   when I try to check out it shows the item is $24.97 and then they add tax asking it around $26-$27. They have available at two store and they both show that price at checkout.

  Try checking out on the full site instead of the mobile site. That worked for me!

   It is $24.99 on the Lego site, so I think the Amazon price is inflated. HTH!

  So true. Amazon can be rather deceptive.

  $.10 a brick as the regular price is a good rule of thumb when you aren’t sure if a lego set is a good deal. The news van has 278 pieces so I would expect it to find it for $27-$28 without a sale. $17.08 would have been a great price if it was in stock anywhere near me.

   I just purchased this from my local store after the website said limited stock. Checked store after I couldn’t complete the online purchase and a store supervisor honored the price. Nice lego set!
