.85. The everyday price.

  3. Sarah

i thought these were on recall.

    • Em

The lots impacted by the recall were pulled. 🙂

  4. Mommy3under3

These were under a recall fyi!

  5. Lisa

They wouldn’t let me buy these bc they said they cause bad rashes. I didn’t look into it anymore to find out if it was just a bad batch.

I had some of the recalled packages and when I returned they had me fill out my personal info like I was just returning for no reason. I was very upset that they did the recall (bacterial) and all my information for a return was not necessary. I’m not sure what the policy is, but I know you are allowed only so many returns a year. It should have been no questions asked and return my money. I received a Walgreens gift card.
They couldn’t give me these for free now.

Forgot to mention that I did ask if this info was for the recall in case of a lawsuit and she she no, just for a return.

    • Kim

I returned 3 packages and they didnt ask for any personal info. They just gave me a store/gift card.

I’m a manager at Walgreens. Let me try to clear up any confusion. The wipes that were on recall have all been pulled from the shelves and quarantined. The recall did not include all of the wipes, only certain batches. Anything left on the shelves is not involved in the recall and are fine to purchase and use. There were only a small percentage of wipes that actually had a bacteria, the rest were recalled and quarantines as a precaution just to ensure everyone’s safety. There were many other stores involved in the recall as well. Lynn, the only reason you would be asked for personal information is if you did not have a receipt or they could not look up your purchase with your balance rewards card. Our system will not process a return without personal information unless you have your receipt or it was purchased in the last 30 days with your balance rewards card. There is no special “recall” button to do a return, it is all processed the same way. Unfortunately there is no way to “no questions asked, return your money.” There is not a policy on how many items you can return in a year. That is Target and a few other stores, but not Walgreens. I am sorry you were upset at having to give personal information, but unfortunately there is no other way to track the returns and credit the items.

Thanks for the detailed reply/response. I feel comfortable donating the 4 that I got to our local Gateway House.

      Audra, thanks for the information….
I shop at my Walgreens a few times a week. I always use my balance reward card, but I do not save receipts. It might have been over 30 days, I have no idea when they were all purchas d. What upset me was giving all my personal information as she entered it into the computer with 10 people standing right behind me. Could they not look all this up with my card?

I had 4500 points disappear from my Walgreens rewards account…do they expire? If so, shouldnt they send an email notifying me?

    • Hailey

If you do not ship within the store with ur card for 6 months they will expire.

  9. Rebecca

Is their still a recall on this ptoduct? Last time they said it was a recall on some baby wipes and this brand was included.

  10. Z

I use wipes also for quick cleaning – cheaper than paper towel, thank you!

  11. C

No thank you. I will not buy Walgreens wipes anymore regardless of the price.

Lynn some of your information will transfer over from your Balance Rewards Card. However if your address is not included on your information on the card, that is something the cashier has to ask to process the return. Unfortunately our system will not allow the cashier to skip any finformation that need to be filled in. Some cashiers might not know that by scanning your Balance Rewards Card, your information transfers to the return screen. If you are returning something again you can let them know, or just type your phone number in as they are doing the return and when they match your phone number to your rewards card, the information will auto populate into the return screen. If you are ever uncomfortable giving out your information like that simply ask if a manager can take care of your return, or try a less busy register, perhaps the cosmetic or photo counters.
