Well, this post is timely since my fitbit took a little trip in the washing machine yesterday. It’s sitting in rice at the moment while I consider my options. Alas.
Before you buy a new one, email fitbit let them know what happened. I emailed them when I washed mine just to see if they had any suggestions for possibly repairing it, and they sent me a new one no charge! I was impressed. That said the fitbit one has fallen off quite a few times, so I wish I had a wrist one instead. I would definitely buy a wrist one if I was making another purchase.
Yes! Email them. Seriously. I’m on my 5th one. They replaced my previous four. The first one fell off my wrist, 2-4 all stopped working.
I’ve actually washed mine twice and both times the rice bath had it working again… fingers crossed..
Thank you!! I got one as a gift for my mom. I love mine!!
Thanks for the suggestion! It would be nice to have a free replacement, but you are right about the fitbit one getting easily lost. I actually had to attach it to a backup leash that I also clipped to my belt loop.
I was excited to get a fitbit (that went on my wrist). It kept track of my steps and I looked forward to seeing how many I was doing each day. I wanted to see how many I would do at a Costco shopping trip so I checked it before going in and then again when I was done and realized that as long as I was holding on to the shopping cart it did not record my steps. I returned my that day (to Best Buy). Sorry to be a downer.

My 3 older kids have mentioned these fitbits so I thought if I could find a great deal I might get them each one. But since this is a “new google wallet user” deal I will only be able to score this deal once. Anyone know of any other upcoming good deals on these? Thanks!
Kohls (online now) or on Black Friday (Thursday) they are $99.95 and you wi get $30 back in Kohls cash (add something small to get to $100) and you will get a $25 mail in rebate as well so it’ll be about $45
AWESOME Jenna! Thanks! I’ll try that.
Which one is better? The Charge or the Flex? I don’t see the difference…
How do you get the mail in rebate??? Thanks
I didn’t see anything about a rebate. Can you post more info? I just ordered one from Kohls as well, for my daughter. I have the fitbit flex and absolutely love it.
I’ve also been looking for that rebate thru kohls as well as online and don’t see anything either.
@Faye: the flex only has the little lights in the front to indicate how close you are to your daily goal, the charge has a face that will allow you to alternate screens between the time, steps you’ve taken, calories burned, etc. here is a comparison chart: https://www.fitbit.com/compare (you’ll have to push the link to see a more detailed comparison). also, the charge is $30 more
Just googled it and the rebate isn’t available until Black Friday.
