My daughter asked for an AG bed for her 2nd doll for Christmas and I was just going to get a knock of bed but then this great sale. Thank you ๐
You’re welcome!
I can’t believe I just bought a USED Julie bed for $75! Oh, well… ๐
I can’t help but think of the less fortunate when it comes to these expensive dolls and accessories. I wish we’d all learn to spend our hard earned money on more important things than unnecessary plastic that your child will eventually outgrow. More-so, I’m certain your child would function perfectly fine without these materialistic dolls. Teach them the value of money. And what holidays are really meant for… “Family time.”
I’m 21 and still love all the dolls I was given as a little girl. I plan to give them to my daughters someday. IMO, worth the investment.
I love American Girl Dolls. They are a great investment. Their things are true quality. We have “family time” every day. My children are taught the value of family every day. We see their extended family (grandparents and aunts/uncles) at least once a week. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus.
American Girl products are awesome. Is each person not allowed to work
and spend their money on what they choose? I enjoy giving my daughter these quality products. My children know the value of family. We have family time every day. And, we see their extended family (grandparents, aunts and uncles) at least once per week. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus.
Wow, aren’t you judgmental and assuming. Honestly, I’d rather my daughters play with these “expensive” dolls than a handful of cheap toys that amount to the same as an American Girl doll. But, you know what – it doesn’t matter what we say to you. You clearly have an opinion – and honestly if your intention is to help – your comment isn’t helpful, just offensive.
Gabrielle, I understand where your coming from. But I have to say that American Girl dolls are one of the highest quality dolls out there. I know everyone can’t afford to buy these , but I have such wonderful memories of giving these to my daughter when she was little and we still have them 20 years later. It’s a great product and they promote self esteem and empowerment to young girls.
We have also encouraged taking the time to think about and help the less fortunate people out there, especially at this time of year and there are many!
It is also about family, friends, making memories and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas for us.
That being said they’re not enough companies out there that encourage such positive thinking for our daughters and I applaud that. Sorry for being so long- winded:) but those are just my personal thoughts. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, whether you purchase one or not:) Thank you all!
Gabrielle, I can somewhat see where you are coming from. Thank you for caring for the less fortunate. I truly hope you care enough about the needy and have contributed a significant amount to their cause. However, what you have just said is a bit judgmental about the people buying these. I pray that this comment was not just made to judge others and it truly is coming from a place of caring.
Many people work very hard and would rather put more money into something of good quality than in junk that will break within a couple of weeks… I personally have experienced this. In my family, AG is a special gift purchased by the grandparents. As parents, we buys some accessories and outfits. These dolls are made of good quality and are able to be passed down by generations. Not only are these dolls great quality but many dolls come with wonderful books that teach about different time periods and encourage children to read and learn about history. Fortunately, there are less expensive options similar to AG dolls that others can purchase if they wish. Either way, people choose to spend their money in different ways. Let’s hope that everyone does remember the less fortunate and if able, they contribute to someone in need.
AG is giving a doll to charity for each doll purchased:) I am 45 and getting my first AG doll for Christmas this year!
Christine, this is my favorite AG comment ever! Merry Christmas to you!!
Merry Christmas to you too!
That is awesome! Which doll did you choose?
Addy:) My husband wanted a new Ipod so I thought it was about time I had an AG doll:)
Great choice! Addy has an amazing story. Enjoy, Merry Christmas!
She does! I bought the books before I bought her. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you, too!
Gabrielle, I am a little confused why you felt the need to post this comment. I am not going to be purchasing anything this year from AG but don’t feel the need to condemn others who will. Merry Christmas
I think I understand where you are coming from. However, I take the opposite view. I think it’s better to spend money on one solid, worthwhile toy than to nickel and dime it away on a bunch of inexpensive junk that breaks, isn’t played with, and ultimately ends up in a landfill. I think the real problem is buying volume over quality, and lots of deal hunters do just that since it’s a “deal.” Of course, many do both, which, I suppose, is an even bigger problem.
Perhaps one could say the same about the computer or smart phone you are posting your comment from.
Target has the knockoff dolls, etc…Our Generation…and the bed is $25. I have a hard time paying the AG prices, even when discounted.
Targets dolls are nothing compared to an AG doll. The clothes and accessories however are good to play with. But the beds thru AG are great and made to last. The are made out of wood and they are built to last. My daughter has Marie Grace’s bed and its heavy and made beautiful. I would never pay full price for them, but the sale price is good and the product is worth it imo
I wish people wouldn’t judge when someone chooses to buy these dolls for their children. I don’t need to justify my purchases to you and you are entitled to your opinions, but don’t assume that others aren’t extremely charitable to the less fortunate.
I’ve had my Molly doll for over 20 years. These dolls are meant to be keepsakes that last forever. I’m so excited to now be able to share them with my daughter!
I’ve had Kirsten for 21 years! My 10 year old got Marie Grace for her birthday and my 5 year old is getting a Bitty Baby this year.
Wendy, I feel that we would be BFF!! ๐
Gabrielle, you should be glad to know that for every doll purchased through December 18th American Girl is GIVING a doll to a charity! ๐
I normally don’t post but I love America because we have the choice on how to spend our hard earned dollars. I give plenty to my church and my community and if I want to spend money on myself or my children that’s the fruit of labor no matter if I over pay by $1 or $100,000. It’s great that I have that choice. I’m not sure how anyone can be happy living in America if they feel everyone should buy the cheapest items so they can give the rest away. Know how many people wouldn’t have jobs if we all thought this way. Also, just because you spend a lot doesn’t mean you or your kids don’t know the value of a dollar. My kids save to buy things and Christ is spoken in our house daily. We don’t need his birthday to celebrate Him. We celebrate him daily and so the one time of year I splurge on my own family is Christmas and we give thanks while we do it.
Pretty sure American Girl dolls and accessories are made in China.
They are made in China! I checked into it. Haha did someone post that they were Made in America? Lol
I don’t care what people spend their money on. I just think AG is terribly overpriced.
i work with the homeless and don’t make a lot of money but if it makes my little one happy and expands her history lessons, I am on it. I only buy the accessories on sale, but my “Miracle” baby loves the heck out of her AG dolls and that’s enough for me. Oh she is 8 and donates her gently used clothing and unwanted toys to the less fortunate. Thanks for the great deal
I was once in awe of the AG prices and bought my girls the knock offs. I had my girls save their own money for the real thing and am now sold on the company! The real thing looks incredible after years of play, and is so easy to clean! That is not at all the case with the Target version. Thank you for posting these deals, I love being able to surprise my kids on occasion!
I never said AG dolls were made here. Just because something is made in China doesn’t mean it doesn’t provide a living for people here. Besides, It was a blanket statement regarding a one mind view on only buying cheap items and how that would effect our economy. Almost every product in the market has a low medium or high end brand. It’s called differentiation in the market. This creates more companies and offerings therefore jobs. If you don’t like the prices don’t buy it. Consumers decide what stays and goes in the marketplace and people must value this brand or they would be out of business. If people get upset over AG prices I can’t imagine the outcry over designer handbags and shoes. AG is a drop in the bucket. That must really take the cake.
Wow – Someone’s feeling grinchy ๐ sorry, I make no excuses for the insane amount if $ I spend at AG. I went to college and waited to get married so that I could. Selfish? Maybe? Believe me our Christmas is filled with love and family and yes lots if presents ๐ผ
Collin, some of this items are back on sale today!
