Kmart: Additional 75% Off Toy Clearance

If you have a Kmart nearby, you may want to swing by your nearest location to check out their toy clearance! For a limited time, it appears most locations are offering up an additional 75% off the already discounted clearance prices. At my local store here in Boise, Idaho, I spotted great buys on Disney Sofia, Dora the Explorer and LeapFrog games! BUT note that popular toys are going quick and the selection will vary from store to store.

I will check out kmart tomorrow but today I stopped into my cvs and the Xmas aisle said 75% off but I scanned my items and they in fact rang up 90%. I was so excited.

I didn’t look for toys…. But I did get a whole bunch of thick hand towels (they had penguins and the others had silver snowflakes) 2-packs for $2.49 (going to use them in the kitchen) and regular Christmas kitchen towels were .75 cents each…You can never have enough kitchen towels!!

That’s my motto when it comes to kitchen towels too! I’m obsessed =)

What were the prices on these? I can’t read the tags. . . .

My store was picked over for the clearance toys ever since they were 40 or 50% off during the holidays. What happened was there were toys there since the Fall and people regardless if it was 40 or 50% off put them on layaway. That basically cleared out toys clearance. And whatever was 40 to 50% off wasn’t even that great of a deal. Now at 75% it has been picked over and nothing really “wow” remains.
I did manage to pick up Angry Birds card game for $1.

It’s funny, the same thing happens when a chain store goes out of business. If it says “clearance,” people seem to buy without questioning the price. Usually the “going-out-of-business clearance prices” are much, much worse than stores’ usual prices (mostly because lots of stores offer perpetual promotions so it looks like things are on sale). I remember this from Kitchen Etc., Linens and Things, and some Kmarts. Crazy. Though the same thing goes elsewhere. If you read the Target toy clearance posts, people clearly are buying because something says clearance, not necessarily because it’s a good deal. Many of the prices I saw posted were higher on clearance at Target than at other retailers.

Does anybody know what % off Kmarts holiday stuff is? My store was picked clean of toy clearance before Thanksgiving.

Mine is at 70% right now.

Went to my Kmart in MD and the 75% off toys were right by the front door on a cart and a very poor selection. Also, Christmas clearance was only 70% off on greenery and tree trimmings. The gift wrap and stockings were only 50% off.

I went to a Kmart today for the first time in years…I didn’t even know there were any in CO (been here less than 2 years)! It was probably the worst store I’ve ever been in..including Wal-Mart! Let’s just say I saw more tarp attached to the ceiling and tubes running down collecting water in too many places to count!! Nothing great for toys and even at 70% off Christmas,I feel it was still overpriced. Over $2 for wrapping paper that cost me .75 at Target?? I did pick up a super cute doc mcstuffins set with figures from the Christmas episode, but question it’s original $24.99 price!

Just went yesterday and got A TON of toys 90% off plus and extra 20% off and then $10 back in points…super excited. Got 24 toys for $58 agree points. $4 was the most I spent on one item and it was a $49.99 Fisher price flipping gymnastics doll.

Meant to say flipping DORA doll.
